Gwenithar paid very careful attention, listening to him as he instructed and explained about the Greatsword. "I see." She nodded slightly in understanding. She had never known that demon blood would do such a thing. She glanced at Caelius. "How did you learn to fight against demons?" She looked back to the blade, watching carefully to see how he rubbed it without hurting himself. She would probably be cleaning the big sword at some point, so she wanted to made sure she didn't accidentally get some human blood on it too because she was clumsy.
"I was forced to." He replied. "A mission went wrong and demons got involved. Not a pleasant encounter, and neither side escaped from it unhurt. That demon is still running around as well." He replied calmly, thinking back of his first encounter.
Gwenithar listened to his brief explanation and gave a slight nod again. He didn't seem to be one for talking unless he was instructing her in something important. "I see. I'm sorry, it was a rather personal question." She glanced back to the window and the door, hoping that she was right. Hoping that the demons would leave her alone now that he had killed one. "Is there anything you would like me to do next, Caelius?" She felt like he still might be wary on letting her stay, so she wanted to prove that she was useful to have around.
Caelius pointed at pretty much everywhere. "I'm sure you'll find something to do, plenty of chores left."
The mercenary wasn't lying, it had been a while since Caelius had cleaned the place. It wasn't an utter mess, but it had seen brighter days. "It's already dark, however. Feel free to start on it tomorrow. I'll get some sleep as well now."
"He took his Greatsword and held it easily in one hand as he started for the stairs. "Bedroom's over there." he repeated, pointing to a door down the hallway. With that he disappeared up the stairs.

Gwenithar listened to him and nodded. "Alright." She watched him leave, then went to the door he had gestured to. "...goodnight." It was far too late and far too quiet for him to hear, but she said it anyways. She went into the bedroom and looked around. Well, at least this was better than sleeping in the streets and waking up with bruises and cuts from the demons.
Caelius undressed and got into bed. He was wondering what he could do to solve this girl's problem. He'd already gotten one, but that wouldn't end it. How many are there? Do they serve someone? Why do they haunt the girl?
Especially that last question kept spinning around in her head, untill fatigue caught up and he fell asleep.

Gwenithar slept incredibly well, considering she was in a strange man's house! But it was a real bed she slept on. In the morning she woke, brushed out her hair with her fingers and smoothed out her dress, since it was the only one she wore. She poked her head out of the room, then looked around and stepped out. She was quiet, just in case he was still sleeping.
Caelius woke up early, and he was already strolling around his room getting some things in order before going downstairs. He put on some fresh clothes and walked down the stairs, taking his greatsword with him. Gwen would certainly notice in time that he would never leave an area without his greatsword. It was always in the same room with him. He walked into the living room and put it up against the wall, where it had been the day before when Gwenithar first walked into the house.
Gwenithar spotted him and stepped out, watching as he went into the living room. "Good morning, Caelius." She cleared her throat slightly. Well, her first real day in servitude to him. It would be interesting. She waited for a few moments, to see if he would tell her to do something. She had no idea what his routine was. What did he normally do in the morning? She glanced around. Come to think of it, did he live alone? With no one else at all?
Caelius looked up, not having remembered her staying over until he saw her. "Oh, G'morning Gwenithar." he replied. He went for the door and opened it, looking out into the streets. It was quiet outside. He nodded and closed it again. "They haven't returned overnight." he told her.
Gwenithar smiled slightly at the news. "That's a relief." She paused for a moment, debating whether she should ask or not. "Do you live alone, Caelius?" He had the room for more than one person in the house, as was proven by the fact that she was staying there now. But did he live here all on his own? "..Would you like me to make you breakfast?"
Caelius looked at her due to her sudden question. "Yeah, I'd like some breakfast." he replied. With that he took his sword and started checking it for weak points. When he was done with that, he took a cloak out from the wardrobe.
"I'm going for a walk, I'll be back in time." he said, then walked out the door and closed it behind him.

Gwenithar glanced at him. "..alright." She watched him leave, then went into the kitchen. At least he wasn't there to watch her embarrass herself by rifling through the kitchen to find out where everything was. By the time he returned, she had eggs, bacon and a slice of warmed bread on a plate for him. She had the table dusted and cleaned, and the plate set there with a glass of water. She was in the kitchen, cleaning up from her cooking.
