It adds another element of appreciation, versus writing a post just to commend them. For simplicity's sake, and inclusivity, it may be best to exclude 'emojis,' or reactions, that imply bias or distaste.
Some individuals, like myself, prefer not to comment and like to simply offer 'quiet' kudos. It lets the writer know they are appreciated, and the individual who reacts is able to do so without the necessity to write a full response.
This option can be similar to Discord's reaction system, or Facebook's like system.
If this has already been suggested, my apologies. All views in this thread are my own opinion, though I hope others would also appreciate this feature.
