This prompt uses my characters' Fantasy profile version, obviously lol. Y/C will join either Silas or Ennia as they fight to clear their name, expose the King's corruption and restore order to the Kingdom of Mountainview's ruling class. Y/C can be a fellow Knight, traveller, son/daughter of the village elder who first took SIlas/Ennia in or we can talk about it. Below is an overall prompt and below that is a background post. I'm looking for someone who can write a paragraph, minimum. I'm alright with MxF, FxF or MxM. Let me know if you're interested!
Just before the King died, he requested that his most-trusted Knight, (Silas/Ennia), take over in his place to rule over the Kingdom and begin dissolving the corrupt power structure that had taken hold over the years. The Lionheart was reluctant, instead just wanting to return home, and the King gave them time to think it over. However, their conversation was overheard by the King's corrupt son and in retaliation, he convinced the other Lionheart that their sibling was planning to assassinate the King and take his place. The Prince then killed his father by smothering him before he could make an official proclamation and then his first order as King was that he ordered the formerly-glorified (Silas/Ennia) to be taken out and executed. (Silas/Ennia) manages to evade execution and kill their captors, who were once former comrades, and disappeared into the forest. During the night, (Silas/Ennia) is visited in their dream and is told to locate the Ancient Soothsayer, who can prove (his/her) innocence. Joined by Y/C, (Silas/Ennia) is now travelling the kingdom searching through the various towns and villages for information, slaying monsters for coin, evading capture by a force that once revered (him/her) and trying to convince their sibling that they didn't kill the King.
Here's an old prompt that I wrote years ago for a different character that basically serves as a flashback to give a bit more depth

Flashback Prompt
A well-armored knight made their way up to a large royal tent and made their way up to the two guards standing in front of the entrance.
"(Silas/Ennia). The King has been waiting for you. Go right on in." the guard said as he moved out of the way.
"Thank you, Frederick." (Silas/Ennia) thanked with a nod as (he/she) headed into the royal tent.
(Silas/Ennia) looked around the large, lavish tent for the king, who was in the back at the table writing or journaling. (Silas/Ennia) stood at attention and then cleared (his/her) throat to get his attention. The King did not look up from what he was doing.
"My good (boy/girl), you live up to your name. You truly have the 'Heart of a Lion', like your grandfather whom I bestowed the name. I do still miss him greatly. He was a man of courage, integrity and honour and I am a fortunate king to have his lineage on my side." he said without skipping a beat.
"Thank you, Your Majesty." (Silas/Ennia) said as (he/she) bowed (his/her) head.
"Tell me again, (Silas/Ennia), why we are here?"
(Silas/Ennia) raised an eyebrow at that as (he/she) looked side to side before facing the king again.
"For the glory of the Kingdom, Your Majesty." (he/she) said, sure of (his/her) answer.
"Ah, yes. Ah yes, I remember." the King nodded.
(Silas/Ennia) watched carefully as the king set his quill down and leaned back into his chair and pointed at the map hanging.
"Do you see that map, (Silas/Ennia)?" he said.
(Silas/Ennia) turned (his/her) attention to the map and nodded (his/her) head.
"That is the world which I've created. For 40 years, for more years than you've been alive, I've conquered, spilt blood, expanded the kingdom. Since I became King, I have known 10 years without war. Ten years of peace! Out of 40!"
(Silas/Ennia) turned to look at him again as he paused after his statement, rising slowly from his chair, looking like he was questioning his entire reign. (Silas'/Ennia's) hands dropped to (his/her) sides from behind (his/her) back, as if getting ready to catch the aged man as he walked up to (him/her).
"And for what? I brought the sword, nothing more." he finally said, sounding somewhat defeated and lost.
"Your Majesty, your life..." (Silas/Ennia) started before the King raised his hand to silence (him/her).
"Please. Please don't call me that." the King cut (him/her) off as he shook his head.
