(Archur?)

About a month later, Archur had gotten his eighth badge and was working his way through the Pokemon League Tounament.
It was the last day and the last battle of the tournament, and it was Archur against some hot-headed guy who, much to Archur's embarassement, had girls swarming all over him.
Archur sat in his room, looking nervously at Rome. The typhlosion had gotten considerably stronger and more confident in the month since his evolution, but during the last battle, his arm had been pretty badly injured by a rock-slide attack. It wasn't broken, but he may have torn a muscle and he was in a good deal of pain. Even with an injury like this, one of the rules of the competition was that you couldn't have your Pokemon healed unless it was serious, and so Archur was going to have to leave Rome in the room, with Grace for company.
"Well... Now who am I gonna use?" he asked himself while scratching Rome behind the ears. "I need four, and Melody doesn't like this type of competition... She always cracks..." he sighed. The typhlosion thought for a minute then pointed at Ignis.
Archur raised an eyebrow and looked at the houndour. "Him...?" Archur had almost forgotten that Ignis wasn't his own Pokemon. The dog had become a part of the family...
"Well... Maybe?" he mused, "Do you want to?"

Ignis was pretty surprised. He'd been watching without really listening until he was pointed out.

"I.. I've never done of these trainer battles though! And I think I couldn't unless.. unless Archur c..." He didn't know why he couldn't say 'caught' but it made him feel weird. He wasn't trained like the others either. No way he'd be good enough for Archur to win!

Anubis translated for Archur and the boy nodded.
"I don't think I'd even need to use you, Forli, Nicholai and Anubis will handle most of it," he said as he scratched Ignis' head. "And I'll let you go once it's over, if you want. Either way, I'd really like to have you there with us."

He didn't know. He never wanted to be captured... He trusted Archur though, and believed him when he said he'd let him go. He really hoped he didn't have to battle...

"I.. I'll do it." He says quietly.

Anubis translated again and Archur smiled at the little fire canine.
"Alright, Ignis~" he smiled and pulled out a poke ball then ever so lightly tapped it to his forehead. The red light enveloped him and sucked him into the sphere while Archur patiently waited to see if Ignis would accept the temporary home.

The feeling of weightlessness is incredibly unsettling, and Ignis has to fight to keep from trying to get free of the PokéBall. He felt trapped, but he had to wait...

As soon as the ball clicked, Archur let Ignis out of the ball and scratched his ears softly. "There... Not too bad I hope?" he asked with a smile.

He shook his body quickly, trying to shake the feeling fast.[/I-2

<It felt.. weird and uncomfortable to me, but... I'll handle it.>

Anubis translated and Archur smiled softly, "Well, you won't ever have to be in there for too long," he assured Ignis and began scratching his back.

<I don't want to be back in there unless I absolutely have to.> Archur's scratching helped a lot to calm the canine down.

"Don't worry," he smiled and patted the canine's side affectionately after Anubis translated.

<I just hope if I have to battle, I can follow you're instructions.> He was pretty worried he wouldn't, truth be told. He wasn't as strong as the Pokémon he'd watched battling earlier either, and that didn't help.

Anubis translated again.
"It's your choice to follow my instructions," he said, "Partly... The gym badges sorta compel you to listen to me more. Anyways, I don't think you'll have to battle."

<I hope not, but I'll do my best for a friend.> He says firmly, his choice made. He'd fight as hard as he could to help Archur win!

<Oh I know you'll do good if you do get put out~> Melody giggled as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

<Thanks, but you've got more confidence than I do about me. I'm practically still wild!>

The shiny zangoose just licked his cheek softly and smiled.

He licked back, though his smiles seems like a worried one.

The next day he's practically using Dig as he paces back and forth waiting for Archur's match. This was too much! What if he lost? He'd let everyone down!

<You're worrying too much,> Melidy said softly. She was sitting down in front of Ignis, holding the bottoms of her feet together and smiling while her tail wagged. Generally she looked pretty cute.
