The animaniacs are a classic 90's cartoon,its full of humor and wonderful characters. The main characters are the siblings known as Yakko,Wakko,and their sister Dot. Others include Catie Kaboom,Chicken Boo,Pinky and Brain,the three Pidgens,Mindy and Buttons,Slappy,and many more.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
A peaceful setting, but with a chance for small fights and struggles to break out on a very small scale.
Some romance is possible, but the overall plot is more important.
