Avalon wiped the last of the tears and redness off of her face. "Well crying shows a weakness and no one wants to expose themselves like that." She groaned and stretched her arm up to him to pull herself up. "Breakfast sounds good. What's on the menu?" she asked with a yawn. She then noticed how close they were standing and stepped back with an awkward glance to her brothers. She pushed tendrils of hair out of her face and started to walk past him toward the river not waiting for the answer. She shook her head trying to forget about the dream and continued walking.

Ace followed as Ava lead the way to the river following Luna and Sophies tracks "Were gabbing some fish its Lunas favorite and shes a pro at catching them" he said as he caught up to her. As they walked Ace kept to himself not going to bring there conversation from last night just keeping quite until they found Luna and Sophie both in the river fishing. "I thought you guy would at least what for us" Ace said as he takes his shoes off.

Rolling up his pants Ace sees Sophie wave good mourning to Ava "Come on you aren't going to catch anything if you don't get in" he said walking into the water, at that moment Luna dives her head into the river pulling it back out to spit a mouth full of fish right near Ava. "I told you she was really good"

Avalon rolled up her pants at and first put the fish on the rocks near the river to dry. Then she stepped into the water and shivered at the sudden coldness. "How can you stand this water?" she asked trying to calm her chills. She rubbed her upper arms and pulled one out one of her new knives. It was larger than all of her others and had an intricate design on it's retractable hilt. She pulled it out into a short spear and crept through the waters. As soon as she saw the reflective scales of a fish, she stabbed through the water. The fish jumped up and she tried to catch it but instead landed in the water. When she regained control of herself she slowly made her way to a sitting position in the river. "This is why I don't fish and I stick to hunting," she muttered annoyed. Her eyes went to where Ace was laughing at her and she rolled her eyes. She splashed the icy water at him and her sister to get them to calm down. "Oh hush. I'll cook and you catch from now on."

Ace almost froze when Ava splashed the water on to them Sophie laughing not even feeling the effects of the water "Alright go have a seat....Luna will get the fire started" he said splashing Ava back as she walked to the riverside. Luna spit her fire on a pile of wood Ava put together while Ace helped Sophie catch as many fish as possible making her smile every time one slip through there fingers once they had enough he picked up Sophie and carried her back to land.

"Wow that smells good" Ace said looking on the cooking fish on the fire "Didn't know you had skills outside of cutting throats", Sophie ran by Avas side sitting by the fire looking her cook the fish.

"Oh so funny," she said sarcastically. "I'm the only one in my family that even as the hands to cook so of course I had to learn." She flipped the fish again with her spear-like knife and the embers flew up into the sky. The fish was now a slightly charcoal color on one side but the meat inside was pink and juicy. As soon as she thought they were done she again put them on the rocks to dry. "Here Luna," she said tossing one to her open mouth.

Ace sees Luna enjoy the fish Ava cooked showing a blissfulness on her face as she eats "I've never once seen her make that face....might want to keep you around a bit longer after our adventure" Ace aid smiling at Ava as she handed a piece of fish to Sophie. Sophie ate her fish making the same face Luna did once it her her tongue bouncing and smiling at Ava "That's her way of saying thank you" Ace said grabbing a piece of fish for himself then biting into it.

"This is really good..." smiling at Ava "So ummm....I was thinking about our plans and if we ride these guys it should take us a couple of minute to get to the Black Forest and hen after that we're on our own for awhile"

"Your welcome an that sounds like a plan," she replied biting into her juicy fish. She scarfed it down quickly like the big eater she was. Avalon grabbed another fish off of the tip of her spear and plopped in her mouth as well. "I'm going to go bring some breakfast to my brother's. I'll be right back." With that she took an armful of fish and started walking back to the cave. Amon and Dusk were still cuddling in their sleep when Avalon went up close to them and screamed "breakfast!" Amon got up in a protective and weary stance,almost tripping over his paws. Dusk just put his large paws over his head asking for a few more minutes of sleep being the laziest dragon she'd ever heard of.

"I cooked fish and you are getting up to eat it," she said throwing a fish at the dragon's head. Before it rebounded off his head and into the dirt, the dragon snapped his head up and jerked forward with his snout to grab it. He glared at her playfully after fully devouring the food. She laughed and set an equal amput of fish out on their outstretched claws.

