He paid attention to his drink, and his anger was rising very fast here, it affected the glass who broke in his hand.

"OW!"

He searched in his satchel and wrapped his hand in a bandage.

"What a day.. That bloody tavern is cursed.."

Claude simply used a rag to slid the glass pieces to a small trash can. She later used another rag to wipe the rum up. Claude waved her hand to Oni before filling up a hurricane glass with rootbeer and topping it with ice cream.

He left a little bag of gold to Claude and he started stretching.

"It won’t be safe for me to even sleep here.."

And he still saw nobody he knew, he was looking sad, sighing, then, he headed to the wall, poking it, as the portal closed while he wasn’t looking.

He focused and concentrated himself on it, not paying attention to anyone.

"It is safe here so long as myself and my battle-brothers are present."

"Safe? Let me doubt about it.."

He turned to him looking annoyed, as if he heard a very bad joke right now.

"It’s not the case, even if i am here.. Some will be a problem, you can never trust easily, or else.."

He gulped.

"You know.."

"So long as myself or another Angel of the Emperor is present, you have nothing to fear. We are the bulwark against which the enemy breaks. We do not fear death, for we embody it in his name."

"Yeah yeah yeah, if you say so.. I already know an angel, i won’t tell who it was."

He sighed deeply.

"A lot aren’t brave around here, a few are, why exactly?"

"There will always be those who will try to hide when a malevolent force comes for them." Messinius explains as he makes his way over, "They are the ones who do not understand fear. We understand fear, in fact, we understand it so well that we fear nothing. As Tolmeron said, we do not fear death for we embody it in the Emperor's name. We are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, the Angels of Death! Angeli sumus mortis, et non timemus nos." The other Space Marines from Messinius's chapter, the White Consuls, who are scattered around the bar echo the phrase in response to their captain.

"I do not need an army, i am enough already, i can look for myself, i can protect who i want, nothing can stop me."

He crossed his arms.


"You’ll put me in danger more than saving me, so, i’ll pass.."

"As you wish."

"It’s not today that me, the great Peewit will be stopped, i will be a legend!"

He chuckled.

"Musician, fighter, and.. Wizard!"

His heart swelled with pride as he heard the Astartes from Captain Messinius's chapter echo their creed. He looked over at Brother-Lieutenant Tolmeron. "White Consols and Blood Angels here together. For Blood, and for Sanguinius"

The other Astartes wearing red power armor repeated the phrase.

He saw his girlfriend and blushed. He smiled and waved back.

"This tavern is crowded again.."

He said as he noticed the armies that popped out of nowhere.

Somehow, he seems nervous with guardians, probably fearing for something here.

"I’m sure this place is cursed, it’s not like earlier.."

"Cantankerous runt...."

"You were saying something? If you want to fight, you could regret it.."

He crossed his arms.

"Don’t understimate me, mutt."

He stood up to his full 7'9" frame "listen. You have been rude to everyone ever since you came here. You've disrespected several our patrons and my oldest daughter..."

Two spoons flew from the kitchen. One hitting Drael in the head, the other hitting Peewit.



"Drael! You know better. Peewit, there's no fighting here, sir. Thank you"

"Ow, fine! Keep him on a leash the next time, greenie."

He huffed and pouted, looking away.

"It’s unfair.."

"Leave the fighting to people outside this place, after all."
