She shook herself into reality and looked at him biting her lip in thought. Her blue eyes went back to the sky and then to meet Ace's. She leaned on the opposite leg and nodded. "If you are fine with it then I'll go with you." she answered with a smile. Inside she was about to jump for joy but on the outside she was calm and tried to mask her emotions.

As he turned to walk towards the town Avalon followed. Before they went into town she wanted to make herself at least somewhat presentable to fit in with the crowds. She brushed her hands through her hair and tied it up in a loose bun. She looked down the bridge of her nose and saw smudges of dirt on her nose and cheeks so she hurriedly rubbed them off attempting to clean off slightly.

Ace looks at Ava as she cleans herself up fixing her hair and dusting off her clothes, looking at her with confusion he chuckles under his breath "You may think that your good at hiding your excitement for heading into town but you really aren't that good at it" he said walking ahead ass she continued to fix herself up.

As they past the gates into town the feel of happiness and joy ran through them, the town was in its anniversary year 50 years today it was founded and it showed its glory. Walking Ace sees the doctors office "I'm going to go and head into the doctors office stay out here and celebrate have fun because you now you want to" he says leaving Ava and walking into the office. Once in the doctor calls him to the back and sits him down.
"Here you go all the gold you asked for, now give me the medicine Doc" Ace said dropping some of the gold onto the doctors table. The doctor turns around and grabs a green bottle out off a shelf "Here you are my boy" the doctor said "but as I've told you Ace this will only help her for a couple of days a week at the most but I know you, you are doing this to bide time for another way a way that I told you is suicide"

Ace grabs the bottle out of the doctors hands and begins to walk towards the door "It's the only way Doc and to tell you the truth I might have a better chance of getting it now somethings changed" he said before leaving the office.

Avalon waited for him to go in the doors before turning back to the busy streets. Vendors were shouting at customers from the sides of the streets. She walked past one of jewelry and kindly refused to try anything on. She soon spotted a small stall with clothes and the thing that stood out to her the most was a casual soft blue dress. "How much?" Avalon asked eyeing the dress. The woman at the stall looked at it and smiled at her hoping to have found a customer.

"3 gold pieces," she replied. Avalon looked at the dress and thought about it. She had never had a dress or much less worn one in her life. She took the money out of her pouch and slid it over to the lady. The woman then handed over the dress and quickly pocketed the gold. Avalon smiled and raised the dress in front of herself knowing it would be a perfect fit.

"Now for a new backpack and maybe even a sword," she said to herself as she continued walking. A few stalls away was a man selling random equipment where she bought a slightly more expensive leather backpack and stuffed the dress inside. Avalon stopped and looked back towards where Ace had left her and decided that it would be best if she went back to find him.

Ace walked out of the office with the medicine in his pouch and a annoyed look on hi face from the conversation with the doctor but once he saw Ava come into view that face went away as fast as it came "I see you enjoyed yourself while I was away" he said smiling looking at her bag "just couldn't way to spend that money well your a girl so that kinda makes sense". Nudging her Ace leads Ava to a church with kids playing all around it all of them as happy as the next, as they head into the church they meet up with a nun "Hello sister, How is Sophie feeling today?" Ace said hoping he was given answer he wanted.
"She is doing fine not enough to play outside but well enough to paint her room, she's waiting for you upstairs" she said looking at Ava then back at Ace. Ace nudged Ava again to follow as he went up the stairs then up another flight of stairs heading into the attic once he opened the door the colors would seem so dull brighten up an entire room pictures of every kind covered the walls of the room with one spot still be done by a little 10 year-old girl in the corner "You've been busy since I've been gone" Ace said before Sophie dropped her paint brush and ran to to him. Ace picked her up giving her a hug that only someone that lover her could then he put her down and faced her towards Ava "Sophie this is Avalon she is a good friend of my so be nice".

Sophie ran to her desk grabbing a pad and ink pen writing on it then bring it back to Ava saying "Nice to meet you Avalon"

Avalon tried to not looked surprised when she realized Sophie could not talk. "Nice to meet you too hun," she said patting the little girls head. She looked at the room around her and smiled. "Is there anywhere I can change?" she asked eager to try on the dress. When she was told where to go, she hurriedly put on the dress and looked down at herself. As she thought, the dress fit perfectly and hugged her body. Avalon smiled brightly and put her pants and shirt away but kept the knives tucked in her boots and strapped a sheathed dagger to her thigh.

"Can never be too careful," she said to herself. As soon as she was content with herself she walked back into the room. Avalon went in front of Ace and put a hand on her hip. "I kind of like this look. What do you think?" she asked giving him an awkward smile.