(Silas/Ennia) closed (his/her) mouth as (he/she) watched the King slowly move towards his bed, motioning (Silas/Ennia) to follow him.
"Come, please. Come here and sit with me."
(Silas/Ennia) followed after the King as he walked over and sat upright at the edge of his bed. (Silas/Ennia) sat on the stool that was adjacent to the bed and watched the old man.
"Let us talk now, together now. Very simply, as equals." the King said.
(Silas/Ennia) nodded (his/her) head at that.
"Well, (Silas/Ennia), talk." he encouraged.
(Silas/Ennia) sucked in a breath.
"5,000 men are out there in the mud. 3,000 are cleaved and bloodied and 2,000 will never leave this place. I will not believe they fought and died for nothing." (Silas/Ennia) said, as if delivering a field report.
"And what would you believe?" the King asked.
"They fought for YOU, they fought for the Kingdom, for Mountainview."
"And what is Mountainview, (Silas/Ennia)?"
(Silas/Ennia) stared at the King, mouth slightly open, not believing what (he/she) was hearing from him. (He/She) let out a chuckle and shook (his/her) head as (he/she) leaned in a little towards the King.
"I have seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal, it is cruel and it is dark. Mountainview is the light." (Silas/Ennia) said, (his/her) voice low and serious.
"And yet you have not been there since you were a babe suckling on your mother's breast. You have not seen what it has become." the King responded as-a-matter-of-factly.
(Silas/Ennia) clicked (his/her) tongue and turned away.
"I am dying, (Silas/Ennia)! When a man sees his end he wants to know that there has been some purpose to his life!" the King exclaimed.
(Silas/Ennia) turned to face him, eyes narrowing slightly.
"There HAS been purpose to your life! You will be remembered for eternity!" (Silas/Ennia) returned.
"And how will the world speak my name in years to come, (Silas/Ennia)? Hmm? Will I be known as the philosopher, the warrior, the tyrant? Or will I be remembered as the King who gave the Kingdom back her true self?"
(Silas/Ennia) was speechless. (His/Her) mouth was open to say something but nothing came out.
"There was once a dream that was Mountainview. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish." the King said, bringing his voice back down, "It was so fragile, and I fear that it will not survive the winter."
(Silas/Ennia) watched him for a moment before slowly dropping (his/her) head and nodding, understanding what he meant. The King reached out and touched (Silas'/Ennia's) shoulder, making (him/her) look back at the King.
"(Silas/Ennia), let us whisper now. Together, you and I. Tell me about your home."
(Silas/Ennia) searched for the words to describe it. (He/She) tended to not like to think about home unless (he/she) was going back but...well, he asked so (he/she) would answer.
"My house is in the hills above Southwood on the outskirts of the Kingdom. Very simple place, stones as pink as (my/my brother's) hair that warm in the sun. Kitchen garden that smells of herbs in the day, jasmine in the evening. Through the gate is a giant poplar. Figs, apples, pears." (Silas/Ennia) said, (his/her) voice starting to pick up at the memory, "The soil, black! Black like my father's hair. Grapes on the south slopes, olives on the north. Wild ponies play near the house, they tease my niece. She wants to be one of them."
The King smiled at the description.
"It sounds like a wonderful place. Like a dream, a place I would go to get away from the capital."
"It is." (Silas/Ennia) said rather excitedly as (he/she) was consumed by thoughts of home.
"Yes, yes..." the King nodded.
A moment of silence befell the two as (Silas/Ennia) brought (himself/herself) back down to reality from (his/her) momentary high.
"(Silas/Ennia), when was the last time you were home to hug your mother and pay respects to your father?" the King asked (him/her) finally.
"2 years, 264 days and this morning." (Silas/Ennia) responded instantly.
"I do envy you, (Silas/Ennia). It is a good home. Worth fighting for?"
"To the death." (Silas/Ennia) nodded without skipping a beat.
