Cats liked butterflies? I guess that could be understandable. They chase their tails as kittens. "There are reports of unusually strange noises coming from a cave not too far north of here, if it's fine with you we could go see what it is." I had my suspicions about it, but there was definitely no guarantee that I was right.

"Sure, that's fine by me," he shrugged, "Do you mind if I actually change my armor? As much as I like how this dwarven stuff looks, I have dragon bone equipment which is a lot more comfortable."
Sinia
"Sure, I don't mind." Dragon bone? How did that even - wait I don't want to know. I've killed dragons, but never thought of using their bones to forge armor. Besides that I probably couldn't.

Dmitri disappeared behind a large rock and the sound of clanking metal could be heard. He returned about ten minutes later with a full suit of dragon plate armor, aside from the helmet which he held under his arm. All of his weapons had converted to dragon bone as well and he had a battle axe strapped to his back, a bow slung around his shoulder and a mace at his waist. He still held the dwarven shield Spellbreaker though.
"Alright, I'm ready. Once we're done with this job, can we head north?"
(would it be alright if Dmitri's adopted daughter hopped in to this RP? She's played by Celestinagrey)

((That's fine with me. I found her profile through yours. Should I change the title or do you want me to leave it? Oh and fair warning it takes me awhile to get used to people.))
((Isn't Spellbreaker the Daedric Artifact of Peryite? Or just something he enchanted with the same name? Sorry I was just wondering. I think too much.))

"Of course. I know the general location of the cave, come on." My sword was still strapped to my back, just as it had been and hopefully will remain. I have no clue what it's made of, only that it's some of the strongest material I've seen in a long time. I start for the Riften gates, letting the image of Skyrim run through my head. Kind of like an internal map, only not as accurate as a real one. I remember which river it lies next to and forge a path from memory. "We'll need to go to the East a little bit to avoid the mountains, but other than that it's north. South side of the closest river. Though how far down the river, I'm not sure."

(Naw, you don't need To change it it might only be temporary though and yes, I think so. It's the cool dwarven shield that makes the ward)
"You lead the way," he smiled at her, "We have a couple days before I do actually need to go up north. There's a very important ceremony I need to get to," he gave a proud smile.

((It's not a Dwarven shield, those look a bit different, but the general style is the same. Kinda looks like it was modeled after Dwemer stuff. I just went on my old Redguard and checked. Freaking boredom. On my first playthrough I got so confused as to how that thing ended up in my inventoy...))
((Alright then c: Willkommen, Freund von Eon!))

"Is it Markarth you need to go to? I remember you mentioning it a little bit earlier." I wave to the guards at the gate and they deem us safe, allowing us to exit through the small wooden doors. My eyes automatically shift to the lake. Landmarks were my way of moving about without straying too far from the beaten path. I wondered for a moment what kind of ceremony he needed to attend, but that was a more personal question so I will keep that to myself for the time being. Suddenly the memory of the landscape floods over me, and I start walking again. I'm smart, you just need to give me a minute sometimes.

(No, it's dwarven. Not in the normal sense, like part of the average suit of dwarven armor, but it was made by the dwarves)
"No... I think that Markarth is actually technically south of here... If not, it's straight west. I mean straight up north, to Winterhold," he gave a proud smile, "I do live in Markarth, but if we went there, then we'd miss the ceremony."

"Oh yeah. Didn't really think correctly. Don't worry, you'll be able to make it up there in time." The only thing left in Winterhold is the college. I don't have anything against it; and the citizens should try and rebuild the place if they want it to return to its former glory, instead of complaining about it all the time. Quite pointless, if you ask me. I make sure that the river we needed to follow was the correct one, using a very large tree as confirmation of this. "It's not too far. Hopefully whatever's there will only be inside and not patrolling the perimeter of the area."

(Ish okay )
Dmitri grabbed the dragon bone Bow from his back and pulled an envy arrow from it's quiver, "Well, we can never be too careful," he said and rested the arrow against the string, ready to pull it back.

