I would like to start where my backstory leaves off. So basically when I'm dropped off at my new boarding school (See character backstory) The school is not what it appears and neither are the students and staff. I start getting weird flashes when touching objects, and many of my classmates have some type of power supernatural or otherwise. But secretly there is a dark plot brewing between two of the edgier students that leads to a riff between the students as they take sides. Choosing to become part of the dark plans or to fight against them.
I took a steadying breath as I got out of the taxi. The driver got out as well and I handed him his money as he helped me grab my bags and load them onto a luggage cart the school thankfully provided. Thanking the man I took out my map and started the long walk to the dorm that would be my home for the remainder of the school year. I received the occasional odd look due to my hair color but I made it to my destination without any problems. Finding a room however was harder than expected most were already occupied. I checked seven rooms and was turned away harshly each time before finding an empty room. I placed my bags on and around the bed closest to the window before heading down to the main hall for orientation.
The large room was filled with kids around my age, all being outrageously loud. I found a chair in the corner and placed headphones in my ears hoping to drown out the sound, as well as deter the inevitable obstacle of awkward conversation with strangers. As my hand fell back to my side it brushed the metal of the chair I felt my lower back and neck tense in strain even though I had just sat down and a feeling of intense boredom. I snatched my hand back and it immediately left. creeped out I focused on my music and folded my hands in my lap. I sat there like that for a while until a strict looking woman walked to the front of the room with a microphone in hand and cleared her throat once before speaking. "Welcome to another year at Lansdale Academy, and welcome to all incoming students . . ." What a bore! I turned up my music a few notches to completely ignore the woman and her sleep inducing monotone voice. I sighed internally and watched the clock waiting for 5:00 p.m. to roll around.

(Furries are fine Sophia is just completely unaware of thier existence, and the fact that the school is anything but normal so I think it would be a great thing to kind of set Sophia's realization in motion )
A young girl, maybe around the age 13 by the looks of it, wandered down the empty, silent, hallways, past door after door, room after room.Everyone had made commotion around school earlier, saying that they were all struck going and listening to a boring speech she thought. Then again, since when were speeches not boring? Never. She looked down at her grey conververes, which seemed to be the same grey as her eyes, her blonde bangs falling into her eyes slightly. She brushed her bangs away, out of her eyes.Out of sight out of mind. She turned and went through the doorway' into the room everyone was in.It was like hell on earth in here, noise wise of course. She looked around, trying to end an empty seat. She managed to find one, and sat down just before a lady walked onto the stage.Everyone quickly quieted themselves.Ah peachy, the strict principal.Lovely.She sighed of absolute boredom as the women began the long, boring, speech. It felt as if it would never end.
With five minutes until Orientation was supposed to end the hall burst into commotion again. I jumped in my chair before realizing it must be done. As I glanced around waiting for the crowd to dissipate I began getting extremely uncomfortable. I'd always hated crowds and the noise level wasn't helping. I bolted the next time I saw an opening and bumped into a smaller blonde girl "Sorry" I mumbled I felt kind of bad but I continued to make my way to the door, too panicky to do much else. As I finally made it outside the cool evening air calmed me marginally as I stared to walk towards the door again.
She looked up slightly, just before she got bumped into by somebody else. The girl could have moved, but she didn't have time to react, to move. Before she could even get a word out, the other girl was off.She just stood there a second, then looked in the direction in which the girl had ran. What's her rush? she wondered.
Back in my dorm I began unpacking. I started by shoving all of my clothes in the large dresser provided.I decided I should make my bed next and busied myself straightening the duvet. After I was finished I plopped down on the edge of my newly made bed and looked over at the empty half of my new room and wondered if I'd ever have a roommate.
This girl, had just put her stuff in a storage room until the long speech had been over. She had been late as it was, taking her stuff to her room would have been more of a time consumer.Tick, tick, seconds would fly, and she would have been extremely late. But she wasent, so now it didn't matter. She walked to the storage room, she opened the door, and got her stuff.Closing the door she began to walk down the hall.room 208 her mind said.Room 208.She figured she'd have a roommate, seeing as though most everybody did.The girl made her way along. She looked down at a piece of paper, to make sure she had the right room number in mind.Apollo Knight.Room 208 it read.Yep, she got it right. She slipped the piece of paper into her jeans pocket.Room 204, 205, 206, 207, then finally 208.She knocked on the door.
My head snapped up as there was a knock on my door. I glanced in the mirror and hoped my bright teal hair did't put off whoever it was. Especially if it was my roommate. "It's open!" I called from where I was sitting cross legged on my bed.
The girl grabbed the doorknob, and turned it opening the door. She looked at her roommate with grey eyes, ..the girl from earlier? Did this school have a fortune teller or something.A little ironic. She had bumpted into her earlier, and then here they were, roommates.
My cheeks burned as I realized it was the girl I had run into earlier. "Uhh hi I'm Sophia." I said standing up awkwardly. "Do you want some help with you bags?" I questioned politely hoping the girl did't think I was weird.
She looked down slightly. "Hello.I'm Apollo" she said in a quietish, but hearable voice. "Apollo Knight".Most people when they heard Apollo, they either thought of that Greek god of music, or Apollo-8.
She shook her head, then looked back at the girl "I got it." The girl walked into the room, closing the door with her back, then walked over to her side of the room.

"Apollo? That's a nice name." I said trying to make small talk as the door closed leaving us in silence. I went and unzipped that help my more personal items. I grabbed my laptop first before placing on the desk near my bed. As I was trying to think of something else to say my phone rang blaring the chorus to 'the ballad of mona lisa' I scrambled to find my phone and answer it. As I grabbed it I saw my mom's picture on the screen and decided to call her back some other time as I dismissed the call. "Sorry." I apologized for no reason. While in my head I wanted to slap myself for my ringtone, most girls I knew thought my taste in music was odd, Apollo probably thought so too.
"Thanks" she said setting down her stuff on her bed.She unpacked a few things, things that could get broken. Her violin, she liked to practice, but most people didn't like it much.Phone, and all that stuff, laying them beside the other stuff on the bed.During the silence of her doing that, she began to hear music, she looked in the direction of Sophia, seeing it was her ringtone."Never heard that song before.." she said.
"It's by Panic! At The Disco." I said encouraged by the fact that she didn't sound like she thought I was crazy. "Most people haven't heard of them but they have some really great songs." At this point I glanced down and noticed her Violin. "You play violin? That's awesome! I tried to learn back home but I sucked."
( I love panic at the disco)
"I might look them up later.." she said.Concluding, she liked the ringtone. She looked down at her violin, and nodded."Yes, I play violin." She said."Would you like to hear....?" She asked.

(Me too! They are my favorite band!)
"Yeah totally!" I said genuinely excited, and curious to see what song she would play.

(I give up! World you stink. You don't even have any good RED, 3dg, or any good violin covers on YouTube!
Ah well, I'll settle on a song by RED, its slowish, its not fast..maybe start again, a calm version of start again..)
Apollo picked up her violin, and the rod thing that goes with it.She got the violin in the position in which you played it, and seconds later, she began to play. For a 13 year old, she was good.

As Apollo finished I clap lightly. "you're pretty good!" I said before it started getting awkward again. I burst out all of a sudden with the first thing that comes to mind. "So why'd you decide to come here? Do you live close?"
