2020 got scary. 2021 has been even scarier. i've finally finished highschool!... which is the main reason i dipped from the site for a while. GCSE's got stressful and i sorta broke under it all?? especially when it turned out i wasn't hitting the grades i needed for college. but..all that's over now, and i get my results in august.
so i thought- why not come back? maybe not fully, not yet. but hey, mays as well at least start creating characters and friends again right?
i guess only time'll tell if i'll stay or i'll succumb to the world's pressure again. we'll see

i'm still the same person, sorta. i'm not exactly 14/15 anymore?? thats-- a little terrifying to admit, despite only being like a year older lol is 16 even considered a milestone anymore
i'm still erratic, a little all-over the place? my humour hasn't really changed or gotten any better
and i'm still mainly a romance-rper because i'm a hopeless romantic
my character's have gotten more diverse, at least. they're not all up yet 'cause there's a lot of em but... ykno. i'll get there
maybe
i'll probably go back to making templates because CSS was fun
another thing-- slightly tooting my own horn?? but i got a job offer a couple months ago where someone wanted to hire me on this really cool reading website where readers paid for your work?? which was cool. i don't think they knew i was 16 and it was kinda scary how they considered me on parr for these adult writers who, looking at the books, were really talented adjskcx i turned it down 'cause of schedules n' stuff but..yeah i assume thats relevant thanks to what this little alien bud is telling me to write
i'll stop rambling now

side note i just realised it's almost 7am and i have not slept i should probably go to bed

I would like to tell you something I tell every young person in your position. None of that stuff with school, or just about anything adjacent to that matters more then your own personal self. I know you probably heard this before but hear me out. Everything can stress you out real quick, it make your life hell and I hate seeing things getting so bad with our school systems these days that we just have a new generation of kids jokingly and seriously talking about harming themselves because the common core curriculum has broken the mental state of many kids. Well let me tell you this. If you keep letting these things control you it wont ever stop. You will get through school, but you arn't done because you gotta go to collage. When you get done with collage you arnt done because you gotta get a good job. When you get a good job you arnt done because you gotta work your way to promotions. When you get your promotions you arnt done because now you gotta perfect your family life. When you perfect your family life now you gotta go get another promotion. Once you get that promotion you are at retirement age and now you dont know were your life went.
I have not bowed down to any of that. I have in the past summited to the idea of having to get a good job, or needing the best grades, but I tried to veer away from that and just focus on my own personal growth. I barely scrapped by Highschool with a few C's and D's, I didnt get the best job in the world, and I have yet to go to college. But I left my little town and moved across the country, married a beautiful woman, and live everyday in my own way. I am no shining role modal to look up to, but my point is is that I did not meet any of the criteria for societies promise of a good life, and I am currently happier then I ever have been at any point in my life.
Education is important, the fact that you get to go to school and learn is a privilege people take for granted, and not everyone in the world gets to have that. However this does not mean that Education has to just rule your life. I dont expect you or anyone to have all the answers but finding a balance is crucial in these sort of things. No exterior force can make you do anything you are not capable of and you need to realize when you have reached that limit and decide that you need to breathe and find yourself if not for even just a moment. If you get into the habit of focusing on you and forgetting about every other artificial thing it can go a long way to helping you have a better life. So please learn what you can, do what you need to in order to pass, and do everything you are capable of but do not hold yourself to a unreasonable standard and end up breaking yourself. No matter what happens, you will be okay. None of this can hurt you, and you any day that you wake up and can breathe is a good day.
Sorry if this isnt anything you wanted to hear but you arnt the first person I have seen on the site and elsewhere saying that school is stressing them out and some people make jokes and say it passively but I know its all very real and I cant stand to see a entire generation of kids going into the world depressed, stressed, and angry, because everything has failed to teach them how to just live a simple and happy life. Its your life, dont let anything run it for you
