" Would you stop doing that Zach!" Loki complained popping is brother in the back of the head. " Oww.. well i'm sorry i get bored stuck inside" Zach sighed rubbing his head " Not like we can just go outside in this storm" He said.. Loki sighed and shook his head " Your right there brother but please stop messing up the inns tables with your damn dagger" he said complaining that Zach always carved random stuff into the wooden tables. " Tomorrow can we please leave here?" Zach asked his brother " Yeah sure, i'm not feeling a god welcome here" he said.

Verdock was not the nicest place in all of Nocla or Valkana for that matter.. but the lands around in the mountains had some of the most breath taking views in all of Valkana. The worst just outside the city was thick and dark, anyone who was sane tried to stay as far from them as possible thinking them to be cursed or haunted.

Zach and Loki where not from this place, the twins where just passing threw. Though it was quite odvoiud the two where twins the fact they had different colored eyes then the other. Loki haveing blue, Zach having purple. but other than that the two looked and acted pretty much the same. Zach was a bit shorter than Loki.";

The bell of the door rang as Mordom stepped through the INN door dripping wet from the rain. The INN keeper looked uneasy as he approached the front desk due to his dark shady apparel. You couldn't even see his face through his hood. "Can I help you sir?" The INN keeper said softly.
"What do you cost for a room here?" he questioned in a deep mysterious voice
"40 pins sir," he responded.
"That will do" Mordom pulled 40 pins from his pouch and placed it on the table. As the Inn keeper mumbled nonsense, fumbling to put the pins in his register, Mordom took a look around the room to see that he had risen attention toward himself, which wasn't unusual. Everywhere he went, he put fear in people giving the impression he was not to be messed with. "This way sir!" The Inn keeper came around from the desk and led him up the staircase to show him his room.

The two brothers where in the room next to his.. now Loki was really upset with Zach " ZACH WOULD YOU STOP THAT!" he said takeing the dagger from his brother " i swear you can be a pain sometimes" he said shaking his head " what are these things you keep carving anyway" Loki asked " I don't know, i have seen them before but i dont know what they are" he said

Mordem came back down the stairs, his things unloaded in his room, still wearing his heavy coat and hood. He sat at the table alone in the far end of the room waving for the bartender to come to his assist. "What can I get you mister?" he said hesitantly. "Do you have anything to smoke?" "We carry the finest weeds of Verdock right here at the INN." "That will do." he responded as he sat back in his seat pulling out his pipe. The whole INN muttered and stared from across the room but Mordem payed no attention except for the noisy bickering twins across the room. He began to watch them closer... They didn't seem from around Verdock. Travelers? Surely not... the way they bickered made them seem like children. THough their clothes were especially unusual and were certainly not from Verdock. "How strange" he thought, now smoking on his pipe. "Strange travelers..."

" Well you really need to stop.. don't want to get into more trouble now do we"Loki said handing his brother the dagger back " Fine i'll stop" he said in an annoyed tone " i'l get us a drink" Loki said getting up and walked over to the bar " excuse me can I get two bottles of Honeyjewl wine?" he asked the bar tender. it was one of the only wines that was made with out alcohol witch both him and his brother here allergic to.

Modem watched as the one twin walked away from table over to the bartender. The moment he had walked away, Zach had picked the dagger back up and begin to scratch on the table once again. "That dagger!" Mordem recognized, "That dagger is from Saroek... they're from Saroek?" Now this was of his interest. What were two twins doing traveling from Saroek and through the city of Verdock? He set down his pipe and stood up and begin to approach the lone twin scratching at the table. Without a word, he took the dagger from his hands and begin to examine it. "Interesting Dagger here..."

" Yeah my father gave that to me before he died" Zach said looking at him..Loki return " and ever since he wont stop scratching stuff in wooden tables.." He said giving Zach one of the bottles of wine.

"A typical blade... but the handle is something straight from Saroek," Mordem remarked. "Tell me... you two lads have traveled quite a distance to be coming through Verdock." He turned the blade round and round in his hands examining all sides closely. "What business do you have?"

" where just two brothers with no place to go" Loki said " plus my brother here got us drove off with his odd obsession with these symbles.. people starting thinking he was posesed or something"

Zach just sighed

"Symbols?" He said confused as he placed the dagger back on the table suddenly noticing the strange symbols scratched into the table. All interest in their far travel was lost as he stared at the markings in shock. "These markings!" He said in disbelief. He slowly ran his fingers over them familiarly. "Where... where did you get these from? Where have you seen them before?"

Zach blinked " i.. im my dreams" he said

"here we go again" Loki sighed

" you have them to Loki don't complane!" Zach said " but i find myself in a dark place with stones al around me.. and each one has one of these symbles on it" he said

Grabbing Zach by his collar, Mordem yanked him from his seat leading him away from the table. "I-Is something wrong sir?" the Inn Keeper called nervously from his desk trying to prevent the scene occurring. "Business you'd best keep out of." he said as he shoved the struggling man away from public eye and up the staircase to the floor where he stayed. Loki followed behind in confusion. Closing the door to his room, he turned to face the two travelers.

"hey whoa what ever I did please dont hurt me!" Zach said

" whatthe hell is your problum draging him off like that?!" Loki asked

"Do you understand what those symbols mean?" he said as he removed his hood reveling his face. He swiftly moved through the room closing the curtains of the windows and dimming the lights of the room.

" i have no idea" Zach said shaking his head " but the more i dream of them the more i want to know about them" he said
