I have 5 corn seed. Should I plant them next to wheat crops field?

Btw, just in case if someone knows: When I log out and come back, do I return to this farm/village/server or switch to another? Am I able to keep the items I already have in my inventory and chest?

There is only one farm. Every time you log in, you go to the same one as everyone else.
