As children,we all dreamed of fantasical places, be it theme parks run by animals that act human, or castles floating in the clouds, maybe even pirates on the open seas. But over time we mature and forget those worlds...Our creations cease to exist...For some of us we are children at heart while some are in a hurry to grow up and have jobs...
Welcome to the Wonder Park, a place created by someone's imagination. But as the years went by, the park was left abandoned and the caretakers of the park were struggling to keep the bits of the park,before it gets swallowed by the darkness. It used to be such a magical place full of magic and fun. But when the creator of the park forgot about them,the darkness appeared and swallowed up half the park.
Y/C or M/C finds the park abandoned one day and are greeted by animals that can talk.
But it starts when either mine your character's mom or dad falls sick,and have to go to a special doctor,and over time they stop believing in the Wonder Park.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Further future, perhaps visit mars or upload your brain
Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
Romance isn't outright desired, but can happen if we decide the characters are perfect for each other. The romance won't be important to the overall plot.
