He squeezed both her hands, hugging her tightly before nodding, running through the hallway and down the stairs, slowly leading her into the dark and cold basement, a rush of cold air meeting the two as they enter.

She shivered as they enter the basement she looked at him "Why are we here?"

Aphiel mentioned to me earlier that he had a project planned...he needed my fountain of essence...a mystical feature we found when we discovered the mountain this castle is built on..in fact the castle was built around it to defend the fountain from people...It allows magical healing and power to those in need...I fear the Knight though knows Aphiel is moving for it..and Aphiel may have just revealed its location.."

"Thats impossible the rosaries are for our protection so anything or anyone whos trying to locate you or him wont be able to do it they block all sign you guys give... still I fear he might try something stupid.."

Laus nodded and sighed softly as he spun the rosary beads around his own neck, "I just hope he hasnt planned to refuse these into some spell or something..he seems smarter than that...I mean IM starter than that...so he is too...right?"

"than you? I doubted but I hope he is love.. I really do.. but hes stubborn and thats not good"

He nodded and unlocked the door to the inner chamber, guards in completely black armor stood every few feet, large lances held at their sides as their faces were hidden by hoods, walking slowly by them as Laus pointed to the entrance of a large cave with sounds of rushing water starting to roar, "He should be there.."

The noise getting louder as they got closer "god I hope youre right love.."

He took her hand, standing at the cliff into the room with the fountain as he hugged her from behind, peering down as Aphiel was laying on a few rocks, shirt off and just in his pants.

She chuckled as she looked at him covering her eyes as the Marquess hugged her "What are you doing here Aphiel?"

Aphiel woke up, rolling suddenly and flailing as he fell into the pond, coming back up and treading water as he looked up to Rosa, "I am trying to absorb all the energy I can for the war... what do you need?"

She pointed to his rosary "well while you nap..." she said a bit upset at his response.

He looked back to her and lifted the rosary, "This..what about it?"

"It was glowing earlier...I thought you were in trouble" She rolled her eyes tossing him her mother's journal "Oh and this too"

Aphiel gripped the journal, watching her eyes before he flipped through the pages and read, his eyebrow raising before he looked up, "Whos is this? Who is wanting to sacrafice their daughter.."

She looked at him biting her tongue "The Knight and his wife... My parents.." she squeezed the Marquess hand as she spoke.

Apihel peered up at her, slowly walking up the steep stone stairs to the ledge with them as the Marquess hugged her waist, he watched her eyes and whispered, "Well we will stop them...I assure you."

She nodded looking at him "The thing is...its not only me they want... They need the rosaries too" she looked at them both "Theyre more powerful than you guys think... those things will protect you to unimaginable lengths..."

Laus and Aphiel stared at each other, than at their rosaries as they looked to Rosa, "What good would it do them? I thought they only protected certain people?"

She nodded "I thought they did only that too but... as I kept reading..they need them to kill me...and those rosaries are even more powerful now since theyre protecting two really powerful people.."
