It has become fashionable for women of high status, such as millionaire/billionaire heiresses, royalty, and even some classes of superheroine, to set up their own kidnappings so they can be rescued by a worthy and heroic man. They would set up tests and obstacles that would weed out the weak and pathetic leaving only the best of the best! It's a sound concept, one that has paired up many "power couples" in the past, but when your character tries it... the result is not at all what she expected.
Someone strange starts overcoming obstacle after obstacle, but from your observations, you know he is nothing like the gallant knight in shining armor you'd been dreaming of. In fact... he's an actual cartoon character! With a body that can't be harmed be any conventional means and the ability to bend reality in limited ways whenever the going gets too tough, it seems as though there's no stopping him!
Will you embrace this toon as your new lover, honoring the implicit promise of this elaborate courtship ritual, or will you move heaven and earth to make sure he fails? After all, everyone has a weakness, even cartoons. It's just a matter of find out what that is.
So long as she's female, your character can belong to any race whatever without limit!
Any male toon on this profile (except Monkey-Doo) is available for this setup, and most time periods works as well as long as they make room for cartoonish antics. Each character has a legitimate and unique weakness, and one possible avenue for this is to figure out what that weakness is.
Here are the fellas!
Dairy Berry Jones: He is superhuman in strength, resolute in courage, and honorable in in his laid-back demeanor. If he does suffer exhaustion or injury, he can chug a bottle of milk to bring him back to full, and if he anchors his feet just right, he becomes an umoveable object. If you want a real challenge, its this guy! His weaknesses will probably be the trickiest to figure out and exploit.
Chipper Squirrel: This funny animal (animal character that talks/acts just like a human being) loves nuts and will do anything to get his hands on some. This one is the cleverest and most resourceful of the male toons, and this normally makes up for any obvious weaknesses he possesses. In spite of this, though, he's not as good as Dairy Berry at brute forcing his way to his solutions. A battle against him will be a battle of wits, requiring your character to really think outside the box.
Hank Horn: Unlike the other two, Hank wears his greatest weakness on his sleeve. He is a very timid young man, and overcoming that fear is actually very difficult for him. On the other hand, he has two versatile abilities: first, as an anthropomorphic airhorn, he can produce a loud blast of noise from his mouth and/or spout, either voluntarily by pressing the button on his head, or involuntarily by pure panic. His other ability is to summon words by singing. He can then use these words as platforms and tripping hazards to overcome obstacles.
Pushin Shove: (scroll down a bit) The living pinnacle of "pushy," his massive hands and tremendous bulk can move just about anything he wants out of his path, making him the perfect bully. This guy is not recommended for anyone looking for a proper hero or a simple challenge. He is very difficult to overcome and will make none but the most morally bankrupt or oppressively self-loathing women happy (if you can even call it that). I include him at all because he is technically a valid choice for this setup in that he is male, sapient, and able to communicate with words.
None of these characters is going to be "easy" to "defeat," and you are not required to defeat them if you don't want to. This can end with a nice warm happy ending if desired. Also, yes, all toons have a weakness to paint thinners, but this should only be used if your character is out to actually kill them.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Modern
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Romance is required, but may take some time to develop. For example: slow burn RPs.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, Will be played one-on-one.
This seems interesting! May I?