While Ava was in the bathroom Ace picked up Sophie playfully putting her on the bed "Listen Sophi I got the medicine I told you that you would need" he said taking out the green bottle, Sophie shakes her head hard enough to making her hair fly around "You want to get better so you can come with me and Luna on our adventures right, so you have to take it, come on". Sophie takes the bottle opening it then sniffing the top holding her nose with nasty look in her face making Ace laugh and then in one go she drinks the entire thing "Good job baby....Now there's only one other thing to do" he said fixing her hair, running to her pad and ink she writes "You have to ask her when she comes out and tell her the dress looks nice".

"What dres-" Ace gets cut off when Ava comes out with a blue dress that looked unbelievable on her but Ace wouldn't make to much of it "That looks....very beautiful on you Ava blue is your color I'm guessing". Ace looks at Ava with a smile an then rubs his cheeks to hide the blushing "You go in the bathroom and get dress we going to the celebration' he said to Sophie as she was already walking to the bathroom with clothes in hand closing the door behind her.
"So how do you like her? She's shy but I can tell she like you?"

"Thank you," Avalon said with a blush not expecting a compliment. She watched as Sophie went into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. "She seems like a sweetheart and I'm pretty good with kids if I do say so myself," Avalon replied. She smoothed out the skirt of the dress nervously and looked at the walls around her.

"So what exactly is this celebration that we are going to?" She asked without taking her eyes off of the wall. The different colors really lit up the room and didn't make it so sad looking and didn't seem like she was actually sick. Avalon still wondered what exactly had happened to Sophie to cause her not to talk or if she was born with it.

Ace sits one Sophies bed a watches as Ava walks around the room looking at her artwork. "The celebration is for 50 years today that the town was discovered I told Sophie I would taker her out on this day and that's what I'm going to to do" he said rubbing his head thinking it was time to hell Ava everything "Ava, Sophie is a seer she can see into the future she's very good at it she told me where to find you that day you were wounded and its a gift but so much more of a cures because its killing her everyday little by little and I can't do anything to stop it"

Standing up and walking to Ava he comes in front of her "But I found away there's a crystal that can take in some of her power to the point where she can use it whenever she wants but the crystal is deep in the forest we just came from and I can't do it alone and I can't leave her she has to be there accept it". Ace grabs her Avas hands hesitantly and moves in close "So I'm asking you Avalon, will you help me save her? and I will owe you my life"

Avalon looked down at their hands and back up at him. She stepped away uncomfortably and thought about it. Although she wanted to help him and his little sister, Avalon had to take care of her family and keep them out of trouble. She looked into his eyes and nodded. "Fine. Fine I'll help you guys," she replied quietly. His closeness had made her nervous and the fact that he never told her the whole story made her feel wary of trusting him fully.

"I would have appreciated it more if you had told me this sooner," she rubbed her temples in exasperation.

Ace looked at Ava as she moved away feeling an in easiness about what she was going to say and when she finally spoke he felt happy yet confused about what she was saying "Ava Come on if I had-" Ace was saying until he was cut off by Sophie coming out of the bathroom in her red and blue twirling around showing it off to Ace and Ava "You like nice" Ace said looking at Ava then back at Sophie.

"Alright lets get going" Ace says as he sees Sophie grab her bag in the corner packed full of everything she needs at that point she knew that they were braking her out of here. Ace takes Sophie by the hand leading her out of the room while Ava followed, they passed by the nuns with hast getting outside hearing music vibrate off the town walls. Sophie right away runs away from Ace to the kids to play giving him time to talk with Ava.

"Now like I was saying If I had told you everything in one go like I did back there their is no way you would have believed me you would have thought I was crazy?"

Avalon watched as Sophie left to go play and turned back to Ace. "I wouldn't have thought you were crazy Ace. I was found and raised by gryphons. Nothing seems to out there to me after all I've experienced," she replied with a small smile. "It's just that I hate being in the dark about what is going on. The little trick you pulled with my daggers, the cliff, and then you never told me the whole story until I was in town with you and your sister," Avalon counted off on her fingers. She didn't want to admit that she felt that he had brought her to meet his sister and make her feel guilty if she had said no to helping them.

"Just forget I said anything," she mumbled. Her eyes followed Sophie as she played.

Ace runs his fingers through his hair "Alright maybe I played the guilt card a little but that wasn't my intention I wanted your help I just didn't think that you would say yes if I told you right away" he says standing next to Ava as they both watched Sophie play with the other kids "She may not look it but she is very sick I couldn't risk you saying no, I guess it was another one of my dirty tricks but this one needed to be dirty and I'm sorry that I used it on you....I won't be surprised made if you leave".

