"I'm sure." She said with a thoughtful expression. "I know." She added, hearing his second statement. She stood up and went over to the front door, glancing back at Andrew. "Thanks for the food." She said simply, turning back towards the door and running out into the suburbs. The place she was supposed to be was actually pretty close to his house, it was going to take about ten minutes to get there but she liked the fresh air. Not sparing a second, she ran down the quiet street towards her destination, Andrew's kindness floating through her head.
The entire area was suburban. The only place she'd find within ten minutes of walking or running was just more houses, or the little shopping area down the street from his house, but that was just a wine store, a gas station, a Walgreens and Subway sandwhich shop. There was an elementary school the opposite direction from the subway and that was five minutes of walking. Past that was just more neighborhoods.
Andrew would be playing video games until 2 that morning so he'd still be up for a while.

Jinx ran over to the small supermarket and checked around her for anyone watching. Quickly she ducked behind the trash bin and waited for the others to show. After a few minutes, two boys and a girl in black clothes came behind the store and looked at Jinx with disappointment. Jinx grabbed a bottle of pills from her pocket that she had been holding all afternoon, even before Andrew had picked her up. "I got the stuff...." She said with a frown. The pills were actually very strong and should kill them the first time they took them. The girl in the black stepped up and grabbed the bottle, passing it to the youngest of the two boys. He didn't look more than thirteen. "Try one." The girl said, taking a single pill out and putting it into the boy's outstreached hand. He was about to put it in his mouth when Jinx cried out. "Don't eat it." She yelled, startling the boy and making him drop it to the ground. The girl smiled and took all of the pills out of the container and threw them at Jinx, each one feeling like a bullet against her skin. "That's just a small fraction of what we're capable of." She said, picking up a steel pipe from behind her. Before Jinx could react, the girl swung the pipe into her side causing her to double over in pain. The next blow came down onto her back, blood spraying out of her mouth. "P-please." She begged for the torture to stop. Nevertheless, the blows came harder and harder until Jinx was lying on her side in the fetal position, her arm cradled against her chest. She was bloody all over from the harsh torture and her right arm was now broken. She looked up at the girl, the pipe over her shoulder, and let out a hiss. "Your a cruel bitch." She spat, reaching over with her good arm and grabbing her ankle. As soon as Jinx touched the girl, he ankle began to sizzle and burnt flesh filled the air. The girl screamed and brought the pipe down onto Jinx's head, not nearly as powerful as earlier. The last thing she saw was the girl running out into the parking lot with the boys on her heels.
Andrew didn't worry about her, and why should he? She didn't say that she was coming back and he honestly didn't expect her to. He went to bed at 2 that morning without giving her a second thought.
Jinx woke up the next morning with her eye swollen and her arm unresponsive. With a groan she got up using the wall for support and checked her cell phone. 6:49am She looked at the brightening sky and walked to the front of the supermarket using the wall to keep her up. She looked at the front door and saw it was still closed so she sat down on the curb and laid her head against the wall to wait for somebody.
Finally somebody came by and saw her, "H-hey! Are you alright?!" it was a woman, "Oh my god!" she pulled out her phone and dialed 911, "It's alright, I'm calling the police," she squatted next to Jinx, "What happened to you?"
Jinx's head shot up and her hands went to her side. "W-wait!" She yelled, not wanting the police to be here either. "I-I'm ok." She stuttered, trying to get herself together. "I just...... fell...." She lied, trying to get up but being too successful.
"Off a mountain? You are not okay! You look like someone beat you with a lead pipe!" she pushed her back down, "Hello, yes? I have an assault victim here," she Said urgently and made sure that Jinx stayed sitting on the ground while she talked.
Jinx rolled her eyes, surprised that the woman had almost known exactly what she was beat with. With a big sigh, she sat back on the ground with her head in her hands, regretting that she ever met with those kids ever.
It didn't take too long for an ambulance and a police car to arrive. They lifted Jinx into a stretcher and bean treating her wounds while an officer questioned her.
"Who did this to you?"
"Who did this to you?"
"I didn't get a good look." Jinx somewhat lied. She didn't know exactly what they looked like, only their general size and shape. She allowed herself to be lifted onto the stretcher, letting herself relax while the paramedics began treating her. When they got her her broken arm she hissed in pain, jerking her arm a few inches away from them.
(Wouldn't it be funny if it was Andrews mom that called the police. xD)

"Come on, I can't help you if you don't tell me," the cop said, knowing she was lying.
The paramedics jumped a bit, "Alright... You're gonna need to go to the hospital for most of this," one of the medics said, "Who should we call to tell?"

"Sorry, I don't remember much else except it was two boys and a girl." Jinx said with a shrug. When the medics said she needed to go to the hospital she sighed and silently thought who she could call. Certain not her dad, he was in Germany for buisness for the next couple months. "Nobody." She said, throwing her good arm over her stomach. "Nobody to call." She repeated more to herself then anyone else.
"Are you an orphan?" the paramedic asked with concern, "If so, we're going to need to put you in an orphanage or with a foster family."
"No i'm not an orphan, My father is away in Germany for a couple months for business and I don't know if his cellphone still works over there." She said, carefully crossing her arms over her chest. She personally hated orphanages, all those stinky and whiny kids lounging around. She knew from experience what being in an orphanage felt like, she was in an orphanage until she was 5, then her adoptive father adopted her. "I'm not going to an orphanage either." She said defiantly.
"Cell phone work everywhere. What's his number, name and what company does he work for?"
"Adrian Scott, 598-368-2594. He works at Biozeneth but he's doing business with some board members to keep the company on track." Jinx said with a wave of her good hand before crossing them once again. She had tried his cellphone for a couple weeks now but it always goes to voice-mail. "Try all you want, I can't get a hold of him."
"We're the police. We can get a hold of him. We can even contact the German branch of the givernment," the officer assured her, "Where is your home so we can take you back once you're cleared from the hospital?"
(she could say Andrew's house)
