She ignored him, continuing to sip the tea. Once finished she then quietly tared out the window
"i looked around his house for any kind of note stopped a vampire from snacking on you and maybe caused a little arson"
"That coffin felt... comfortable..."
"Yet I do wonder... why would humanity rely on a bunch of women replicating old warships, when they could invest in something proper like... actual ships? Or if its so Sci-Fi, maybe mechs?" he said as he stood up. "In reality if an invading force was to see these 'shipsouls', they'd be laughed at. Combat was obviously not the first thing your creators wanted in you" he said as he waved a finger at Yorkie. "A lack of tactical equipment, it seems. A lack of anything related to combat. You might as well show up in your pajamas!" he said
"I see." She felt embarassed.
he has never slept in a coffin so he just leans back taking another sip of his drink
"how about more tea revenge to get your mind off your embarassement"
"Yes, I think more tea would be good."
"the Shipgirls are cheaper to produce and tend to be smaller targets. designed for quick seaside skirmishes. their smaller size also makes them cheaper to repair." Umbrie gave her honest comment with an innocent smile. "and as a Nyxad myself, i am quite familiar with the need for cheap repairs and smaller hitboxes on what would be best counted as a skirmisher."
"it was a defense of why shipgirls have value as a tactical asset."
"'Cheaper to produce? So yeah, lets just produce human-like units and watch them get obliterated and give us all PTSD? That sounds smart, no?" he said with sarcasm. "Investing in one big unit can work out better then building several worthless smaller ones"
"cheaper cost to maintain too main problem with battleships was the large number of crew needed to run them"
"The problem with one big unit? Human don't get along well. Two, going back to the girl's hitbox point. Three.. would you really want to waste money on such an ineffective design? Bigger isn't always better. It's slower."
"yamato go BOOM" he had no idea what the conversation was about or why it appeared but well his point was made
"a big ship like the Yamato, is too big to reliably sustain without a good amount of destroyer escorts, a big target is weak to wolf pack tactics, flanking, several smaller units focusing their firepower. a castle wall exists to be breached, and the best siege engine is a mobile unit of smaller siege engines."
