Is that why a Mer’ah elder praised me and wanted to meet me?” She asked Gon. Gon words helped clear a few things. She now knew why a portal offense scared the Cobra so much. “ that why the Cobra beside him wanted to end me?”

"Exactly!" Gon said. "Portals are the cornerstone of logistics and transportation for Crobas. And all Portals are built and maintained by Me'rah so in other words Crobas are deeply dependent on Portals. But that's not all. The destruction of a Portal can be far greater than inability to travel or transport goods."

An aerial image of mountain range came to Azshara's eyes. In a middle of the mountain range was huge crater diameter of 20 kilometers at least.

"What you are seeing is what's used to be of ancient Portal town in one of the Croba worlds. This was Grade 3 portal, second smallest type, which exploded several millennia ago at the collapse of Great Nescre Empire."

The picture changed. This time Azshara was watching a large valley leading to vast ocean with similar crater which now was filled with seawater however this time the ground was devoid of any trees. Some small plants had found their way back to the corners of now submerged crater where small river ran from the valley. The terrain was in its own way beautiful but also very rough.

"What's left of our home where you were born" Came Gon's voice in Azshara's mind. "We are leaving now. Don't be startled that you cannot hear me or the network. Me'rah links don't work during the Jumps. You will regain your senses when we arrive" The last words were very soothing.

All of a sudden the ship yanked heavily under tremendous acceleration. But as soon as the crushing force of acceleration was about to hurt Azshara she felt like she became light as feather floating inside her protective bubble. Then she realized that her freshly awakened ability to hear the network as well as her brother didn't work. In spirit level she felt like deafened and so alone but there was more, she realized also that she wasn't able to hear anything either.

She hated this feeling and made her a little sick. “ I hate this... When when will we arrive?” She felt even more sickened by the destruction and rubbed where her healed burned scars where and the memory of the pain came back.. she whispered “ I want this to be over and get on land.” She said. Her face a bit pale and eyes wide and she was shaking.

She didn't know how long the jump took. in one hand it felt like eternity but same time her rational self judged that not much time had yet passed.

Suddenly the bright white flash engulfed the entire ship with loud bang. Well at least it felt like one even though she wasn't quite sure did she actually had heard anything or was it just the shock of sudden flash and deceleration.

Whatever the case they had arrived to New solar system and all her senses had returned, network and bond to her brother included.

However, the network felt different.
It wasn't as lively as before on the surface.

She felt like only fraction of the people were there what used to be.

" Brother.. Is it over? how long until we land?" she asked. " I feel sick.. and dizzy." She noticed how quiet the channel got and was kind of disturbed about it. " I'm sick of ships." She admitted and looked for any connection to her Cobra friend and anybody else. She felt like a outcast here... As she knew nobody here and at least at home she had the village and the town and even Me'rah elder on her side. Her she felt alone and scared.

"Yes, it's over." Gons voice reached her again. "The network is the same, we just are currently in different location so the sounds you hear best are different too. Just reach deeper and you can hear Idra part again." He said sensing the uncomfortable feeling of his sister.

The ship shook a little what Azshara figured to be undocking from the jump ship. Then they rotated and from the window she was able to see a planet.

aside it's polar caps it was iron red desert world (same color with mars). on the north polar area there seemed to me vast mountainous region and tiny bits of ice. on equatorial zone a strange looking white band ran across the planet and on the south there seemed to be the only ocean. everything between the ocean and mountains were red desert.

As they flew closer with the planet rotating also she realised that the ocean was not entirely natural. It was a massive crater located directly at the planets south Pole reaching 3'000'000 kilometers in diameter (size of North america) and was now filled with water.

"Locals call that as south sea, but for us Me'rah it have another name: Atalos Sea." Gon said
"This is the place where lied ancient capital of Nescre, and this is the place where Year of Storms began."

Azshara knew from history lessons that Year of Storms is one name called of the great destruction happen on year 0. Event mainly forgotten but still the foundation for all of the civilizations existing nowadays.

It took a few minutes. But after a drink and everything slowed down. She started feeling better. “ That was mot fun.” She admitted. She looked around and she sighed, she really felt like a outcast now. She wished she could swim. She focused on gon voice and relaxed. “ does our family live here?” She asked as she saw the strange world. She then started humming a tune tried to accept everything her world she knew had been turned upside down.

"Yes, our family with exception of Lais lives here" Gon nodded and spiritually pointed a planet at the southern edge of the north mountain range.
"See the river over there? Follow it south until you see the great city."

It didn't take long for Azshara to spot a large round city where the river ran but seen to disappear then totally.

"That's our home. City of Threm. Quite ironic and sad same time that Me'rah like us are living so far away from the sea. But that's where our other perk comes in. Like me you also are more than just Me'rah. We are Merokans."

She found the comment about Merokans to sound like calling hybrids monsters. “ so we going to go there soon?” She asked. The city was nothing like what she knew. This was all knew to her

"Some fundamental Me'rah have had hard time to accept that hybrid like I could ever be equal in Me'rah society. They see that im impure, my blood is tainted because our family line is mix of me'rah and merokan and therefore my potential is weakened."

