Avalon bit her lip in thought. She hate not being in control but in this situation she had to cooperate with another person. "Your idea sounds fine," she replied running a hand through her tangled hair. She thought of where the camp was and the best place to watch them was. Then a question popped into her mind. "What kind of weapons are you carrying?"

Ace looks down at his sword to holding it close to his body "All I carry is this sword with me, its been with me since before I could walk and it will stay with me long after I'm gone". The memories of having the sword with him brought a smile then a frown to Aces face after realizing why he needed Avas money to begin with, he looks to Luna patting her on the head "keep your ears open and your wings ready, I'll call when I need help"

Waling away from Luna she opens her wings picking herself up into the sky then soaring towards the cave. Smiling as he sees Luna fly off into the distance he turns around to see Ava on top of Dawn "So other then that dagger do you have any other weapon for our little journey here"

Avalon reached to Dusk's side and pulled out a small bag. Inside were several knives varying in size. "If you need it," she tossed a sheathed blade to him. She pulled 2 more out in intractely woven sheaths and strapped them onto her belt. She got off of Dusk's back and patted his snout letting him go.

"Follow me but make sure you don't do anything stupid ok?" She smirked and motioned for him to follow. She didn't look behind her as she walked straight into the dark forest

"Stupid?" Ace says as he begins to follow Ava into the forest as black as the night its self. As they walked through the forest it the silence was killing Ace worst then the pitch black darkness surrounding him "So if you don;t mind me asking why go into that camp by yourself like you did this earlier?" Ace says jumping over a log "I mean one women against an entire army of hunters, do you have any idea what would have happened if they caught you...Trust me you would have been wishing for death in the first two days"

"I didn't care about risking my life or anything worse," she said with finality. She frowned at the thought of letting the hunter's win and leaving the forest alone. Her hand twitched onto her hidden blade at every noise in the bushes. "It probably wasn't the smartest decision but I have no one else," she sighed. Her hand weaved through her hair again in her usual nervous fashion.

"If i it's too quiet for you then why don't you tell me how you found me," realizing she had never asked.

Ace listens to the sounds of the forest as they walk through it hearing every animal move and tree sway through the wind "Ummm...A friend of my received a tip that someone would try and steal from the hunters" Ace says trying to get his thoughts in order "She told me that you would need some help and it was a matter of life and death and you can't ignore that"

The thought of lying to Ava wasn't the best way to start off the partner ship but Ace needed to be careful, he didn't know how much he could honestly trust her. "So if you don't mind me asking can you actually pay?" Ace says walking beside Ava "I have plans for that money and I can't afford to be wasting time...especially in the dark hell hole of a place"

Avalon gave him a questioning look but didn't ask further. "Yea I have money and if that's not enough then help yourselves to the treasures stocked up by those thieves." She squinted her eyes to see through the thick trees ahead. "If you're scared the dark, you can always just hold my hand." She teased him. Her laughing echoed and bounced off the foliage around them. Her eyes scanned in front of them when she heard another noise in the bushes. "Probably small animals huh?" She said more to assure herself.

Ace turns to the bushes were the sound was coming from to see, he unsheathes his sword and aims it towards the bush "Its completely dark here the only animals that come out around this time are the ones that don't make noise" he whispers after dropping his bag. Keeping his sword pointed at the bush he signals with his hand to Ava telling her to take her weapons out as he got closer and closer until he sticks his sword into the bush with only a fox jumping out making him jump "Guess I was wrong" he says smiling towards Ava as she showed a face of exhaustion "What was that hand joke you ma-" Ace gets cut off when a hunter jumps out of the tree with his sword being blocked by Ace then his bell cut open immediately after he blocked.

"Knew I was right" Ace says as three more hunters come out of the bushes.

Avalon nodded and pulled out both weapons; one in each hand. She winced slightly at the soreness in her hurt arm but quickly shook it off. She could faintly make out the toothy grin of one of the hunters staring at her. Anger coursed through her causing her to slice through the air viciously at him. The blade missed and the hunter lunged at her with a sword. She ducked down an kicked his feet out from him. His eyes grew wide when Abalon stood over him with the cold knife pressed against his neck. "How many with you?"

He kept his mouth shut and earned himself a slice through his neck. She grunted at the feeling taking a life gave her.

"You got the other Ace?" She asked through the dark.

Ace could see out the corner of his eye as Ava took down one of the hunters as he sword fought with the other two going from one to the other, both as big and dum as the looked giving off the aroma of blood and sweat. Just before one of the hunters hits could land Ace rolls between the two slicing one of the hunters legs making him kneel for Ace to slice his throat. The other used his friends death to bring his sword down with all of his strength making Ace block it but not anything else.

"Some help...would be appreciated" Ace said struggling.

