I've been having an 'interesting time' at work lately, and just decided that I need some good tunes to listen to - doesn't matter what genre, really, I like most of them (except American Country music, but even then there IS some of it I like) - and I'm just sort of out of the loop on new bands/songs since I barely keep track of new releases. I'm also bored of my current music collection since I've listen to it over and over and over and over and over.
tl;dr list good tunes because my boss is being super [RADIO EDIT] with me.

Battlestar Galactica soundtrack.
You're welcome.
You're welcome.
I would suggest Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, Simple Plan, Simon Curtis, Five Finger Death Punch(the best song they have is Remember Everything.), and Savage Garden. I am a teen so I keep up with new releases of bands.
Daft Punk (Random Access Memories album)
Michael Bublé
Awolnation (I love their song "Sail" so much)
Florence + the Machine
Skindred

I can second that
Or pretty much any soundtrack by Bear McCreary for that matter. He's even working on Agents of SHIELD at the moment!
Other suggestions, the Mass Effect soundtracks, VAST and of course my old favourite, Pink Floyd.

you for this. These are wonderful artists.
Also look into:
The Knife/Fever Ray/Royksopp
Lorde
Katatonia
Yuki Kajiura's music is fantastic - a lot of songs have English or no lyrics.
Akira Yamaoka (Composed a lot of Silent Hill songs.)
Massive Attack (Black Milk is probably my favorite song by them.)
Lana Del Rey
M83 (Skin of the Night, Wait, and Moonchild are all wonderful songs by them.)
VNV Nation
The Glitch Mob
Kamelot
Trentemoller (Moan is a good song)
Carina Round (Please Don't Stop makes me cry, but probably because I read a fantastic Twine that had the song linked in there. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/88951433/cradle.html Right there. Three possible endings. Wonderful story. Worth the play. If you want more, here's his wordpress: http://kittyhorrorshow.wordpress.com/) ((WARNING: His stuff is pretty dark so I wouldn't read it unless you're okay with cursing and adult themes.))
Big Black Delta (IF***INGLOVEYOU is such a crazy good song, seriously.)
Machinae Supremacy (A View from the End Of the World is a great album. ALL of their songs are fantastic on that one.)
Blueneck
Athlete
Echo and the Bunnymen
Father John Misty
Niki & The Dove
That's all I'll give you right now, I can't think of too many others. ;u;. HAVE FUN!
I listen to almost every genre out there. Here's my favorites from different genres;
Metal or "screamo" (Of Mice & Men, The Devil Wears Prada, Memphis May Fire, We Came As Romans)
Classic 80s punk (The Cure)
90s-2000s punk (blink182, MxPx, Yellowcard)
the Punk Rock of today (Rise Against, The Used)
Electronic (Owl City, Ghost Town)
Celtic (Dropkick Murphys, Flatfoot56, Sir Reg, Paddy and the Rats)
Folk (Mumford and Sons, Rend Collective Experiment
Acoustic (Jon Foreman is the BEST)
Spoken Word (La Dispute, Beautiful Eulogy)
Songs that I've been jamming to today have been...
Friday I'm In Love - The Cure
Anyone Else But You - The Moldy Peaches
Those Who Slay Together Stay Together - Chiodos
Breezeblocks - alt-J
Responsibilities - MxPx
Tonight You Belong To Me - Eddie Vedder
Let me know what you think!
