As the night stars start to shine you hear grunting from an ally way. You walk and look into the ally way to see Arthur (Me) fighting someone. As you watch you see that Arthur (Me) is losing conscious and is slowly blacking out. As I take a final step backwards I black out. The other fighter leaves not caring about what will happen to me. You look worried and nervous what may happen if you leave me or help me.

Magic is rare. Some of the players might have it. There may be sages or other magical figures that could be sought out for tutelage.
Industrial revolution
Wartime/soldier RPs. Combat is a given and will likely be graphic, but there's the potential for non-combat "in the trenches" scenes. World War 2, Vietnam, etc.
Romance is required from early on, but there will be some semblance of a plot beyond the relationship.
