There was tons of FLOOD on the hill but... Then a giant beam hit the flood hive and blew it sky high! All the flood in the area ran to the hive, some even ran right past John without a second though as if repairing the Hive with their BIO mass was more important than trying to kill him

"The MAC blast hit its mark sir!" Said a Marine on the Spirit of Fires MAC Controls

John made his way above the hill and saw a large metal structure "cortana..." he said and Cortana acknowledged "that's the sentinels alright" she said and john began sprinting for it getting closer and closer until the structure lit up and hundreds of drones came flying out and started shooting at the flood "what the hell?" he said to himself

The Sentinels had a flew different versions, they had the regular version (Im sure you know what that one looks like) A slower bulkier version of the regular Sentinels

and a few different colored Sentinels, One colored with red instead of blue with two beams instead of one, A green one that seem to be dropping bubble shields on its allies, And finally a lighter cyan blue one that was repairing damaged Sentinels, The FLOOD was soon at war with the Sentinels, Cutter then came on the com "I Suggest you use this time to hatch a plan"

John nodded "alright, do these sentinels pose a threat to us?" he asked watching the sentinels work in unison which scared him a bit as he stumbled onto the structure taking pot shots at run away flood with his assault rifle

"that depends, They though us a threat because we tried to blow up there structure to stop the covenant from stealing their FORERUNNER ships, But your not here to blow up there home so they should not see you as a threat until you address yourself as one" Cutter then saw something on the map "Chief, There is a dormant Sentinel launcher at the door way covered in BIO mass, If you free that. Your can get more Sentinels out there to fight the flood"

John nodded and started looking for an entry point which was in the front of the structure and looked up to see the sentinel launcher, he jumped up and started pulling the biomass off of the launcher and once the door itself was uncovered it opened up and the light turned blue although John kept taking off pieces of biomass to be sure it wouldn't get covered up again

Three Standard Sentinels instantly flew out and joined in the battle, Then a strange Orange Sentinel slowly flew out and looked at John. Then it dropped something and flew away, That something was on Overshield

John looked at the overshield and the exterior exploded and an extra shield formed over Johns armor, he went back outside and began shooting at the flood "what do we do now?" he asked not sure as to what his purpose for being on the surface was anymore after getting the facility up and running

"There should be a console in the heart of that structure that can fire a beam to kill most, if not all the flood" Serena said, then sent the location to Cortana

Cortana received the information "alright chief let's start moving" she said and John started moving "pushy much" he said and went down an elevator going further into the structure

Serena then spoke "Becareful, Flood might alright have got in" and truth be told she was right, A Heavy Sentinel was shot down by a flood combat form with a Spartan Laser, Quite dangerous

John ducked under the flood and shot at it with his assault rifle then collected the Spartan laser when the flood fell down and got back up "alright lets see, aha there we are" he said looking to the next elevator which as it went down led John into a large empty room with a single console in the middle and around it was a bunch of sentinels and flood fighting each other

The Spartan Laser had 60% Battery, Three shots left. The console had a green light flashing and tons of holographic buttons, But three buttons were flashing green like the light above the console

John took aim in front of him and started unloading his assault rifle clip clearing a path from flood towards the console and once he reached the console he started pressing the flashing buttons in a random order

Two tubes latched onto Johns hands, it felt like there were orbs on the inside, then the facility started shaking, and a holographic interface showed a beam coming down, The orbs controled the beams power and movement

John started struggling "what the hell?!" he said Cortana came up "Chief stop moving, your controlling the beam, aim it at the hive" she said and John started moving his hands getting familiarized with the way the controls worked and attempted to make the beam point somewhere

The beam hit a large group of flood troops and the beam instantly disinigrated them, Meaning they could not be reanimated. If John moved the beam to the righg more it would hit one of the smaller hives

John began moving his hands to a point where the beam started moving right and aimed it a little lower to make sure it wouldn't miss it's mark

the Hive was destroyed, and it seemed to weaken the FLOOD, ahead of that hive was a large one, Presumably the head hive

The beam began to weaken and the clamps on John's wrist was released then the beam died out "The beams gone" he said the Cortana contacted Cutter "We could use a MAC blast on the large hive" she exclaimed as John ran to the elevator making his way back up the structure