As Avalon went to feed her brothers Ace looked at Sophie as she finished her fish "Alright good, now this is going to be the first and most important adventure you have with me so do you remember the rules I taught you back at the church" he said looking at Sophie as she ran to her bag grabbing her pad and ink writing "Never go to far from Ace, do as Ace says, and keep your head down if we're in a fight"

"Good I knew you'd remember" Ace said with a smile. Sophie smiled along with him until her face wet blank Ace knew she was having a vision when she wasn't suppose to and as fast as it went blank she came back with a smile writing on her pad "Monkeys". Ace looked at her pad "Monkeys?....OK I'll keep a look out you just try and control your power, now lets go meet up with Ava so we can get going"

Avalon walked to her sleeping brothers and got right next to their ears. "Breakfast!" she yelled out. A startled Amon jumped up and got in a defensive position trying to look tough. He was breathing hard from being scared and his eyes were wide but weary looking. He glared at her playfully and swiped the fish out of her hands and scarfed it down.

Dusk buried his head under his arms and huffed not wanting to get up. "C'mon it's fish," she said waving a tempting morsel in front of his muzzle. He opened one eye and then quickly snatched it from her as well. She let out a laugh and put the rest of the fish she had brought for them into their outstretched claws.

Avalon looked back to see Ace and Sophie catching up to her. She patted Dusk's neck to make him get up but he wouldn't budge. "Such a lazy dragon," she sighed with a smile. Avalon nodded at Amon and went to the back of Dusk, near his tail. Amon stood in front of Dusk and put one claw under his chin. Since Dusk wasn't a very large dragon not being mature yet, he was not very heavy. Avalon pulled on his tail and Amon on his head until he started struggling. He put his feet under him on the ground and finally managed to pull himself up. He snorted at her laughing and shook his head to wake himself up. "This is our usual routine," she said turning back to Ace and his sister.

Ace laughed along with Sophie watching Ava and her brothers play around with each other he couldn't believe unless seeing it but they are really no different from any other family. "We have to get going" Ace said stopping himself from laughing "We have get to the forest while the sun is still high in the sky, if the stories about that forest is true then whatever light that can get through the trees is the light we're going to need".

Ace puts Sophie on Lunas along with all there bags and hops on right behind her "Catch of us if you can" he says as Luna leaps into the air flying off with great speed Ace looks back at Ava smiling then at Sophie with her hands in the air screaming with a smile.

Avalon smiled at his challenge and whistled at her brothers. Amon grabbed her bag in his mouth a threw it over his neck, pulling one foot over the strap like a sash. Dusk ran towards her and began opening his wings as she took a running jump over his neck and onto his back. She patted his neck and he rose higher and flew faster. Amon caught up to their take off quickly and winked at her. Avalon stood up on Dusk's back and leapt towards Amon who caught her in his claws gently. He cradled her against his chest and switched from holding her whole body to just her arms. The lower half of her body was pushed up with the wind as she put her fists out in front of her in a superman pose. Amon shook his head at her antics but held her steady directly under him.

He sped up to pass by Ace and Sophie with Dusk close on their tail. "I'm pretty amazing aren't I?" she bragged jokingly. She let out a whoop and dropped down to Dusk who was now waiting beneath her. She stretched her arms out as they became less stiff from being held in the air like that.

Ace watched as Ava showed off more and more her abilities in the air as she moved from one brother to another with ease "They must have done that a million times huh?" he said looking at Sophie with her eyes wide from watching Ava jump around. Flying around for sometime Ace sees their destination like It could be missed with its never ending sea of green fading off into the distance with his eyes barley bale to see the ground even from the ground.

Luna lands on the ground a couple of feet from the forest then Ace jumps down with Sophie right in his arms, she grabs his neck turning her head away from the forest Ace looks at it understanding why she was scared with what little light getting through the trees it was almost pitch black in there. Putting Sophie down Ace looks at the fear in her face "Hey, nothing is going to happen to you while we're in there OK...remember we're a team you see the bad guys come before they see us and I stop them" he said turning his head hearing Ava coming "Pluswe have a new teammate and she won't let anything happen to you either"

Avalon landed next to them and kissed both her brothers on the forehead. "Stay out of trouble and out of sight yes?" she said sternly more to Dusk because he was the more troublesome one. They nodded curtly and sat to watch her leave into the forest. She turned to Sophie and got down to her height.

"We won't let anything touch you," she said with a comforting smile making Sophie smile back a little braver. Avalon reached behind her and was handed her bag by Amon. She stood up straight and tightened the strap around her shoulder and chest to secure it. She pulled out her newest blade that could turn into a sort of spear and held it in her hand for precautions. She would be lying if she said she wasn't at least a bit scared.

