He sighed, "Fine... What must I do to prove myself to you? What must I do to be able to help take care of her?"
'Time.' He shrugged, 'If you have enough of it, you won't want to know her.'
"That doesn't answer my question," he countered, "I care about her a lot. Right now she is my best and only friend. Why can't you just come with her?"
'I've made my point.' He waved his hand dismissively. "I'm tired of this."
He extended his hand over to the hallway, 'Don't bother any further, why don't you go run along now.'
He frowned, "No. I refuse to be just brushed off like that. I care about her," he protested in earnest.
'I don't care, I know what comes from blindly trusting people.'
"Then let me prove myself. You said that's what you wanted so let me do it!"
(Ok it looks like I have to settle this OOC; This is a completely irrational and out of character thing he's demanding and I'm not sure if the character is just tenacious or if this is you pushing it, but can we drop it please? This is a stalemate that Elemeno is going to lose.)

El finally, reluctantly admitted defeat and looked down. He felt a little more than disappointed and he turned, "Fine. You may be her guardian, and I respect that, but I am her friend. You can't change that," he looked around the ramshackle home then called, "I'm leaving, Hero! Have a nice evening! I'll see you later," and with that, he gave the girl's guardian another respectful bow and began to leave.

The guardian stepped back as Hero rushed out and waved frantically at her departing friend, "Byyyyye!!" She smiled at her friend, "I'll see you soon!"
He waved back at her then went back to his car and drove back to his house.
