It was a cold, rainy night.Police lights lit up one side of the city.Blue and red lights flickering everywhere.A figure fled through the rain, his converses splashing in puddle after puddle, spraying water behind him.Damn police.....damn misunderstandings.Just cause I was a bystander, doesn't mean I was the criminal! his thoughts yelled. The man looked back causing his blue hair, which was drenched with water to get blown into his face some. Some officers were chasing after him.Why he thought. The police chased him up to the room of a building. He looked back, they were following. He climbed up onto the railing of the balcony of the building, and jumped, grabbing onto the failing of the balcony on the building beside the previous one.He climbed up it, and began to flee again. But soon, they had made it to the roof.He was surrounded, he was trapped."Hands behind your head!" They called."There's no way out, your surrounded!" They said. The man looked behind him, estimating something. He looked back at the officers. He spread out his arms, and closed his eyes.He leaned back, falling off the roof of the building. The officers quickly ran t the edge of the roof. The man hit some things on the way down, and landed on the ground below. As the man hit the ground, a streak of lightning lit up the sky, and the rain poured down more. The things he hit broke his fall atleast. He probably broke two ribs, but he was alive. He slowly got up, and limped into the dark shadows of the night. Freedom. He was still free,Injured but free.
Isobel was stirred awake by the shouts and footsteps above her. What was going on? This building was abandoned for the most part, quiet. She went to a window and opened it in time to hear that it was police yelling at another person and something falling from the roof to the ground. Judging from the movement, they were still alive. She normally didn't mess in such affairs, but for some reason she was interested and there was nothing better to do. She jumped out of the first story window and pulled the hood of her sweatshirt up against the rain. Strangely enough, she was wearing sunglasses at night. "So what'd you do to get on their bad side?" She started walking next to him as casually as if they already knew each other and were simply taking a walk together. If the cops were looking for a suspicious looking man on his own, they wouldn't look twice at them.
He quickly turned around, hearing her.Sadly the quick movement, he regretted. He looked away, holding his ribs.He looked down, water dripping from every inch of his body."I happened to be around when a crime was committed...I did nothing.." he said through small, but quick breaths. He hoped she wouldn't run and tell the cops..
From above on the roof top Blake Loltel looked down at the two individuals just standing. They seemed to be talking to each other but he couldn't tell from this distance. He got up and hung off the edge of the roof and dropped quietly onto the fire escape below keeping an eye on these individuals. They seemed to have both in his view attracted a lot of attention.
The two appeared like people taking a mid it stroll. Besides the fact one was limpjng slightly and holding one side of his ribs, it appeared normal. But in the darkness, it wouldn't be easy to see that much detail.Aqua looked behind them out of the corner of his eye, he was paranoid a little, police were everywhere right now, out looking for him.
Isobel frowned. She felt like someone was watching them, but they didn't seem hostile for the moment so she decided to let them be unless they tried something. "Well you limping is going to stand out." She grabs his hand and his broken ribs heal, along with other injuries he might have sustained in the fall. A slight glow came from where the two joined hands, not noticible unless one knew to look for it. "Don't worry, I believe you."
He felt the pain fade, his ribs didn't hurt, nothing hurt.A slight bit of surprise lurked in his light blue eyes."How...?" He whispered. He didn't understand. He didn't understand anything. Why did she show up, why did she help him, so many questions, so little answers.
Blake had been keeping a straight eye on these two interested in why they were out so late. Blake didn't notice the glowing directly but he did see the low light illuminate for a moment and disappear. Blake became even more intrigued wondering if the individual had magic. He kept up high until they would be on the move.
Isobel grinned and nodded. "There. Now they won't suspect a thing. Just follow my lead and we can get out of here." She hooked her arm through his and started walking, looking every bit the blissful girlfriend enjoying being with her boyfriend.
Aqua didn't understand and all.Hopefully all questions would be answered later. He nodded a slight okay.He walked beside her.He continued the rain, he would stop it come morning. The rain Made a somewhat good cover, and it reflected the police lights, so if they were coming, he'd notice the lights faster.
Blake meanwhile was trailing the individuals from behind. He wanted to make sure they were not in any trouble or causing it at the very least. Blake was a quite Neutral individual but, he preferred to make sure no one disturbed others when he could.
"You have a place of your own close to here?" Isobel didn't really know where they were headed at the moment, just away from the scene. She herself didn't actually have a place. She could tell he was holding back a lot of questions, but her answers couldn't be said just anywhere.
He nodded but didn't say a word, afraid if the slightest word came out, all of his questions would spill out in a waterfall behind it.He looked up, his blue bangs messed up, some in FCE, others elsewhere, but he didn't care, he could fix it later. The rain rolled down his face.He created a streak of lightning in the sky.
Blake finally walked up behind them unexpectedly "Well greetings you two... Where are you two going at such an hour?" he seemed to have appeared out of no where. "Wonderful night isn't it? You both seem to have quite the heat on you from the cops. Mind to fill me in?"
Aqua turned around, hearing the man speak, afraid he was an officer. He didn't answer the first question."Yes, wonderful night..." he lied.He didn't answer the their thing either.
Ah, this must be our silent watcher. Playing dumb didn't seem like it would work so she smiled and said, "I love storms and rain." She ignored the first question, not that she really knew the answer herself. "This hardly seems the place to talk about that." She said more quietly, hoping he wouldn't try to turn them in.
"Allow me to give you an idea. I myself am not truly interested in rewards . or anything of the sort" he paces aaround them "I personally am more interested in how you both managed elude the cops without as much as a single pint of blood shed'
"Have you not noticed the cops are still around?" He asked."They just aren't driving their cars all around."
"Not every problem needs bloodshed and fighting to be solved. We're simply taking a different way out of this." Okay, maybe saying this made her a little bit of a hypocrite. There had been plenty of times where she would fight first and ask questions later, but he didn't need to know that.
"I suppose that works truly.." he looks at them "Well fear not I am no cop. I was quite curious of how he's now walking perfectly fine." he pointed at Isabel "Well your the cause for that correct? I don't find a problem in it but I'm curious of this" he smiled at her and nodded. "Healing magic correct?"
