Holli followed along, her smile fading into a pitiful pout. She hugged her stomach and watched Kori for a moment, before looking at the elf.
"If we are, I hope there's food around here... You don't have any food, by chance?" she asked with a slight huff. "I'm starving." She pouted a bit more in a very childish way, looking like a child being scolded for having a cookie before dinner. Ah, the joys of being young! Her stomach growled loudly again, and her expression became even more pitiful. Her countenance would have been more helpful had she been begging food off of passers-by; who would be able to resist an adorable little hobbit like Holli?...well, I suppose 'adorable' is a relative term.

Crysor held up a finger to tell her to wait a minute before digging around in a small pack he had next to his quiver. He didn't have much food left; he was going to restock at the Shire, but look how well that turned out. A few biscuits... Umm... That was pretty much it. The elf frowned slightly before finally sighing and handing Holli one of the hard little rolls, digging another one out and tossing it up to Kori, who snatched it out of the air like a cat.
He relaxed against the tree again, closing his eyes for a moment and just listening to the sounds of the forest around them. Hopefully that'd pacify the hobbits for a little while until they got to Bree and could get a decent meal.

Although Holli initially seemed disappointed, the little hobbit offered a grateful smile and she sat against a nearby tree. She adjusted the skirt of her dress so that it lay neatly in a little circle around her, and she sat cross-legged. After a moment, she began nibbling quietly on the biscuit, hoping it would satisfy her for a bit, until perhaps they could get some cooking supplies at least. If Crysor could shoot some game, Holli would probably know how to cook it properly, and make it take good. But for now, the best they would be able to do was cook it over a fire. Still, the biscuit was better than nothing.
Now that they were stopped for a bit, Holli began to study her two travelling partners. They were both a bit strange, she decided. Crysor was a huge elf, and silent but lethal with a bow. On the other hand, Kori was eccentric and outgoing, often speaking when words weren't really needed. But she supposed they were both kind enough, and good-hearted, and thus she would definitely remain with them, at least until they reached Bree and she could start looking for her family. For now, Crysor the Giant and Krysor the Excitable were to be her family.

(Happy thanksgiving, if you happen to be an American )
Crysor eventually stood up and began pacing around the little campsite, just checking the perimeter to make sure nothing unwanted was getting in. He was a little paranoid in that way, Holli may have noticed, but he would rather be safe than sorry. Besides, he had two little hobbits to protect now, and the orcs seemed rather interested in hobbits at the moment. He wasn't sure why; halflings weren't rather remarkable beings, unless you counted their size and their absolute placidity. He couldn't possibly imagine what they'd want with a bunch of hobbits.
Kori swung himself out of the tree once he was done with his biscuit, landing with a thump on the forest floor. He went to sit next to Holli, keen to know more about his traveling companion.
"So where'd you come from?" he asked, tilting his head to the side curiously and absentmindedly ruffling the thick, sandy blond hair that stuck up in all directions on his head.

{Happy Thanksgiving to you as well, no matter your ethnicity! x3}
Holli followed Crysor with her eyes, studying him as he paced around the perimeter of their little campsite. When Kori came to sit by her, though, she shifted her attention to him. She smiled at his question.
"I live in the fields north of Hobbiton," the hobbit replied, nodding. "My family runs the apple orchard... The Talsons. Maybe you've had one of our reknown pies?" She laughed softly, and paused for a moment. "What of you, Kori?" She took off her scarf and began folding it as she listened to him. It was dark green, and seemed quite soft. Little golden tassles adorned the ends, and sewn on one end was a cheery red apple, the sort of crest (but more of a trade mark, really) of Holli's family.

(I wonder if any other countries have a thanksgiving; I know Canada does because my math teacher is Canadian but idk about anything else)
"I think I've had an apple or two of yours before; they're good! I haven't had a pie though, I need to fix that.
He paused when asked where he was from; he needed to be really careful now. "Nowhere in particular, really. No one's heard of the town before and it's a pain to try to explain. I travel now though, and it's honestly a lot more interesting."

{Hmm... I dunno! Probably similar things... But I honestly don't know of any //shrug//}
"Mm, thank you!" Holli smiled at his compliment, and straightened a bit as he spoke of travelling. "You travel? What is it like? Where do you go?"
If it wasn't obvious, Holli thought very highly of travelling. Her mother had often told her stories of what lay beyond the Bounds, outside the Shire. Now she was travelling, but she still yearned for tales of places she had never heard of. She was a curious little hobbit and she eagerly ate up every story and little inkling of detail spoken to her about foreign lands.

(GAH, I'm sorry DX I got semi-grounded so I couldn't get on to reply! Sorry bout that.)
Kori just shrugged, thinking about it for a little bit. "Traveling is fun. It's interesting- you see something new every day. I haven't been too far but I have passed through one town where the Big Folk take up residence and they're huge and some of them are kinda mean. One thought I was a child- as if! They're tall but I haven't seen one as tall as him." He looked over at Crysor with a grin. "I think he's the tallest person this side of Middle Earth."
The elf glanced over at the two hobbits, raising an eyebrow before shaking his head in mock resentment, continuing his pacing around the camp. Those silly little hobbits. At least Holli had someone to talk to, though, since Crysor was obviously lacking in that particular area.

{It seems I'm just as guilty aha my apologies!}
Holli giggled at Kori's comment about Crysor, and nodded in agreement. "He is rather tall..." She paused, then took a breath. "I heard that Big Folk ride huge horses instead of ponies..." Ha, some hobbits could barely ride ponies! "Is everything really as big as everyone says? And do they really build their houses going up?" As opposed to, of course, the nice, grounded homes of the hobbits. A nice hobbit hole was all anyone would ever need! To have to walk up and down stairs all the time was not a thing that impressed Holli at all; though the little hobbit seemed quite interested in everything about the Big Folk.

(Lol, that's ok. FYI, I'm probably not going to be on much, if at all, today and tomorrow. I'll be back on Friday.)
Kori nodded vigorously, relaxing agains the tree he was sitting against as he told her about things. "Yes- the horses are almost as big as the Big Folk themselves! You have to be careful or they could step on you and never realize it. Most of the horses are really nice though, and they look just like ponies, only a lot bigger. And their houses do go up which is something I'll never understand. Some have two floors too, so they have to go up and down and up and down if they want to go from one floor to another. That would take forever! It's better to have everything on the same floor."
Crysor watched the animated retelling of the hobbit for a little while, looking amused, before climbing up into a tree and carefully stretching himself out on the branch for the night. He probably wouldn't sleep- the hobbits would eventually, and someone needed to keep watch- but that was okay. He didn't feel much like sleeping anyways, what with all the foul beasts about.