Ace smiled as Ava told Sophie she would be alright it was just another reason he knew he made the right choice in picking her for the job. Walking over to Luna Ace pats her head "I could tell you to head back to the cave but we both know you wont listen to me" he said as Luna nodded her head "Just stay safe and warm please and get some sleep I we wont need you for awhile". Ace walks away from Luna to Ava seeing that she was ready for whatever was in that forest but also giving off a feeling of uneasiness "You know I'm not going to let anything happen to you either right" Ace said with a smug look on his face "I mean we have each others back as much as we do Sophies and even though you some what owe me for saving your life I'm not going to hold that against you"

Ace walks away from Ava with a smile knowing he got her a little ticked at him he grabs Sophies hand and begins to walk into the forest.

Avalon rolled her eyes and followed them. She looked around in the dark forest warily trying to keep her guard up. Every time a leaf even moved she flinched slightly. Her knuckles were white as she grasped her blade firmly like her only life line. "I hate the dark," she muttered loud enough for Ace to hear. She blew the hair out of her eyes and blindly walked forward behind Ace trusting that he actually knew where they were going because she hadn't got a clue.

Ace looks back at Ava as he walked with Sophie hand and hand, he never would have thought Ava to be the scared type especially of the dark "Your really scared of the dark?....Wow seeing you in a whole new light right now". The tress of the forest was just as Ace had heard so tall that you couldn't see the top and so big they could house a family of three in them, the worst thing was what Sophie had wrote earlier "Monkeys" and with the tress being the way the are there was no telling if or when they would come all he could do was wait.

Slowing down so that they all walked side by side Ace looks over at Ava showing the emotion he had never thought he would see on her, fear. "So you gotta tell me why are you scared of the dark?" Ace said with a stupid grin of his face "I mean your brother's a gryphon the most dangerous creature known to man but your scared of the dark....that makes no sense"

"I never said I'm scared of the dark. I just hate it. You can't see any escapes or if you are in a bad situation you can't see enough to make a logical move," she huffed trying to work around the fact that she was in fact scared of the dark. "And anyways it's not like that is such a weird thing is it?" she asked rubbing the back of her neck. Her brothers could see better than her in light and dark making her feel less capable of defending herself at night. Thieves and hunters came at night when stealth was on their side but she had no stealth with 2 creatures stomping around behind her. She shuddered at the thought of something coming at her and not knowing it until actual contact with it. Avalon's nervously sweating hands made her drop her blade with a slight clink. She leaned down to grab it and saw a big shape on the ground like a spider. She squealed and pulled out another blade quickly and stabbed at it multiple times. When she thought it was dead she picked up her spear and kneeled down. Upon closer inspection it was simply a black mushroom sitting between blades of grass. She groaned in irritation and caught up to them. "Sorry...thought I saw something," she said without looking him in the eyes.

Ace listen to how Ava explained how she wasn't scared of the dark but he could tell she was lying out her teeth and she couldn't hide the expression on her face. Just before he could respond he hears Ava scream making Ace grab Sophie tight as he watches her stab at the ground when she finally stops stabbing he looks down then holds his mouth to keep from laughing "....Do you think ya got it....maybe you missed its friend the twig over there" he said laughing.

Ace looks at Sophie as she looks at him with a sour face "It's funny" Ace said watching Sophie walk over to Ava to hold her hand "So now I'm the bad guy here?". Ace continues to walk.

Avalon smiled at Sophie when she curled her small hand around her own in a gesture to comfort her. "Thanks Soph," she breathed. She gave Ace a slight glare before looking away from him again and following him. She grabbed her other blade in her other hand and slipped it back into it's sheath on her hip. The noiseless environment around them gave her an eerie feeling like someone was either watching or something was going to happen at any moment. The hairs at the back of her neck stood on end when she heard the echo of a monkey screech in the trees above. It was hardly noticeable being so far away but she still scanned the foliage above them just in case there was a stray monkey cruising around.

As they walked for a period of time Ace could hear the noises in the distance as they were far and close at the same time but one thing was for sure the noise was always the same, a monkey screaming. Ace keeps his senses open like he saw Ava was doing as she walk gripping Sophies hand tighter each second their was a noise unfamiliar to her at that second Ace hears Sophie take deep breath drawing his attention to her as she showed a face of fear worry.

Ace grabs Sophie lifting her up in his arms and gesture for Ava to follow them quickly as soon as he found a place with enough light and space he puts Sophie down "OK, just like we practice point and I shoot you can do this" he said kissing her on the forehead before taking out his bow then looks to Ava "OK this is just like a normal fight but instead of watching your opponent you watch Sophie and kill anything where ever she points....I told you she had power and your going to see first hand what she can do"
