It was a pitiful sight really, and the snickering only made it worse. Tail between her legs and ears flat against her head, the small zorua padded silently along the dirt path.
The younger Pokemon in the town were snickering and giggling as she went by; news had spread that she was going to try and join the rescuers guild nearby and it wasn't exactly a hidden fact that Sasha was a timid creature. One could not deny that sometimes she can be bold, but each little snicker made her ears and heart droop even more.
Finally she couldn't take it and she bolted, tears in her eyes, to the forest that you had to go through to get to the guild. As soon as she was out of the town limits, she began full on sobbing, enough that she couldn't see the large, tan lump in the ground and she tripped, tumbling head over heels.
She looked at the bulge and could make out the shape of a sandshrew laying on the ground. She was still cryin but still, she gently nudged his cheek.
"H-hey, a-are you okay?" she whispered.

Logan groaned. He had no idea why he tasted dirt, but that didn't bother him too much for some reason. He heard someone, or something, run up to him and fly over him before walking up and poking his cheek.

"H-hey, a-are you okay?" Said a girls voice.

Logan opened his eyes slowly. He saw black hair... Blue eyes... A muzzle? Logan snapped awake. "What the heck?!" He said, looking around. "Who said that?" Obviously the Zorua didn't say it, although, he felt something very distinctively wrong about it, no, the entire area around him.

At the sandshrew's sudden outburst, Sasha crouched down in fear that he might attack her and covered her head with her front paws, "P-please don't hurt me!" she pleaded, shivering in her spot. Her pale, green eyes were shut tight and she was obviously scared.

Logan frowned at the terrified Zoroa. "H-Hey, calm-" He reached out his arm and paused, staring at his arm. What was one supposed to do when your arm turns scaly and sand colored? Logan, who couldn't think of an answer to this question, sat down, staring at his arm in complete confusion. "What?" He said. "This is NOT my arm." He said, looking down at his body. "This is not my body..." He placed his new hand on his face. "This is not my face." He sat there in silence for a few seconds, then decided the best way to wake up from the bizarre dream was to scream at the top of his lungs.

And so, he did. Looking straight up, he closed his eyes and started screaming.

His scream just terrified Sasha even more and she curled into a tight ball on the ground, her paws over her ears and tears rolling down her cheeks.
"P-please stop!" she begged him, though her voice was quiet and scared, probably not even audible over the screams of Logan.

Logan sighed. That made him feel a lot better. He was still... whatever he was, but now he had that out of his system. He looked around, spotting the terrified lump of fur on the ground, shaking in fear. Logan stood up and walked up, somewhat cautiously, to show respect, to her. "H-Hey." You'd think becoming a pokemon would make him maybe just a tad more sociable... "I'm sorry for scaring you." He said, bowing his head slightly to show his sincerity. He just now noticed her tears. "Are you crying?" He said, sitting down next to her.

She looked timidly up at him, her big, innocent eyes glossed over and tears were still streaming down her cheeks in silent waves. She nervously sat up, her legs shivering and she kept her head hung low and her ears drooped.
"Y-yes..." she answered timidly, "A-are you gonna hurt me?" she asked and risked a glance towards him. She wasn't weak, not really any ways, but she hated fighting and often wouldn't unless it was in an extreme case, even if she was the one being attacked. She jus assumed that she deserved it and let it happen. Most of the Pokemon in town, even though they made fun of her for beingso scared, we're otherwise friendly.

Logan frowned. "Why would I hurt you? Are you going to hurt me? Did you do something that deserves it?" He looked at her, worry in his eyes. "Cheer up, I won't let anything hurt you, okay?" He probably shouldn't say that, but if it calms her down, maybe he can figure out where he was and what happened to him. Although, a girl, albeit, a pokemon, was crying, and his mom always said to stop girls from crying, so that was top priority. Funny time to be thinking of mom...

She looks up at him and sniffed a little, "D-do I really look like I could hurt you?" she asked quietly and wiped her eyes then looked a little startled by his statement. "You... You won't?" that was a strange thing to promise since they just met and she told him so, "But... You don't know me."

Logan sat thinking for a moment. "Well, you seem... Upset, and I made it worse, so I want to help you to make up for it. Was that you who tripped over me?" He said. "And, uh... Where are we, exactly?" He would probably freak her out if he asked to many questions, so it was best if he just kept things simple for now. He doubted she'd actually believe him being a human, anyway.

She nodded, "Yeah... Sorry about that... I couldn't really see," she said quietly and then wiped her eyes, "You're near Terator Town... This is the road that leads to the rescuers guild."

Logan looked down the road, where the Rescuers Guild was, apparently. It was a dirt road with lots of trees on either side. "Ah okay... So, uh, what exactly is a Rescuers Guild?" He was probably going to get one hell of a look, by the way she said it. He was happy with one thing, though. She stopped crying.

Rescuers guilds were relatively new, so since he didn't know where he even was, it didn't bother her that he didn't know what those guilds were.
"It's a place for Pokemon who want to help others... There's been a lot of places calle mystery dungeons lately and most Pokemon who go into them get really angry until they're knocked out."

"Err, okay." He didn't really know what she was talking about. "So, uh, I'm kinda... Lost I guess, I don't know where to go. So... Could I just tag along with you until I figure something out?" He decided that sticking with her would be best, considering that she was the only person he could really trust right now.

She blushed a little, "Y-you want to travel with me?" she asked shyly, "W-well I'm going to the guild... W-would you want to be my team mate?"

Team mate? Well, that shouldn't be that bad, although the whole 'people' bit in 'helping people' wasn't that appealing. He just didn't like interacting with others much. Never really has. Though... It would give him something to do. It's not like he had a plan, or anything. "Yeah, I will." He smiled and stood up, holding his hands out to help her up.

The little fox wagged her tail and stood (Having four legs, she didn't really need help).
"My name is Sasha," she introduced herself. Her voice and expression had brightened up but her cheeks were still wet from her tears.

Logan smiled. "My name is Logan. Well, er, you wanna lead the way?" He said. He wasn't sure what to expect at all, and she seemed to be confident enough with the area to run through it crying.

She nodded and turned, "Come on then," she started walking down the path at a steady pace, "So, where are you from, Logan?" she asked.

Logan followed. "Well, I... Come from a place far from here. It's a lot different." He said. He wasn't sure how he was going to explain the United States to her without giving away that he's actually a human. He frowned. How did he change anyway? He stayed silent for a few, thinking.
