I've got another idea on the backburner that is just demanding me to write it...but it's a two-novel-story that basically cycles so you can read them both as a prequel/sequel. Don't ask me why I do this to myself... I thought Scion of Truth was hard to write. This one is going to be even harder. @_@ *cries and hides in a hole in the ground--still typing away*

After being poked and prodded, I decided to do NaNo too.. I spend a lot of time waiting around so I'm old school with my notebook and my pen(s).. My novel doesn't have a name yet, and I've restarted it like twenty times.

I finally settled on a modern/slightly futuristic setting, it's a...thriller/romance, I guess would be the most accurate description.

I'm kawaii_kuroi_neko on the site... and this is my first year doing this even though I have known about it forever. So yeah... let's give this a try... Haha

So my computer just died completely won't even boot up. You'll have to take me off the list, I'm going to take it to the shop tomorrow but even on the off chance they can recover my story I won't be able to finish it in time

I'm so sorry to hear that Loki! You can always handwrite...just keep the previous word count.

This is the month that computers tend to die. I swear my laptops know when November rolls around because they always choose to go on the fritz. As it is, my 64 GB thumb drive isn't working after I bumped it while it was in the computer.

Ahhh you'll have to take me off too! I'm about to move again and won't have time to do it this month. I'll still write on it as I get inspired, but I'm not gonna be able to dedicate time to it anymore like I have been. .

Just got back from the shop...they weren't able to recover anything...the harddrive wouldn't even read on another computer My laptop was less than three months old, I'm just so mad at myself for not backing my story up to another place. But I thought I was just rebooting my computer and then it totally died

Don't worry, I'm keeping you on the list. I am not going to penalize you for hardware failure or life changes. You have already put in some effort and that means that you've met the 'try' requirement.

I know it's difficult, but keep trying and you might surprise yourselves!

I'll try to keep at it, but I'm probably not going to be able to until after I move. I like the story, so I don't wanna abandon it. ;~;

I tend to throw my NaNoWriMo stuff into my dropbox. Because it's synced live, in the worst case you just lose what you had since the last save.

Aw geez, I'm sorry for you guys =/ I took my laptop to get checked in october just in case because of my fear of it blowing up or something (yes I'm paranoid )

So far, I've got 2314 words, nine pages. It has been the crazies week ever! Teachers picked this month to send assignments as if the world's gonna end in december. And distractions... *le sigh* It's like fighting a bear here. Hope I can increase those numbers this week. Not to mention, sleep... Sleep is like a sweet vainilla sundae with little pieces of cookie dough and chocolate syrup that I can't never finish eating.

So! What's everyone's wordcount now? You know sometimes I -almost- regret finishing so fast. I think next year I might try for 80k just so I take longer than a week. Anyone struggling? I can try to help, after all I must be doing something right.

My word count is 4620. I'm having a hard time with words now. =/ I had a big, important paper due today and I've had to work the whole month of it. I think I might make it to 6k or 8k in this remaining time I have but even though I didn't reach the 50k, I feel really happy I got into my story again, and now that Nanowrimo made me write more often, I'm sure I can finish it soon, so I don't feel very disappointed about it

I'm only up to 8,452... should be higher, but I have too much trouble focusing on just one story and I'm only counting words for the one I have listed. (Of course even counting the other stuff, It'd probably only be as far as 15k or so.)

Still, the main reason I opted into nano was to get writing again. That seems to be happening, so 50k words or not it's a victory to me.

I'm weeeell over 50k, I just need to type it up T___T I went through 3 notebooks...

I made it up to 42k yesterday

Redbeard and I are sitting at around 32k each. We're pretty far behind. Saturdays have become our "catch-up" days! We sit at a Starbucks with friends and write all day.

That must be fun! I find writing on the weekend is harder for me
