She giggled and hopped in a circle around him, <That works on all boys~> she giggled, <'specially on Romey~>

<go lick him then!> He said urgently, blushing again as he scrambles to his feet.

<But he's not playing,> she protested, <And you were the one standing on my tail,> she stuck her tongue out at him then jusmped into his face again, giving him a big mouthful of zorua mane.

<you could go a- Mff!> The clever Zorua had gotten him again, and he had to fight to keep from biting on the mane. Instead, he dropped to the ground and started to spit out the fur. <You win this time!>

<THat's right!> she cutely puffed out her chest then turned tail and scampered over towards Anubis and Hope to see if the lucario would try to teach her how to read.

He laughed happily and stood up, shaking out his fur. Venice sure liked to play! He looked around and ended up walking over to Rome slowly.

The qui lava couldn't help but laugh. That was such a silly apology to hear.
"That's... It doesn't bother me... And... I'm not mad at you, in case you were wondering," Rome said with drooping ears and a sad, hurting smile.

<I did try to get her to play with you, honest.> He says truthfully, feeling bad for his fellow Fire Type. <Hope kinda... told me how you feel.>

"It's not exactly a secret..." he said quietly, "Everyone seems to know except for Venice... And I show her in every way I can, but I can't just tell her..."

<I'm sure if you licked her chin like she licked mine to get me off her tail, except not while you're playing, it might help.> He couldn't really do more than speculate, having never been in a relationship himself.

That I love her...> he looked down at the dirt, <And then someone like you comes along, and she is immediately trying to get your attention but she just lets me go.>

<I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get her sole attention, and I tried to get you to play so she'd play with you too.> He laid down again, getting comfortable. <I think it's because I'm new to her.>

He shook his head, <She doesn't call everyone cute... That means she likes you...>

<Well, I don't feel the same toward her as you do, so you don't have to worry about me, okay?>

It eased him slightly but even if Ignis didn't feel the same way, Venice could be annoyingly persistency when she wanted something.

The quilava was confused by but okay with the sudden topic change and he thought for a moment.
<Well... It's weird... It's not bad, but it's weird. You can feel all of your bones growing and changing and you get this sudden really big surge of energy," he said thoughtfully.

<Nah. I didn't like having a long nose like that. Also, it's a lot easier to walk with more than just one claw for a foot.>
