The Corvette and its crew had alot to do "Marines, Prepare to land and when we do, Start evacing civilians by Phantom and Spirit. I have already alerted the ground to not shoot any of us on sight"

John came on the radio "i'm coming back i'll let the longswords take care of the rest" he then went to dock with the Pillar of Autumn Keyes was in the hangar waiting for John "welcome home John, I think after all this you want to go back to resting right?" John nodded and began heading down the corridor to his cryo tube then Keyes called Jun "we'll wake John back up if necessary but for right now we're in the clear" then the Pillar of Autumn jumped after the Corvette Jun was on

The Spirit Of Fire jumped after them, Soon the Corvette landed near the base they set up "Alright everyone lets get to work people!" Jun said and went to the hangar, and started helping civilians onto Phantoms and Spirits

Keyes went to the bridge "let's get what needs to be done, done" he then launched the pelicans to drop off troops to secure the landing zone

Cutter sent down Pelicans to help the evac, Soon the civilians were all of the corvette, then Serina quickly sent a transmission to Keyes and Jun "DESTROY that ship! I have detected a Covenant Transponder built into the ship! The covenant are trying to track it!"

Jessica was just staring at the ceiling, Bored. "Doctor, I-Im fine really" She tried sitting up. But it ended up being too painful

Keyes nodded "understood all batteries open fire on the corvette" The Pillar of Autumn began shooting upon the Corvette with everything it had.

The medic looked around feeling the impacts of the shells against the corvette "we need to get you out of here" the squad came over and lifted the Spartan making their way out of the corvette

Jessica tried to give the marines some help, But she could not support her own weight "Hows John doing?" She asked as they got to the hangar, Their was one Phantom left "Come on you two!" Jun yelled "we are the last ones off!"

The marines heaved Jessica to the phantom as best they could then keyes came through to Jessica "he's been put back in cryo sleep until needed again" The marines got to the phantom and used the grav lift on the phantom to get Jessica inside and set her down sitting up against the wall and they sat down themselves "jeez that armor is heavy" one of them stated wiping off some sweat

"Tell me about it, It took a few months to get use to carrying it" Jun said and took off "Keyes, We are all out! Light that sucker up!" Jun said and flew the phantom too the base, Were everyone else was. There was tons of Civilians now being taken to the small cities on the planet and Fire Teams reforming down here and people speaking, And Marines and ODSTs finally got the chance too mourn the lose of their friends

Keyes nodded "already on it" he said as a mac round made it's way to the Corvette and hit the bridge making a large gaping hole in the hull and the bridge almost completely gone except for the door the marines were all up to max stamina after resting and one of them asked "why do you ask about John, he's obviously gonna be doing fine after all he is possibly the greatest Spartan to have lived" he stated

Jessica turned to the marine "I know that, But I would have hated it if I went through all that and found out he died ten minutes later" She said smirking, A pelican came down and dropped down a bunch of new weapons and ammo "Thought you guys would need it" Cutter said to the Marines and ODSTs, The ODSTs started grabbing new weapons and ammo in an orderly fashion

A marine looked to Jessica "can you walk, or do we need to call an express?" he said breaking out in laughter another marine getting up and smacked him upside the head and dragged him off out of the Phantom "we'll be back to get you ma'am but first we need to find something to help get you down rather than just a bunch of marines" the marine said exiting the phantom

She seemed slightly offended by the first marines comment, but then nodded to the other marine "Thank you" she said and waited. Tegian was down their "I can move her" He said and went up and grabbed her and brought her back down "Would you marines mind showing me where the medical bay is?"

One of the marines walked over to Tegian "what your gonna want to do is go down the main hallway and the second hallway on your right is gonna lead you to the medical bay in the Firebase" he said and walked off to the pelican then Keyes came through "the way I see it this situation is gonna need John the whole way through so i'm sending him back down" a few moments after the transmission cut off a pelican dropped down and John stepped out and walked towards the barracks

Tegian put Jessica in the Barrack's medical bay and then walked out and then went to the armory. A Pelcian dropped down and a group of Five ODSTs jumped out, But they all had red stripes. They were the Most Trained ODSTs possible. The ran to the barracks, But not before saluting John, Even the leader of the group saluted John, Even though he was a higher rank.

The marines got all their new gear and headed for a few warthogs to go out on a patrol as they were ordered then John walked with Tegian "anything new happen while I was out?" he asked his assault rifle on his back

"aside from a loud mouthed Marine bad-talking Jessica nothing" Tegian said continuing down the hall "...I Noticed something with these Elites... They seem... They seem less motivated. They don't take cover or try to dodge enemy rounds, Its like their leader wants them to all do suicide charge to kill as many people as they can"

John nodded "they must have a motive for doing so otherwise they would be more evasive and deadly" he put a hand to his chin thinking

Tegian looked at John "What was it like on reach? I asked Jun but he would not tell me. Was it really that bad?" Some Marines heard this and left, They knew reach had been hard mostly on the Spartans that trained there

John shook his head remembering images "I only caught a glimpse of the chaos" he said and stopped for a moment "it was literal hell"