In broad daylight, very few creatures would expect an attack. Mainly, those occurred during the late hours of the night. Safe than sorry? "This is true..." I'm keeping my weapons sheathed for now though. It's better to have one person ready to attack and one doing nothing but searching for signs of danger. We traveled along side of the river for a way. A splotch of blood was found on the path, and more as we went along. Human skulls and bones. "Vampires or animals, that's all I can think of." My voice is barely above a whisper. The remnants got more and more recurring. Both creatures are sloppy when it concerns their meals...

"Could be werewolves... Maybe trolls," he suggested as he took note of the teeth marks in the bones, "Vampures never really take the bodies apart..." he said quietly.

((Haha I loved doing that with my Khajiit! Beating people up was a lot quicker too. If that's even a good thing...))

"I'd rather fight trolls..." Trolls are no easier to kill than werewolves, but I don't enjoy murdering werewolves. Yeah, most of them butcher innocent people. There's just something about killing a misfit who has the same abnormality as you that just makes you feel terrible. The entrance to the cave is shrouded in darkness. Light may exist past the entrance however. Drawing my sword silently out of its sheath, I slowly descend into the mouth of the cave. It would be nice to know what I'm going to be dealing with before it attacks us.

"As would I... I don't happen to carry silver with me... Ever... Maybe we won't have to fight them if they're werewolves... We both should get along with them pretty well, eh comrade?" he smirked.

"Maybe," I nod and smile. Until I know what this cave contains, I'm not going to say anything more. A few feet into the cave, a small light can be seen. Whether it's an opening in the ceiling, or an actual candle, I cannot be sure. Everything's quiet. No one is going to notice us unless we were to start running. There was the possibility that they could smell us though. This place was bigger than it might appear from the outside - it was obvious that there was tunnels leading off into other places, which in turn could then sprout off into more tunnels. "See anything?" I ask quietly, so that Dmitri would be the only one to hear me. Can't risk anything.

Dmitri's sensitive night vision was on over drive and he peered around, seeing nothing. "I... Hear some pretty heavy breathing from ahead," he whispered, his ears pricked forwards.

"That narrows it down a little bit." This was true, whatever it is, it's not human or not in human form. I take a few steps forward, taking care not to make any noise, and look around the area. I remained in the shadows. My vision limited me in this case, so until there was light I would have to rely on my other senses. I hear some heavy steps move towards us, and instinctively move out of sight - behind a large rock. We will haveto reveal ourselves eventually.

There's a loud whistle then a loud "think" like noise followed immediately by a whine as Dmitri lets loose of his arrow, hitting his target directly and then without even putting his bow away he cast a light spell, illuminating the limp form of a feral wolf.
"There's probably more deeper... Or maybe spriggans..."

My sword had been prepared to slice the beast open. Dmitri killed it before it got too close. That was better. He has the ability to see more clearly in dim light. "Wolves travel in packs. Except for rouges, and those are few and far between." The candlelight spell Dmitri cast aided me greatly, being one of the races of man, my vision lacked greatly and could be rendered useless due to the simplest of circumstances. "Most wolves aren't too challenging to fight off. Spriggans don't pose much of a problem either - though their healing abilities sometimes make them durable foes." I was probably stating the obvious. "One wolf couldn't produce that much of a mess in half a year. There will be something else down here. It doesn't matter what, only that its needless profusion of murder is put to an end." With my vision back, I felt a lot more confident in what I was doing. This may only last a little while yet, and so I survey the area and try to take in everything. I start moving once more, remaining silent as humanly possible - my sword at the ready should anything ambush us.

Around the next corner they come face to face with a young khajiit girl, probably only around 16. Her tongue was swollen and purple and sticking out of her mouth and her eyes had become yellow. She was hanging from the ceiling by a noose made of vines.
Dmitri grimaced and gently cut her down, "We'll take her to the hall of the dead in the next town..." he said sadly and removed the noose then closed her eyes and pushed her tongue back into her mouth. It was still wet, which was the worse part. If they had been a half an hour earlier, they could have saved her.
"She died recently. Come on, we have some disgusting murderers to take care of."