Avalon kicked the side of the man's stomach pushing him off of Ace's sword. She threw one blade hitting him directly in the chest and while he stared down at the blade sticking out of his chest, she slit his throat as well. "Done," she panted retrieving her knife. The sound of metal scraping against bone rang in her ears. She wiped the beads of sweat of her forehead and rested her hands on her knees. "No matter how much I might hate these guys, killing and the stench of blood makes me want to vomit." She stood up and looked towards him to see how he was holding up.

"Yea I know what you mean but I learned a long time ago that if it comes down between me and them I always pick me" he says while sitting on the ground trying to gain his composure "Thank you for helping me out back there I owe you one your a really good fighter I've never seen a woman do all that".

Ace stands up to see the men that they killed holding his nose at the stench of blood and sweat mixed into one "These guys have to be with the camp they must be the hunting party" he says looking over at Ava "You sure our OK, I saw you kill that guy and it really look like its taking its toll"

"Are you saying just because I'm a girl you didn't think I could fight?" She smirked even though her face was pale and she looked sick. She huffed again and sat next to him resting her head in her hands. "And no problem. You saved my butt so I saved yours."

Avalon shakily stood to her feet a minute later and shook her head. "I'll be fine don't worry. I'm tougher than you might think." Her head was still spinning from the stench but she waited for him. She rubbed her arm absentmindedly and tied her hair back up in a ponytail so it would quit whipping her in the face with every turn of her head.

Ace saw as the Ava was ready to depart again but he could barley stand let alone walk after fighting these guys on an empty stomach, looking down at them then around the forest "These guys have to be camped some where close by they wouldn't just be walking in the middle of the forest with just there weapons at the ready" he says before roaming through the bushes.
Finally he saw what he was looking for "There see" he Ace says to Ava as he points to a light not far from where they are "I know you want to get to their camp as fast as possible but we'll be no good if we get there and we're to tired to do anything" Ace says with a smile on his face hoping Ava would go for this.

She narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms. "Then be my guest and go first." She looked at the dim light and back at Ace. "If there's more hunters waiting for us over there then I blame you for dragging me," she grumbled. Avalon pulled out her daggers and wiped them on the grass below her. She kept one out and sheathed other one just for protection. The smile plastered on Ace's face made her smile slightly but it was gone as quick as it came.

Ace rolls his eyes and walks slowly to the dim light, as he got closer and closer he listened to see if he heard any voices coming from the campsite and when he heard none he jumps out to see nothing but a fire with pig cooking on top of it "Now that is just beauty" he said looking back at Ava "You can come out the coast is clear". Sitting down by the fire Ace could smell the same blood and sweat that was coming off of the men "This is definitely the right place"

As Ava came to the fire Ace looks up a her "Like they knew we would be coming" he says smiling then laughing "Know isn't this better then walking in the dark...have a seat come on"

She hesitantly made her way over and sat across from him. She grabbed a stick by her leg and prodded at the pig. "This is glorious," she smiled and poked the stick into it's side. Avalon licked her lips hungrily and sliced a piece of the meat. She quickly chomped down on the meat and devoured the whole slice in seconds. Her hand went out to cut more for herself. Avalon had always had a big appetite and the pig tasted delicious. "I'll try to save save you some," she teased through her chewing. After having a couple more slabs of meat, Avalon licked the flat side of her knife. She looked back up at Ace and whipped her mouth with her sleeve.

Ace watches as Ava takes piece after piece of the pig devouring every bit little by little bring a smile to his face then chuckling behind his breath "Most women wouldn't go at a pig like you did" he says taking a piece of the pig "But to tell you the truth that is a change of pace from the women I see, all they do is take a bite and its over"

Laying back with a piece of pig in his mouth Ace looks to Ava "How did you get like this?, I mean your obviously not a regular girl so how would a girl like you become a rider"

She dragged her hand down her face in exasperation. "Dusk is not my pet or friend like riders see it, he's my family." Avalon looked to him to see if he was following her explanation. "I didn't grow up in a family that taught manners. Dusk taught me to hunt and how to not fall off his back and my other 'siblings' if you see fit to call them that, raised me to be who I am now." She thought if there was anything else that didn't make sense to him when she added on. "And as for the roar, I'm not even sure how I can manage that but after living with Dusk and the others for so long it just came naturally." Avalon shrugged her shoulders and leaned back holding onto her crossed legs.

"Why do you do that to me, why do you put so much on pet" Ace says looking at Ava with a confused face "I don't think of Luna as a pet either...Believe it or not she found me and choose me to be her rider". Ace looks at Ava thinking if this partnership was to work then everything had to be out in he open.
"Luna found me and helped me deal with what was going on with my baby sister...well she isn't exactly my sister I found her on the road half dead from hunger and when I feed her she was able to see things, future things that's when I finally figured out she was a seer". Ace looks into the fire with a straight face changing the atmosphere around here completely "But there is a catch with her she sick and the more she uses her abilities the sicker she gets and the money you give me will help get the medicine she needs"
