Hero stood silently, gazing up at a perfect perching spot in a tree. She swayed as she watched it intently for a stretch, before glancing around her. She sprung to life, jumping onto the tree and using it to spring backwards to gain the height she required to grab the branch that was far too tall for her. Her hands outstretched to grip it, but fell short by mere centimeters. She fell back down to the ground, landing on her behind. She gathered herself up, rubbing her sore back. She hoped nobody had seen that.
"Ouch... That had to hurt," came a voice from within the trees, though the owner was hidden in the canopy.
"You can't spring off so fast if you want to grab a branch that high," he explained, "You've gotta stay on the tree as long as possible and jump at the last possible moment."
The voice sounded young but masculine, probably belong to someone in their late teens, possibly early twenties. The tone it held wasn't aggressive either, maybe a tad mocking, but not mean.
"Would you like me to show you?"

Hero paused and looked in the direction of the voice, her eyes wide. Someone had saw her fail, she flushed slightly. "It did," she mumbled softly, removing her hands from her back. "Usually I'm better." She moved closer to the voice, tilting her head. "Where are you?" She smiled a bit lopsided. She giggled, "Who are you?" Her tone was soft, but childlike. She liked meeting new people, especially if they were interesting and he certainly sounded interesting.
A black-haired boy dropped out of the leaves and smiled at her.
"I'm Elemeno," he said and pushed some of his hair out if his right eye, "That was quite the fall."

Hero hopped back, slightly alarmed before breaking out into a grin. "Nice hiding spot!" She remarked, fixing her worn scarf as she continued. "It's ok, I've had worse." She extended her bandaged hand to him, "I'm Hero!"
"Probably don't save many people since you can't even climb a tree," he teased but still had a friendly smile on his face, "Watch this," he said and ran at the same tree she had, propelling himself up it's trunk. He shoved off with his powerful legs just as gravity began to counter his momentum and grabbed onto the branch she had been aiming for. He swung there for a money then hoisted himself up and straddled it then smiled down at her.
"Save people?" She asked, the joke lost on her. Who would need saving from her? Her full name wasn't actually linked to heroic, it was a bane of her father's. She laughed when she realised, and then gasped as Elemeno managed his way up the tree. She hopped up and down, clapping her hands giddily. "Wow! Wow! You're great." Her trademark lopsided Cheshire grin crossed her face, her eyes almost closed as her cheeks pushed her eyelids up. She stepped back, and ran at the tree again. This time she followed Elemeno's method. Her fingers curled around the branch, she swung idly before scrambling up awkwardly, kicking her legs and lifting herself onto her stomach. She lay limp for a moment, giggling. "I did it."
He lightly patted her shoulder, "Congrats, you're a parkour genius now," he smirked subtly, "Whatcha doing out here?"
"I was just wasting time," she responded, pushing herself up and sat on the branch. She swung her legs and smiled lightly, "There was a paper thing in the tree yesterday, but it wasn't here today. I didn't have much else to do." She shrugged.
He moved over a bit so they weren't shoulder to shoulder and shrugged, "I guess there aren't too many reasons to be out here unless you like the scenery."
Hero nodded her head. "What about you?" She pulled her scarf down to a less choking length, and smiled. "Do you just like the scenery?"
"Kinda," he shrugged, "I live out here. I haven't exactly had good experiences living in populated areas before. I like people, I just... Things don't go as planned all the time."
She frowned at his comment, feeling a little sorry for him. "That must suck." She fixed her scarf, once again and looked at her dangling feet. "I've never been anywhere where there were lots of people."
"Eh, people I meet out here are far more interesting," he gave her a charming smile, "And sometimes are less judgmental of my condition."
Hero glanced up and gave him a doubly wide smile. The charming part of the smile was lost on her, it just looked 'super duper' friendly to her. "Are you sick or something?" She looked him over, he certainly didn't LOOK sick to her, but she supposed some sicknesses were more internal than others.
"Well... I don't think sick is the right word... I guess it depends on who you are. I'm a Lycanthrope."
She stared blankly, and blinked. "A Lyca-what?"
"A werewolf," he shrugged. He didn't mind that others knew. No one would believe anyone who tried ratting him out anyways.
"Oh. What's that?" Hero was the ultimate sheltered child, she hardly ever heard any stories that weren't about the people her parents knew and interacted with. They were colorful characters, but none of them were werewolves.
He lifted an eyebrow, "Really? You don't know?" he asked, though it was rhetorical and he began explaining, "I can change from a human into a wolf or a bipedal, wolf-like beast whenever I want."
