okay well see if you can buy some meat and make turnip stew?

Unfortunately, all the recipes are already shown in the campfire, even if you don't have the components.
So its either not there, or I'm super blind. xD

Once you pick the corn, will the plant grow more corn?

It will not. Once you pick it, you have to take the remains down with a hoe and till the soil again.

The way you regrow them, is to take some of the corn and use it in the seed extractor.