Said that blood may give talent but each person eventually by their own work shows if they are worth their blood or not the other way around. Besides according to him every hybrid have a chance to improve the blood instead of decrease it. He was also very excited to hear that you've been found and are my twin sister.

“ why cause your rare? Im not special.. I just learned of my heritage.. I always wanted to be accepted by the Me’rah. I wanted to make a difference. But scared of by coming her.. I’m going to be looked down at and in my family shadow.” She admitted. She curiously wondered what the elder was like and why people where eager to meet her. In her old village sure twins where rare.. but other then that also could put one in debt.

People and Me'rah for sure have some sort of expectations about you but let's say it also. Your father have done good job to keep our family secret from masses.... well Me'rah elders excluded.

In Idra we are wanted people, terrorists, just because we are Merokans that Scraba family wants to destroy to last man. Therefore all of us have alternative identities. In public we are the owners of wealthy Gorestian corporation who's main business areas are education, construction and entertainment. Here in Biitran and actually in Threm where we are going Dad have built under that Gorestian identity a hotel, casino and university. The best university in planet and best tech university where anyone can enroll in known space."

Azshara was able to hear proudness in her brothers words when he spoke about the university.

“ really? But wont the exam tell everybody our secret? If I do the exam.... will the Me’rah accept me?” She was more thrilled that her family had access to the entertainment profession. It was her dream to be a performer. She had the chance to meet Me’rah and be accepted by them and she loved Gon and was learning more about herself and making friends. So on her end it was a win. She looked out the window curiously as she listened to her brother.

At the southern edge of this wealthy district was large green park and in the middle of the park rise luxurious building complex. The main building looked like a white - Golden tree bathing under a sun made of pure gold. The branches circling the main tree were used for landing pads and hangars for space crafts. Then Azhara noticed several smaller buildings having some high tech antennas deployed and circling them dozen of large cannons and missile batteries, some pointing at them.

"Don't worry, they don't shoot us but will shoot anyone getting to close to us."

She was in shock. "That a amazing! I want to go see it. I never seen such thing in my life!" She was drawn to it like a child to candy. She then looked at herself. " Her and her common Indra made clothes that where a bit to big. She realized she stand really bad and made fun of if she went there. She just could not stop looking at it. That place was almost heaven. only if she could go swimming she be in paradise there. She looked at her to big of dress that reached her knees and was not very good fit and was patch work. She truly felt strange and yet she felt draw to such a shiny and grand place. A sense of pride started to grow as she realized it was her fathers.

"Thats where we are heading. however we cannot land there with this ship because qp would have lots to explain. also this ship is too large for shuttle hangars. Instead we go for nearby space port and use normal car." Gon explained.
"By the way would there be something you wish to get from the mall on our way there."

" Maybe proper clothes?" She requested. " these don't really fit well." She admitted. It was a bit big in case she grew a little more. " It so big... So is our family there? It is so fancy.." She said and looked eager to explore and was in awe. She got up and went closer to the window and smiled. This was the first time she really traveled and that she was going to learn more about herself and her real family. " It almost like a dream... Where do you live brother?" She asked as she looked toward Gon. Her eyes said everything about how she was feeling.

"To be precise except Lais our home is the underground City of Meroka. But even she stays there alot." Gon said
"In any circumstance never ever speak this information even in network. The location or access to Meroka is for only its citizen and trusted allies. If Idra would learn the location and manages to drill into there the fall of the city and death of all us and Lilidran people would be inevitable.

The ship had finished its approach to the spaceport by now.
Azshara noticed that this place wasn't commercial one but a military port.
"We are landing to Fort Redwall. The largest base and headquarter of QP operations here in Biitran." SQUID said on his seat.
"It was a good plan to come here. This is least monitored landing site and we can get you all easily out from the ship without Idra noticing anything who or what we've been transporting."

"Here in Threm there are 3 large military bases: Redwall on the west, gotten its name of that big concrete wall dividing the yellow and red zone. Then there is Li Bunkers on the north and finally Brochena, the largest of the bases and same time acting as the command center of entire sector for Idra.

Threm is divided to 3 zones. The innermost is called Blue zone. Those high rise buildings including Golden Sun are located there. It's the land of the wealty, Next is yellow zone where we landed. Here buildings are mostly smaller ones with exception those colossal residential towers. People living here are usually middle class citizen. Then is the red zone. It's the largest of the zones and majority of industry is located there. The people living in red zone are those from the bottom of society like Lilidrans and criminals. There are areas in Red zone which are practically no go zones owned by several of Bladron Gangs. For decades Government have fought against the gangs but almost nothing have been done.

“ I thought Idra does not have power here like they do in my home...” she said sadly. Clearly her thoughts on idra was she hated them. She sighed and grumbled and looked out the window. She listened to them as they explained things. Her stress level started to rise and she clinched her hands into fist. She went from living a easy simple life to outcast and being forced into living a life of stress and always being on edge with no peace of mind. Now all that happiness turned into stress and anxiety. She tried to relax and failed. “ what have I gotten myself into?” She said under her breath. She glanced at Gon and then Squid and back out the window. She closed her eyes and started humming a song to try to calm down and gather her thoughts. As she hummed she seemed relax a little.