Ace walks away from towards Sophie as she jumps into his arms as she signs that she's hungry, he walks with Sophie in his arms as they got to the neartest food stand to get something to eat.

Avalon watches the pair and sighs. She had nothing that she need to get accomplished at the time. Her mind kept being strangely pulled to helping them and so she finally succumbed to it. "If they need help then I will stay for only Sophie," she mumbled.

She walked over to Ace and his sister sighing. "I'll help still," she said with a straight face. "For you." Avalon smiled at Sophie and pat her head affectionately. When she stood up straight to face Ace she took back her straight face and ordered something for herself at the food stand.

Ace smiled as Ava pats Sophie on the head and agreed to helping them out "Thank you" Ace whispered to Ava just before she went to order her food. Once they were done ordering Ace gave Sophie a the day that he promised her, taking her to all the things she had wanted to puppet show, sword competition, and the dance show all that was left were the fireworks. Ace follows Sophie as she lead him and Ava to a spot where they could watch the fire works together "That was a full day" Ace said to Ava "but I can't imagine a time that I have ever seen her so happy....You played a part in that you know with at you I never would have got the money"

Avalon smiled and looked up at the sky not seeing whatever Sophie was waiting for. "What are fireworks?" she asked. Instead of answering he sat there causing her to frown slightly. Then a colorful array of light lit up the sky with a loud boom. Avalon flinched at the noise but gasped when she saw what they called fireworks. She had never seen anything so beautiful and giant in her life.

"This is amazing!" she said excitedly. When Ace smirked at her she cleared her throat and put on a straight face again. "I just wish my brothers were here to see it." She rested her chin on her fist as they watched the giant lights explode in the sky.

Ace turns his head when Ava mention her family and the first thought that came to him was happiness because she could actually tell him about this. Sophie ran up to Ace just before he could talk with Ava and sat down in between them still watching the fireworks her face lighting up for every firework that went off brought a smile to Ace face and he could see it growing on Avas also.

"Sophie go sit with the other kids its better" Ace said to Sophie as she was already running to the kids "Her power can be annoying at times....Where are your brothers Ava?"

She sighed and looked at him with a smile. "You met Dusk and Amon. Not really my brothers I know. The gryphon is my big brother and the dragon is my little brother but they can never come in to town with me because they aren't human." Avalon looked at Sophie having always wanted an actual person to call family. Although she loved her brothers, they couldn't talk to her or be with her everywhere she went.

"Amon's mother found me as a baby and took me in after losing 2 of her own. I found Dusk when I was around 10 and we watched him hatch and took care of him. I don't know if I actually have human siblings or even what happened to my parents," she explained. Finally being able to tell someone her story made her feel less alone.

Ace sees how Avas face showed sadness for not having her brothers with her but some kind of joy every time she looked Sophies way "Me and you really aren't so different, my parents didn't want me so they left me on the doorstep of that church where we picked up Sophie" he said looking over at her "When I turned 17 I had a plan to get away but then Sophie was left on the doorstep the nuns knew right away she was cursed so they were going to turn her away but when I promised to take care of her they let her be"

Ace chuckled under his breath then looks at Ava "I couldn't let her just be turned away just for being herself and after that day we've always been family doing everything together I didn't realize she was a seer until a couple months later....What I'm saying is that even though she isn't my blood she still family and she could be your family to"

Avalon looked at him with a shocked and confused face. "My family? I'm only here to help you and then I'll be off," she replied turning away from his face. She liked the thought of living with humans but if she did that then how would she take care of her brothers. "I can't stay with you guys after..." Avalon rubbed her arm nervously just thinking about having a new family. Why would they even want to put up with her and all of her mischief? Although she was already technically an adult, she always got in trouble whether it be with thieves or authority figures. Her hands stayed clasped together and her eyes up in the sky not wanting to look at Ace still and see the smile that was strangely contagious.

Ace watches as Ava purposely avoids his gaze making him chuckle "You know you really aren't good at hiding your thoughts" he said hearing the fireworks had stopped "Come one we gotta meet up with Luna". Ace takes Sophie hand as the head out of the city looking back to see Ava keeping her distance from them, as they walked through the forest Sophie runs into the clearing to hug the giant dragon on the nose "Sophie missed you Luna and I know you missed her" he said to the Luna as she ignore him and focused on Sophie.

Ace walks to Ava as she stayed near the forest "We're going to head back to the cave Sophies pretty tired and we gotta big day tomorrow if you want you can ride with us?"