"And have you thought of getting a (wife/husband), having children and settling down?" the King asked, "Do you know what the (softness of a woman/warmth of a man) even feels like?"
"I was thinking about doing just that at the end of this campaign." (Silas/Ennia) said.
"I see."
The King inhaled and exhaled. He wasn't sure if (he/she) was lying or not, but regardless, he had a much greater responsibility to ask.
"There is one more duty that I ask of you before you go home." the King says as he stands up.
As he stands, (Silas/Ennia) also quickly stands to attention.
"What will you have me do, Your Majesty?"
"I want you to become the protector of Mountainview after I die. I will empower you, and you alone, to give power back to the people of Mountainview and end the corruption that has crippled it."
As soon as he said that, (Silas'/Ennia's) heart dropped into the pit of (his/her) stomach and (his/her) face dropped accordingly as well. And (he/she) was speechless.
"Will you accept this great honour that I have offered you, illustrious and valiant (Sir Silas/Lady Ennia) Lionheart?"
(Silas/Ennia) shook (his/her) head at that.
"With all of my heart, Your Majesty, no!" (Silas/Ennia) said, (his/her) voice sounding completely devastated and as if (he/she) was holding back crying.
The King stepped up to (Silas/Ennia) and gingerly took (his/her) head with both hands, making (Silas/Ennia) look at him, able to see that (Silas/Ennia) was ready to cry not tears of joy but of sorrow.
"(Silas/Ennia), that is why it MUST be you." he said.
"But...but surely a nobleman, a general, a clergyman, somebody who knows the city. Who understands her politics..." (Silas/Ennia) tried to defend.
"Ah, but you have not been CORRUPTED by her politics."
"And your son, the Prince?"
The King sighed and let his hands drop from (Silas'/Ennia's) face, shaking his head.
"My son is not a moral man, you have known that since you were young. He cannot rule. He MUST not rule. You are the child that I should have had. He will accept my decision. He knows that you, above all others including your sibling, command the loyalty of the men."
"And (Ennia/Silas)? Can you not pass this onto (her/him)?"
"If you were not here, then I would. But, I need (her/him) exactly where (she/he) is right now. No, this is a responsibility that you, specifically, must take."
(Silas/Ennia) sucked in a breath and then let it out slowly.
"I need some time, Your Majesty." (Silas/Ennia) said as (he/she) turned (his/her) head away, biting (his/her) lower lip.
"Yes, I understand. By sunset, I hope, you will have agreed."
(Silas/Ennia) slowly nodded (his/her) head. The King held his arms out as a soft smile crept his face.
"Now embrace me as my (son/daughter) and bring an old man another blanket."
(Silas/Ennia) nodded and went to retrieve a blanket from the nearby tent. (He/She) did not even notice the Prince, who was on the side of the tent listening in on the conversation. Tears streamed down his face as he grit his teeth in rage and he stormed off towards his private tent. There was no way he was going to let a Lionheart take his place. He always knew his father favored the Lionheart twins but he never thought that his father would go so far as to give them the keys to the kingdom. But he was going to fix this, one way or another. But first, he had to tend to some business.
"Summon (Ennia/Silas). I need to speak with (her/him) immediately." the Prince ordered the soldier he brisky walked past.
The soldier saluted the Prince and then left to locate (Ennia/Silas) as the Prince stormed off to his private tent as tears of rage poured down his cheeks.
"You've made a big mistake, father..." the Prince growled under his breath.
"(Silas/Ennia). The King has been waiting for you. Go right on in." the guard said as he moved out of the way.
"Thank you, Frederick." (Silas/Ennia) thanked with a nod as (he/she) headed into the royal tent.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Renaissance
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Romance is desired but not required, and will balance evenly with other plot.

Hello!
I’ve got interested on this premise about a runaway having their own family hunting them down. If my character Tasius seems to fit on what you are looking for, please PM! I’m not used to romantic role plays but I’m willing to give it a try.
