Xeron had walked away from another house that actually had candy, and heard screaming from afar. He didn't know for sure, but his best guess was that it was coming from the odd house with the creepy guy. Xeron unsheathed a hidden combat knife from within his boot and quickly dashed for the house. It was probably nothing, this was Halloween, the holiday full of scares and 'Trick or Treating', so he held the knife in a way nobody would see it from in front of him.

(Mind if I rejoin? I got lost before.)

He sat there, looking at the girl, his head now in pain. He groans, his mood quickly changing. "Dammit.. Dammit..." Why did I have to go and do that.. **You gave in, it's your fault!** Shut UP!

She woke up after about a minute and upon finding herself on the floor, began to weakly crawl away. The door was so close... Within her sight... So close... She blacked out again.

While he has this little confrontation with himself, you could hear him muttering even as you slept.

She remained unconscious for about half an hour and when she woke, she looked around, feeling bewildered and very sore.

Xeron finally made it to the house and decided to look in the multiple windows to see if he could get a glimpse of what was going on. He saw just as Mariah had woken up to gaze at the door. Xeron went straight up to the lab's main doors and kicked them open. He jumped in and looked around.

"What the hell happened here?!" He said quickly, with surprise in hsi voice, he was only hoping someone was scared due to Halloween.

"Eheh.." The man stares at his hand, a grin fighting it's way onto his face. "You.. Should probably go..."
Mariah's foot would have wrappings around it, and though she found a few new cuts, they were all stitched up. Much like the laboratory. He's sitting at the corner of the room, a shaky cigarette in his mouth.

She looked down at her ankle and lightly touched her stitched up wounds. Mariah had no idea whether to thank him or to run away screaming, so she went somewhere in between and whispered "Thank you," then stood and began limping away, right into Fang's arms.

Xeron just stands there at the door with a bewildered look on his face. "What the hell, just happened here?"

"I dissected a Neko... I read about them a while back... H-Halloween isn't the best time for me to be around me.."

The anthro whimpered and clung to Xeron, "P-please take me away," she looked up at him with a terrified gaze.

"Y-yeah..." Xeron says, he has no words for whatever has happened here. He picks up Mariah and carries her away from the house. Maybe he could find a nearby hospital, and notify the law enforcement or whatever this world has, about what Stein did.

She blushed a bit and cuddled into his hold, "He... He electrocuted me and he cut me..." the 15 year old whimpered, "He... He changed... Like into a different person."

"It's alright, we're going to go to a hospital to check if he's done anything to you. I'm sure he hasn't but it's better safe than sorry. You can... You can trust the doctors there. They aren't like whoever did this to you," Xeron said, attempting to calm down the kid.

"Who knows, maybe in this world all the doctors are like that... But if they do attempt anything, I'll be there to help," He thought to himself. He just hoped it wouldn't have to come to that.

"That man was crazy... He has split personalities..." she said quietly.

"That actually hasn't been scientifically proven. But then again, this is a different world, and who knows what goes on around here..." Xeron gets the girl to a hospital and the doctors check her in immediately when Xeron mentions the Patchwork Laboratory. Stein must have a reputation, or something. Xeron stays by her, and watches, he's not sure he trusts anybody in this world, not until they show that they're trustworthy.

The doctors don't find much, but inform Mariah that she'd have a scar or two for a while.
"Stein is kind of known for things like this, why were you there?" they'd ask,

"She was... Eh, trick or treating," Xeron explained. "I don't know many of the details, however. Only she could tell you, but it was a traumatic experience from what I saw... I'm just glad I got there before he did anything. Hey, wait! If you know Sthat man has done this to kids and others, why hasn't he been locked up, or put away somehow?!"

"He's a good person.. He has a psychiatrist but Halloween I think is hard for him,"

"A good PERSON?! Even good people who go completely insane and kill people or dissect random kids go to some sort of jail! What the hell kind of world is this, anyways?! Gaaaah! I need to get outta here if this is the norm for this place," Xeron began to whack his head on one of the hospital's walls. He couldn't wrap his head around it. He thought going to a place called, 'Death City' for Halloween was a good idea. He was obviously, very wrong.
