"I can see how that would be intimidating," Maybe it was the reason he had armor made out of dragon's bones in the first place. I start thinking about what I could do to make their lives a little bit easier. Losing one's family, now that I can understand. "I can get some money sent to the orphanage, make sure they're still able to keep their doors open." I stop a moment and think some more, then add, "And I can convince one of my friends to adopt a few of you." 'Convince' is a weak word. The friend I was referring to kind of lives in my house, and has been saying that he wants to adopt one of the kids from the orphanage sometime soon. He would move out - but the way things are set up it works perfectly. There's a Blacksmith forge there that would not be used without someone there. And while the house is huge for one person, it's kept from deteriorating. I send money back to be stored, he makes money off the forge. There's no desire for change. A few kids could easily be supported.

A few of them look up at her hopefully and Dmitri said nothing. He didn't want to pick favorites and he already had a daughter, though he hadn't told Sinia that was the reason for going to Winterhold, but if he was going to adopt one, it would be the 14 year old at his side.
"Well... It's getting late. You all should get some sleep," he said and turned to Sinia, "I'll take first watch."

"Don't look at me, I won't be the one deciding." I say as a few of them look at me with pleading eyes. Me raising a child is a very bad idea. I'd never be there. The younger kids get themselves adjusted immediately, while the older ones linger for a short while. I look over at Dmitri, "Alright, just wake me up in a couple hours and I'll take over for you."
Dmitri Yashklov (played by EonRising)

He nodded and turned so that he was looking away from te fire and e gently stroked the head of the khajiit girl which rested on his lap as she fell asleep. He rested his bow at his side and looked around idly.
After a couple hours, he found himself growing very tired. He leaned over and gently shook Sinia's shoulder, "H-hey," he yawned widely, "Your turn... Comrade," he mumbled and lay down, pulling the cat girl closer to him so her head was on his chest and he fell asleep.

((Happy Halloween! Ish... It's kinda... not midnight yet...))

Sinia
I take a few minutes to completely wake up, as I am not one to enjoy waking up early, but I nod and shift my position so that I'm completely upright. Once I'm up, I don't go back to sleep. It's now that I realize one of the Bosmer is leaned up against me. Most likely because the poor kid was cold. He's one of the younger ones, what do you expect. Dmitri seems very attached to the one Khajiit girl, and I feel stupid now that the thought comes to mind that it's taken this long for me to take note of that... The sky is still dark as anything, the fire's died down to mere embers, and the only sound is the slight popping of the dying flames. Quite peaceful. I try to clear my mind and just look at the sky. Dawn should only be a few hours away... Four at most.

Dmitri began to snore quietly, not in the loud, irritating way you'd expect from a warrior of his tier, but it was almost cute actually, with a faint purr-like undertone to each exhale. His fluffy tail twitched at his side but otherwise he was still.

Dmitri's reminding me of a housecat we had when I was little. He purred all the time. It's kind of soothing. The sun starts showing its face on the eastern horizon a few hours later, warm rays creeping up on the cold landscape. The night had been quiet, no trouble or even a hint of any. One of the smaller kids wakes up, but still lays in the same spot for now.

Dmitri finally woke up about an hour after sunrise and slowly say up. He looked down at the girl in his lap and softly stroked her head then looked over at Sinia.
"Good morning, comrade," he smiled tiredly and yawned.

"Good morning," I greet Dmitri, "sleep well?" About three quarters of us were awake now. The dragon from last night came back about an hour ago, roared for fifteen minutes and then left again. Looks like it might rain today. The air's heavy and the sky filled with clouds. We'd do well to get these kids to the city before it starts pouring.

"Yup," he nodded and put on his armor over his clothes, which took about ten minutes.
"Alrighty, everyone ready to go? Or does everyone want to eat some deer first?" he offered.

