Aeryn nodded as Waltson got very serious, and when he was about to tell her what had happened to the last person who went in there Altair interrupted. Aeryn jumped slightly from the surprise, and quietly wondered what had happened because now she was curious.
Aeryn watched as Waltson took his leave and Altair asked how she felt about her duties and then lunch. "I think I can manage." she replied. "I am a little hungry.." she admitted, since she barely touched breakfast. She smiled at the mention of the garden, "Sure, I would love to see it." Aeryn loved flowers, and remembered even as a child she would pick the wild flowers that grew in the mountains and make crowns out of them. She smiled softly at the memory, and glanced up at Altair. "Shall we head to the dining room?" she asked.

Altair smiled. "Good. Yes, we shall." He walked along to the dining room and sat down, the meal already waiting for them. He ate quietly, letting her talk if she had anything to say or ask him, but otherwise staying quiet. She certainly had a lot to learn about living with him, since he was mostly blind. He put his fork down when he was done and smiled at her. "What do you think of the food?"
Aeryn walked with him down to the dining room, thinking along the way. She wondered what he did in that room, and why something had happened to someone who had gone in there. When they sat down for lunch she ate thoughtfully, the silence not bothering her much. Altair then broke the silence, asking her how the food was. "Oh it's delicious, thank you..." she said, looking down at her plate. "Sir, may I ask you about the study?" she said, after pausing a moment to decide whether or not to even ask. "I-I don't mean to intrude, it's just..I'm curious is all and worry about your safety..the walls did shake last night.." she hadn't wanted to bring it up, but her vision had her worried.
Altair lifted his head to face her as she asked the question, then he stood up calmly. "You may ask, but you will not get an answer. I apologize for the disturbance last night. My study is where I do much of my work, and that is all you need to know. Last night's disturbance was an anomaly, it will not happen again. You needn't concern yourself with what goes on in there." He didn't sound angry, he spoke calmly but firmly. "Don't worry, Aeryn. I can take care of myself, in there of all places. But please, do not worry yourself about the study, and heed my order not to enter." He smiled. "Are you ready to go to the garden?"
Aeryn nodded, feeling a little shut down but she didn't push it. She finished her food in silence as he spoke, telling her not to worry and also not to disobey his wishes. She nodded to his question, "Y-yes, I'm ready." she answered, pushing her plate to the side. She stood from the table, pushing in her chair as far as it would go.
When he was ready they would walk to the garden, and Aeryn would follow quietly. She was torn slightly, her vision upset her more than she realized and she had an instinctive feeling that it was about Altair. She would occasionally glance at him as they walked, and she couldn't help but wonder what he was being secretive about.

Altair walked along with her, taking her out the back door to the garden. It was a lovely garden with very fragrant flowers, since Altair couldn't see but he could smell. "Waltson takes care of the flowers. He is always very good with them, and makes sure that they are well taken care of. I like to come out here to relax. It smells so fresh and nice out here." He smiled at her. "What do you think?"
Aeryn had followed him down to the garden, and her breath caught when her eyes scanned over the garden. It was absolutely beautiful, and the air was thick with the sweet aroma from each flower. "It's wonderful." Aeryn complimented breathlessly, walking over and sticking her face into the flowers and inhaling. She had to give Waltson some credit, he had a talent. The colors blended nicely and she only wished that Altair could see it, "I think Waltson may have a gift as well.." she said, chuckling slightly.
The sun was warm on her skin as she stood in the garden with Altair, and she closed her eyes taking it all in. She may have found her most favorite part of the whole mansion, and hoped she could come here often. It was a nice quiet and peaceful place to think, and she had already forgotten all of her worries.

Altair smiled, listening to her. "He is quite talented, yes. This is one of my favorite places to be, it is quite relaxing as you can tell." He sighed contently and sat down on one of the benches nearby. "Especially on sunny days like this. Feel free to come out here whenever you'd like, just make sure you let Waltson or I know, so we know where you are in case we need you."
He turned his head towards her and smiled. "Do you like flowers, Aeryn?"
He turned his head towards her and smiled. "Do you like flowers, Aeryn?"
Aeryn looked over at Altair and smiled, taking a seat next to him. "Yes, I love flowers." she replied, looking across the garden now. "It does seem like a great place to clear your head, thank you for allowing me to come here.." she said, looking over at him now. Aeryn was grateful for the good fortune she had received, never in a million years did she think she would be sitting in such a beautiful garden and living in what she considered a castle. Her bed was so soft and comfortable that despite her dreams she did sleep well.
Aeryn remained quiet, listening as a small breeze pushed through, making the flowers dance. She closed her eyes as the breeze tickled her skin and smiled, taking it all in. She wondered if Altair ever got to experience the beauty in the world, "Have you always been blind?" she asked softly, hoping she wasn't being forward again.

