Dmitri was larger than me, meaning it would take a shorter amount of time for me to get drunk. Or poisoned. I drink about half of it and realize that my thinking is now fuzzy. I'm able to remain in a good state of mind for now.

Dmitri chugged the whole thing and tried asking for another but his words were slurred and was about to fall out of his chair. This khajiit could out-drink about any Nord in Tamriel but just one flagon of this and he was too drunk to walk.

I laughed at how messed up Dmitri looked. I couldn't even understand what he was saying. I would have put down the flagon upon seeing how drunk this thing can make you, but already I was under the effect of it and couldn't pick out things I should and should not go through with. Of course, I take another drink and it gets worse. From here on out, one could easily presume that I would not remember anything tomorrow morning. Hope to the gods I don't go out and mess things up again. Dmitri was probably going to fall over sometime soon, poor cat.

She was right and he tumbled out of his seat then used the table to stand and he smiled drunkenly at Sinia before his legs have out and he had to drag himself back into his seat with a drunken groan.

"Are you alright?" I could still talk, barely but it still should be clear enough to understand without too much effort on the other person's part. My judgement was poor, I finish off the flagon and set it down in the table. I have no idea what Talen-Jei has in this, but whatever it is, it's been aged a very long time. Now I'm completely drunk. That flagon was equal to about two and a half servings of alcohol, that did not help.

He mumbled something incoherent then face planted onto the tank and started snoring loudly.

Oh my. I think he's going to be out for awhile. Talen-Jei walks by and mutters something about having to discontinue putting so much alcohol in the drink. But other than that, he doesn't really pay attention to Dmitri. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, if I were in a proper state of mind then I could handle it, but while drunk any efforts to do anything logical are all but futile. The only reason I'm still upright is because I'm sitting down. If I stood up, well, then that would be an entirely different story.

Dmitri awoke from his drunken slumber a few hour later as sober as a newborn. He stretched and yawned then looked about. He stood up and stretched again then looked around for his Nordic companion.

How... How did I get here? Of all places, I end up on the roof? There isn't even a ladder up here. Last I checked, this wasn't illegal, so the guards won't be after me. I don't even remember falling asleep, that's the weird part. But I must rejoice in the wonder that this time I am certain of my location in the province. I jump down, it was quite a drop but not enough to inflict damage upon myself. It was convenient that I'd woken up on top of the inn, I don't really have to wander around the city too much, which I prefer not to do because I find it very confusing. Upon entering I find that there are still many people gathered within the inn. My guess is that just a few hours have passed. Not all that bad. No one's attacking me, also a good sign.

Dmitri walked outside and looked around, spotting her nearby he smiled, "Hello, Sinia!" he called over to her.

There he is. "Hello again," I greet Dmitri with a smile. After debating in my mind whether or not I should ask him this or not, I decide to. "By any chance do you remember how I got on the roof?" This wasn't important. However I was intrigued, and most of all confused, scaling walls is definitely not one of my strengths. And with heavy armor on, the difficulty of the task would be raised by a noticeable amount. Did he wake up in a... strange spot? Or did he not even pass out? Can't remember much. It's a blur. I need to stop doing that. There are things out there that need to be killed. And they're not good things, to put it lightly. I'm still a little bit tired, honestly, though that is not going to bother me. Used to it.

"I have no idea, comrade. I woke up in the same spot at the table," he stretched again. He apparently didn't suffer the same alcohol-induced memory loss Sinia did and he at least remembered he passed out.

"Then I suppose it will remain a mystery." That didn't matter all that much, there were many moments in my life I had lost due to the very same reason. I stay quiet for a moment, just thinking of what to say. "I'd like to travel with you for a time, if it won't bother you. From the small bit I've seen I can already tell there is so much I don't know." The whole Dwarven Sphere thing was a prime example... So far I had not even heard of anyone accomplishing something like that. It was very rare I asked if I could stay in contact with someone, of course I saw them around every so often and greeted them but the time in between those meetings were unpredictable.

He immediately smiled, "It would be a pleasure to have you as company, comrade. A khajiit can get lonely in this cold land, when so far from home and family."

"I can understand." I didn't know who was left in my family, and I rarely visited my hometown anyways. His family might be in the province of Elsweyr, which lied in the southern reaches of Tamriel. Or that may not be his home. How am I to know? Personally, I've never strayed from Skyrim. Too many things to keep me occupied here, it never even crossed my mind. "And thank you. It would be nice to travel with someone for a change instead of just being alone." There were so many rumors going around - packs of feral werewolves, dragons roosted up in mountaintops and craters, vampires attacking townsfolk, more bandits, a few cannibals, and then the normal beasts that sometimes gave the people trouble.

"Well, just let me know when you're ready to go," he smiled and went in to pay and get some of his things.

I checked to make sure I had not lost anything... It wasn't like many things of value were kept with me, but everything I owned had some sort of meaning to them. They all contained the memory of a battle. From what I could tell, no one had robbed me or anything so I was ready to leave already. Dmitri had gone inside, he could have possibly left one of his things in there or something. Or did he go inside to wait for me? I have no idea. I wait outside for the moment, watching the city. Might be awhile before I see it again.

Dmitri returned about two minutes later and smiled at his companion, "Alright, I'm ready to go. How about you?"

"Yes, I'm ready." I give a small nod and stop looking at all the trees - they were pretty this time of year. Couldn't help it. "Any preferences on where to go?" If he had nothing more than the one bounty on the bandit, I had dozens more. They all piled up and I never really did finish them all. These are tough times. Crime rates are up, good people are few.

"I've got nothing that needs to be rushed. I'm a man who's easy to please. Anything from battle to just watching butterflies can keep me happy... Maybe it's because I'm a cat," he joked.