Sinia
"We're used to eating next to nothing because of those weird people, so if we eat too much in too short a time it won't be good..." One of the older ones says. This is a good point I guess - and none of the others seem to be objecting to it. "You want to just go then?" I ask, most of them respond with a nod. Others are silent, which I'm assuming is an agreement. I realize that I don't have part of my armor and grab it, quickly strapping it on my shoulder. Everything else is in order.
Dmitri Yashklov (played by EonRising)

"Alright, Sinia, you lead the way. I'll take up the rear," Dmitri said and started ushering the teens towards the path then started following right behind them. The khajiit girl remained right at his side.

((Sorry I got two minutes to write this))

I agree silently and take the lead. Riften's a few miles away, shouldn't take more than a couple hours to reach. Nothing seems eager to attack us - obviously a good thing. No one's saying anything either. An hour passes the city of Riften is visible through the slight fog. "Almost there."

(You don't have to do the whole fancy bold name and centered text x3 I know which character you're posting as. It looks nice, but it's not necessary :P)

Dmitri hummed quietly as they walked, an upbeat tune that he was making up as they went.
After about half an hour more, they arrived at the gates and were quickly let in by the guards and Dmitri took the lead from there and try we're also escorted by a few guards.
"Well..." Dmitri looked at Sinia as the children were all led inside of the orphanage, "That was quite the experience..." he mused, "I do like that girl... She was very sweet... Maybe I'll adopt her, probably after we go to Winterhold though."

((I know, it's just an old habit from sites like awesomesauce and chickensmoothie. I'll stop, I just find it weird because now I'm hooked on first-person stuff and used to formatting for other sites ^^ And sorry I don't do line breaks, I write so many essays it's nice to rest~))
((Skyrim is actually a lot smaller than I thought... Just looked it up.))

"I'm glad it happened - but I'm also sad that there are people out there who have the heart to participate in events that take the lives of people just for enjoyment." I may have said it a time or two before, yet I can't get past it. The Khajiit girl was sweet, I didn't hear her talk very much but just the way she looked at you, you could tell that she had no intention of harming anyone or causing people to be upset. "She did seem nice," I agree, "and if you adopt her I'm sure she'll be happy. She obviously liked you." I pause a moment - trying to map out how long it would take to make it all the way up to Winterhold. "We can make it to Windhelm by nightfall if we leave now, then up to Winterhold tomorrow."
Dmitri Yashklov (played by EonRising)

He nodded,"I do think that I will adopt her," he said, "Anyways, yeah, let's get going. It's very important that I don't miss this," he said matter-of-factly and stretched, "Let's get going then," he smiled and started back towards the gates after giving the Kgajiit girl a final wave through the window.

"What is it you need to be there for?" I finally ask, with a slight hesitation; I'm normally not one to get into details with this sort of thing. Dmitri seems to be excited about it, for lack of better phrasing. I follow him towards the gates, looking back at the Orphanage quickly before it permanently leaves my line of vision.
Dmitri Yashklov (played by EonRising)

"My daughter is graduating," he smiled warmly, "It's been a while since I've seen her too. It will be nice," he said positively, "She's 16 now, I think... Maybe 17. I only see her every so often."
Sinia (played by Kat2000) Topic Starter

"Oh," I say an a slightly surprised tone. Dmitri looked to be just a few years younger than I am - didn't expect him to have a daughter. "I'm glad you'll get to see her again. Must be hard being away so often. She's graduating from the college?" A stupid question, really. The only thing left in Winterhold was the college.
Dmitri Yashklov (played by EonRising)

(He's not 23 in this x3 guess that should have been pointed out. He adopted Tressa when she was 12 and he was around 25, so he's probably 30 or 31 now :P)

The khajiit nodded, "Yes. I'm very proud of her. She's come a long way from a flame spell and a healing spell," he said proudly, "I taught her as much as I could, but I sent her off to the college once there wasn't anything left for me to teach," he said, "She didn't seem too interested in conjuration, which is the only variety that I'm working towards mastering."
