"And you...I can't hear you that well. You're a little too tiny for me to make it work well, you see."
"It’s a smurf, not a ant, you can hear him just fine.
And the voice.. Pff.. I think it’s a snobby kind of voice, not really one that could appease any tensions."

Killian gave an amused huff and adjusted his reading glasses, "Childish, nasally... probably a type that enjoys bursting into random songs like we live within the plot-threads of a Broadway musical production." before taking a small sip of whiskey.
"Despite your.. Interesting demeanor, i cannot imagine what your voice will be..
A deep voice? A tiny voice that you can barely hear?
If i knew about your intelligence, then, maybe i could describe your voice."

BloodFang sniffed around Blackadder, trying to seem as cool as possible as he did so.
"L1KE 0N3 0F TH0S ST3R30TYP1C4L B4RD CH4R4CT3RS 1N F4NT4SY 3P1S0D3S, DUH!" He exclaims. "BR1T1SH 4CC3NT N SH**!!"

"To me, you seem to be...quite delinquent. Your voice makes me feel as though you are putting on a show of aggression, though, unfortunately, not the greatest one."
"As long as i’m not supposed to describe the voice of an animal as they cannot talk..
I am not so sure how to describe the voice of another, i need to talk more to another and maybe i could tell..
I have a lot of writing to do, for the garden, good luck to me here."

"Hmm... You sound like... Dead silence!"
Crickets chirp in the background as Cee attempts to converse with someone that isn't there.
"Ha-ha, get it? Because there's no-one there?" Cee looks around expectantly. "So there's nothing to listen t- Okay, you get it."
Cee clears their throat, sticking their hands in their pockets and whistling inconspicuously.

"Hey! Nobody talk about the paranormal stuff without me, that’s the best part, my life, my hobby.."
Besides, this one sounded..
"I imagine a gloomy voice, either that, oooor, a.. Robotic voice, for some reasons, robots are always trying to sounds hip, it’s weird, they should stick to the analysis, it’s what they do best.
And it’s what i do BEST too."

Killian glances at the young guy "So... are you also a robot?" he inquires with a hint of jesting before stating "Far as your voice goes, exuberant... filled with youth... a bit annoying as often goes hand in hand with the youth..." a sip of whiskey and finishes "But perhaps not overly grating like a squeaky teenager whose only recently hit pubescent years... more of a... fresh adult, eighteen, nineteen, twenty years of age sort of young... haven't yet experienced everything and yet..." he trails off with a smirk, raises his whiskey in a silent 'cheers' motion and downs the rest in one go.
"I was wondering where that bottle of whiskey went to, unless if you paid, then.."
He took the bottle of whiskey immediately and made it disappearing quickly.
"Your voice, yes, what about it? I’m not sure how it will pay for our services in my hotel.. Let alone, my bills."

(Response to Killian Colt)
"Don't take this the wrong way, but you're... like very proper in a off-putting way." Ofelia sounded unsure of herself. So she tapped her lip with a finger, just taking a moment to think on it.
"Real gentlemanly and everything without the swearing, no stuttering, and none of those good ol' slangs. You strike me as someone who'd likes using flowery language and even say random cryptic stuff." She paused, then Ofelia shrugged. "It genuinely makes me wonder if you're older than you appear... But it won't surprise me if that's the case!"
"Anyways, a lot of people enjoy the mystery, so you'd have no issue with keeping people's attention hooked to ya. And dare I say, I wouldn't mind listening to you tell me a story or two..." The fae sighed dreamily. "Your voice isn't deep nor high, just that nice middle range~"

"Yer not the tallest, but A reckon ye don't got a peepy voice in the slightest," Artie pondered, pressing her thumb to her bottom lip as she looked Ofelia up and down through lowered brows. "Got more of a melodic tang about a't. Dreamy, bird-like, ye know.. cheerful." ⠀⠀A half-smile curled the corner of her mouth. Art usually wasn't the type to tolerate the deadly optimistic and plantsy people, but something about Ofelia's quirky authenticity charmed her. ⠀⠀"Ye know, youthful, but not inna screeching kid k'oinda way- more inna 'A've never been in a starmile near a cigarette' k'oinda way." Few people could say that these days. Though she'd sworn to never be swayed by the down-to-earth bullshit that she grew up on, she almost envied the fresh 'child of the wild' vibe that Ofelia seemed to embody. Maybe if her surroundings had been less dumb and bigoted, she would've come to appreciate the boons of Mother Nature. ⠀⠀"Noticin' an accent too. Cannae seem to place it right, though.. Suits ye well anyhow, A l'oike it." Had to love the grandiose variety of 'weird ways to pronounce shit' that the universe had to offer. Art was pretty sure that Ofelia struggled way less with being understood by others than her and her dork.. |
"Not an accent I've ever heard of," Evadne furrows her brows in thought. "Though I think you're not from where I'm from."
She paces a short length around from where she's standing. "'Artie Irix.' Sounds like a name from a sci-fi novel. I'd say European, but there's a tinge of other-ness to it that's out of this world."
"You're a puzzle, girl," Evadne nods. "A fascinating one. I just hope that not knowing will bite me later."

Ollie's catalogue of memorised voices was large. They could recognise how everyone's voice in their hometown was different to the others. But describing exactly what made the voice sound the way it did was like trying to describe an extraterrestrial alien's fashion style. "A bit deeper than the average woman, but obviously still a woman's, with that open quotient seeming higher than the closed quotient," Ollie rambled, trying to buy themself time for hasty analysis while not remaining awkwardly silent. "Smooth, is the simpler word for it, perhaps it can be gentle too. A contrast to your gruff appearance. There's a dark resonance that comes with a having a larger vocal tract, and I sense potential to get real loud when you want to be heard. If that makes sense. I don't know, I'm not the best at explaining this sort of stuff." They scratched their neck as they spoke.
"As for accent..." They gave a soft hum as they tried to dissect the way Evadne spoke. But, having taught themself English using just films and radio stations as reference, they could recognise only a handful of 'news reporter' accents. Everything else was just a blurry, undefined collection of something. "Probably American. Not a news reporter. Not a villain from the 70s' films, either. I'm sure some town or city would call your accent 'local', I just haven't got the faintest clue where."
