Hiya! Jester here. This roleplay ad's gonna be somewhat different from any of my previous ones. It's going to be a bit more specific, but also at the same time not as much? (You'll see what I mean-)
For this one, I'll be using my character Ryodari, which isn't really my character, he's from the anime series: Children of The Whales. (Seriously, I mentioned it in his chara profile, go watch it! Totally underrated.)
Some of the plot is explained there, but if you have any questions about any canon information, for example, the use of thymia, please feel free to ask!
This isn't really set in the "industrial revolution" time period, it's just for sure not as modern. The only form of tech these people have is their ships. Which, float through an ocean of sand. (Yeah, no ocean water.) Or the ship that Ryodari comes from, can float in the air. Yeah.
So Ryodari isn't the main character, people on the ship called the Mud Whale are. Ryodari is on an opposing ship and wants to kill everyone on the Mud Whale. Due to this, there can be a couple of different plots that come to mind.
🧊Y/C already knows M/C since they work as soldiers on the same ship
🧊Y/C meets M/C during a massacre on their ship. M/C goes to kill Y/C, but Y/C is too smart to die just yet. This piques M/C's interest.
🧊Y/C is on the Mud Whale, and that's how the two meet.
I'm guessing this would take place before Ryodari becomes Orca's (his ship's 'leader') jester, because yeah, he becomes his jester. Though if you'd want it to be after, that, that's fine!

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Industrial revolution
Wartime/soldier RPs. Combat is a given and will likely be graphic, but there's the potential for non-combat "in the trenches" scenes. World War 2, Vietnam, etc.
Romance is slightly desired, but the overall plot is more important.
Details: Occasional dice use, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred. Will be played one-on-one.
I wouldn't mind using Dust or Ben for this, but oly if you want to