Altair listened to her, smiling as she admitted enjoying flowers. "Good, good. I'm glad." He nodded slightly. "You are always welcome here." He closed his eyes and tilted his head back a little, letting the warm rays of sunshine fall on his face. He didn't even move when the question was asked of him about his blindness. "I have. I've never once seen sunshine or stars. But I can still enjoy it like anyone else. I'm rather better off than most others who have been born blind, though, due to my gift of aura sight. I can see shapes and colors, because so much does have an aura. Auras for things like animals and humans are strongest, but even trees and flowers have auras. Faint, very faint, like little wisps of light. But I can still see it, in a way."
Aeryn opened her eyes slowly, staring up into the sky. "It's like my people believed, every living thing has an energy, a purpose." she smiled, watching as the clouds moved slowly across the sky. She watched as two sparrows fluttered about in the sky, she envied the birds, wishing she had that sort of freedom to just fly where ever she wanted and see everything from above.
Aeryn let out a small sigh and turned to look at Altair, "Thank you for bringing me out here, it was nice to be able to clear my mind for a moment." she said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She did feel relaxed, but for some reason her nerves were still on edge. Something felt off, and she couldn't tell what it was or if it was even anything at all.

Altair nodded and got to his feet. "You are quite welcome. You may relax here for a little while if you like. I need to take care of some things. When you come inside, just find Waltson and he'll show you some things to do." He smiled at her, then walked back into the house. He didn't seem the least bit concerned about anything, even the change in the fact that her vision had come while she was awake. He just went into his study and worked for a while. Waltson would have her dust some things, and then she would be allowed to have a small break, then she would help with various other little chores.
Aeryn watched him as he left, then turned her attention to the garden. She stood from the bench and caressed a flower with her fingers before going inside and finding Watson. She started her duties right away, dusting and making sure everything stayed in place. She worked diligently, humming softly to herself as she dusted some extravagant statues.
Waltson came to tell her she could have a break, and she smiled shaking her head in response. "I've rested enough, you've both been so hospitable to me." she said softly. Waltson let her know what other chores needed to be done and she started on those. Mopping and polishing the floors, Aeryn didn't mind the tasks at all and found them easy enough to do. She looked at her reflection in the shining floor, tilting her head slightly as she saw a face behind her in her reflection. She jumped slightly, turning to find no one behind her. She blinked, looking back at the floor only seeing herself. She frowned, the face was of no one she knew. She wondered if she was losing her mind, seeing things that weren't there.
Aeryn finished her tasks and by the time she was done she could smell the sweet aroma of dinner cooking, and she headed up to her room to clean up before it was time to eat. She washed her hands and freshened up a bit before heading towards the dining room, hoping to run into Altair or Watson.

Altair was standing in the doorway, talking quietly with Waltson. The man nodded and left, and Altair turned to face Aeryn. "Hello, Aeryn. How are you doing? Is the day going alright? The chores weren't too hard, were they?" He smiled and went into the dining room to sit down, 'watching' her and then beginning to eat.
"Is there anything you need, Aeryn? I want to take you out to the tailor's soon to get outfits fitted specially for you, but other than clothing is there anything you need that was missing from your room?"

Aeryn walked up to Altair and smiled, "I'm fine, it was no trouble at all.." she said, following him into the dining room. She sat at the table and started to eat as well, she glanced up as Altair spoke "I don't think there is anything I need, thank you. I'm pretty easy to please when I'm not in a cage.." she said softly, glancing down at her plate. "Are there any night duties?" she asked, glancing back up at him as she ate. "I just want to make sure I have the routine down."
Altair chuckled slightly. "Mm, that is a good thing. Cages are never any fun anyways." He shook his head slightly. "Not really. Not unless I have company. Usually by this time everything has been taken care of, and so the evening you get to yourself. If something does come up that needs taken care of, then you will be told." He quieted and ate, letting her have a chance to consider this info and ask anymore questions.
Aeryn nodded, eating has he answered her questions. When he was finished and started eating again, she glanced up at him. "I hardly feel like a slave anymore...Thank you Altair.." she said softly before reaching over and taking her glass of water and finishing it. She set the glass back down, and went back to her food. She ate slowly this time, savoring each flavor of every bite. "Who cooks here? I must say they have a talent..I do not think I have ate so well ever in my life." she chuckled a bit. "Unless it's just you and Waltson?" she asked, glancing up. The house was so big it was easy to miss someone.
(So sorry for the late reply and how short it is, I've been in the hospital with pneumonia and the holiday and everything. -_-)

(Oh no I hope you are feeling better!! It is totally okay!)
Altair smiled softly at her. "Good... I don't think slaves are treated as they should be, so I'm glad that I am different." He nodded slowly as she asked about a cook. "Chef Williams. He is very skilled in his work. You may have seen him around but he is generally spotted before and after a meal." He chuckled softly. "Not very personable, but he is not mean."

Aeryn nodded, finishing her meal and leaving a clean plate. "I've yet to run into him, I'll try to stay out of his hair." she said, picking up her napkin and wiping her mouth. Her stomach was full, and her body was starting to feel the exhaustion from such an exciting day of learning everything. A small yawn escaped her lips and she looked to Altair, "If you don't mind and there is nothing else, I'd like to excuse myself for the evening. I didn't get much sleep last night and it was quite a say" she said, giving a small smile. She was still a little shaken over the intensity of her visions now, and she figured a nice long hot bath and a good nights rest would do the trick to calm her nerves. She didn't want to be slacking on her job.
Altair chuckled softly. "Yes, it wouldn't be a bad thing to avoid him." When she yawned, he smiled and lifted a brow. He stood up and stretched, listening at her request to be dismissed for the evening. "Of course, certainly. Get some rest. Please, let us know if you need anything." He smiled and walked around the table. "I think I might turn in early myself, but you know who to go to if you need something."
He smiled again at her and gave a slight bow. "Goodnight, Aeryn. Rest well. I can assure you there will be no disturbances tonight."
