((I'm here - though I am busy and not in a good mood (meaning this post is going to suck). Congrats to your brother, I hope he's happy.))
I keep quiet the rest of the time, though all I wanted to do was calm Tressa down. She seemed so angry - and I understood why. Maybe not fully, but I did have an idea. Once inside the inn, I went into a different room and slipped my armor back on over my clothes. After that I sat down at one of the tables. Eirid, the inkeeper's daughter, asked me a bunch of questions about the college and then left.

Tressa followed him in and went to sit down on the bed. She took in a deep breath and let it out. "Dad, you really can't do this to me. I used to be like that. You changed my life by adopting me. This girl needs you. I literally can't tell you not to adopt her." She paused a moment and shrugged, looking away. "..I'm just not looking forward to being the odd one out again. 'Hey, look at that cute little khajiit family and their dumpy little human'."
She fiddled with her fingers. "I'm a grown-up now. I'm gonna be heading out and doing my own thing anyways. But you have to stick in one place, dad. Don't drag her around and don't drag her into dangerous situations."

"You do realize that my species is generally looked down upon by everyone, right?" he forced a laugh, "So you would be no one's dumpy little human. You would be my daughter and I would still defend you with my life and I would risk everything for you. Nothing can ever come between us and I will always love you with every last ounce of my being. She will be your little sister if I go through with this. My wants are not all that matters. I want you to be happy when you visit me from your adventures. I want you to able to enjoy coming home to your father, and not hate it just because there is another there..."
Tressa shrugged slightly and sighed. She was quiet for a few long moments, looking down at the floor. "I'll always enjoy coming home to you, dad. Adopt her. I really don't know why I have to keep saying it." She moved over to give him a hug. "..I was yours first anyways, and you were mine first. So she can deal with any claim I lay to your attention when I come home."
"Of course... You will always be the most important person to me..." he assured her and kissed her nose, "Let's go..." he rubbed his nose against hers and smiled softly, "Let's go on another adventure together."
Tressa smiled softly and nuzzled him back. "That sounds like a great idea, dad. An adventure sounds awesome." She pulled away and took his hand, walking back with him to find Sinia. "So where are we going, dad? Do you know?"
He looked over at Sinia, "How about we sail to Solstheim?" he offered, "I hear there's some interesting things on the North face of the island."
"Isn't Solstheim an island off the coast of Morrowind?" I ask as the subject is brought up. I know a little of the Skaal, and I think a ship goes out of Windhelm once in awhile. I've never really left Skyrim - foreign affairs don't concern me as much. "I remember someone mentioning the place a week or two ago."
"Yep. I heard the Dovakiin was taking care of some business there. Might run into him," Dmitri smiled, "Anyways, I hear there's a lot of ruins and things there to explore. I'm particularly interested in the Dwemer ruin of Kagrumez."
Tressa listened to their suggestions and she smiled in agreement. "I think ruins sounds pretty cool. It'll be like the old days, right dad?" She did like ruins. They were always neat. "So when do we want to head out?" She looked between them and waited for a decision.
"Well, Windhelm is less than a day's ride away. We could probably get there before nightfall and then you and I could spend the night at the inn, Tressa," he suggested, "Then we'll spend part of tomorrow getting supplies and we'll head to the docks to speak with whichever captain is sailing to Solstheim."
"You don't need to stay at the inn if you don't want to," I offer. "there's a few extra rooms at my house you can stay in." Kagrumez sounds familiar for some reason, I don't know why but it does. It must have been mentioned in a book somewhere... I don't know.
(So sorry )
He nodded, "Probably. That's where I heard about it, in a book from Calcelmo in Markarth," he smiled, "This should be a lot of fun," he said cheerily, "At least the Nords at the docks are more friendly."

Tressa listened to their plans and smiled. "That sounds like a great idea. I'm fine with that!" She hugged her father and then looked at Sinia. "Really? I think that'd be a lot nicer than an inn, don't you think so dad?" She grinned. She was so excited to go out on an adventure. "So come on! Let's get started!"
Calcelmo. The stubborn mage in Understone Keep. I stand up, sling the quiver of arrows on my back again. The sheer energy and enthusiasm of Tressa leaves me happy and with nothing to say. It's a bit humorous, not very much but a little. It makes me smile, let's leave it at that.
((It's okay. I had the weirdest dream, every character that I've ever interacted with on an RP was there. It was pretty messed up. Yours especially.))

"Thank you very much, Sinia," he smiled, "We'd love to stay with you for the night. Now, let's get going," he grinned and helped Tressa up onto his horse then climbed up behind her, "You'll always be my little girl," he whispered to Tressa and kissed her cheek, "No matter how big you get," he said and out one arm around her belly.
(Lol it's always so weird when dreams like that happen xD)
Tressa got onto the horse and smiled at her father's whisper, blushing a little. "Well, as long as you don't coddle me, I don't mind that." She looked up at her father and kissed his cheek back. " 'cause you'll always be my dad." She smiled a bit. "But don't be surprised when you find out that I can hold my own a lot better than I used to, alright? I've learned a lot."

((Hey something happened and I won't be on for awhile, not too long but I wanted to let you know. Go as far as you can without me and assume she follows, power play if you have to. Can't respond right now sorry...))
"You're only 17. You're still young, and I'll keep coddling you until I can't," he teased her as he gently prompted his horse to move with his heels. "You've grown to be a very beautiful young woman... I have another gift for you once we get to Windhelm, okay?" he told her and nuzzled her cheek.
(Alright I'm sorry to hear it. I hope things get better for you soon)

((Oh goodness I'm so sorry. It's totally alright. Good luck with everything!))
Tressa laughed softly. "Dad, seventeen isn't young. I'm a woman now. A real woman." She smiled at him, and she blushed when he said she was beautiful. "Thank you, dad." She nuzzled him back. No matter how old, she was still his daughter and she still loved him. "Another gift? What is it, dad?" She smiled softly, even though she knew he wouldn't tell her.
