Thanksgiving was fine and good, but when I stepped on the scale the following morning, I gained 5 pounds!

Fun fact: 1 pound of fat = 3,500 excess kilocalories that you over consumed (that your body didn't use and stored as fat). Unless you ate an excess of 17,500 calories (which I highly doubt, even with thanksgiving meals!) the weight gain is simply the (un)digested food accumulating in your intestines + water retention because the food you ate probably had a lot of salt in it.
We can hold up to 7lbs of waste in our bellies alone if we don't go use the toilet, so don't beat yourself up about a gain after eating a lot of food. It's not fat, I promise. In a couple of days your weight will even out again, provided you don't consistently stuff your face every day for the next couple of days. Cause then your belly will stay full.
Edit: to help your tummy out, drink lots of water and fiber rich foods, such as fruits and whole wheat bread or oatmeal. The water will help clear your system from the excess sodium and balance it back out, and it helps the fiber along with your digestion.
Oh, I don't think I could do that. Haha. I'd take that day as my day to just chill and eat.

My Thanksgiving was in October and I spent it studying for a chemistry test. But my sister made apple pie, so I had that going for me, which was nice.
You know what.. Maybe I should check my weight.. I weighed 124 a few days ago and now... I still weigh 124!? Oh I'm so proud!:')

We had a fun thanksgiving at a neighbor's house down the street (I even got to pet their beautiful Siamese kitty ). Ahem. It was awesomely fun and the food was delicious. They're great cooks and a darn good fine group of people (we had about 7? 8?)
Today my parents & I are having a very small post-thanksgiving dinner, with a wee turkey for 3 and some of the usual doin's of the season. Also Mom's making English Toffee. Mmmm~.

Hahaha! That sounds fun! Especially the Siamese kitty, that would've made my day! My family is made up with Panamanians and Mexicans ect.. So, we danced more than we ate. It was really, really fun.
