Hey there! I recently had this rp idea for my character Amelia, and I've been dying to try it. It has lots of potential for some good angst and hurt and comfort. Btw it will help a lot for context if you read Amelia's bio (not a requirement tho, you do you)
Rough idea:
Basically Amelia is the crown princess of a kingdom, and she is getting married of to a Prince (y/c). Said prince will be living at the palace for a period of time to comfirm whether or not he actually wants to marry the princess. But plot twist, y/c is not a prince, he is an impostor, a member of a rebel group who's goal is to take down the king, maybe even the princess too, because of course they won't fall in love *wink, wink*
Polished idea:
Princess Amelia hated her father, she hated him with every part of her being, but he was powerful man after all, and if she stepped out of line the grave of her sister would make sure to remind her how she could end up. There was no escape for her, well there was, only one, her only chance at freedom was marriage. So she will perform, just like she has done since her sister died, she will bow her head, and bat her eyelashes, and say "Yes, father" or "Yes, dear" so she can finally get away, and then maybe just maybe her husband will have an early accidental death, just as accidental as her sister's death. Sinister, she knows, she knows it very well but she simply does not care, not anymore, she is ready to snap.
Y/C has a clear mission, it is quite easy in fact, he only needs to pretend to be a spoiled little prince for a few months. He will charm his way into the palace, and then he will tear it down from inside. Sure, it will be awful to pretend liking the stupid little princess, or even pretend that he is ok with being as filthy priviledged as them, but he will persevere because the other members of the rebellion had risked their lives to kidnap the actual prince, and he could not let that effort go to waste. Maybe he should feel bad about deceiving royalty, but he really didn't, they had taken everything for him, in his eyes they weren't even human.

Well hello there! If I haven't bored you to death yet and you are interested in this dandy little plot you just have to know a few little things.
1. I write literate to semi-literate, some shorter replies are ok, but please give me something to go off, and at least 3 paragraphs is appreciated.
2. A male character would be prefered, but a female character pretending to be a prince is of no issue to me!
3. Please tell me about your triggers, or if anything makes you uncomfy so we van both make the best of the rp
4. Let's have fun and discuss different plot point or places we want the rp to go.
Lastly make sure to PM me if you are interested, I love meeting new rp partners

Plausible legends of ancient magic, but current magic is not common.
Renaissance
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Romance is required from early on, but there will be some semblance of a plot beyond the relationship.
