Kuro didn't know what happened, one moment she was fighting off some kinda of creature unknown to her and now she was waking up in a strange area that she knew wasn't the forest where she was before. She still had her backpack and weapons on her but Suta was no where to be seen which meant she now had to find a way to get back to him. She rubbed her head as she got up, groaning in pain. She could feel a bit of a lump on her head but it was small and hidden by her thick hair.
A young man walked throughout the land.A deck of cards in which he had, shuffling them for the hell of it, and to ease his vivid boredom. Why the **** did the world invent 'boredom'? he wondered. It was a pointless emotion. He looked up from his deck, he saw a young girl.He shoved his cards back into a neat single deck, and put them in his pocket. They were the only two around, but, why was this girl here?
Kuro looked over at the boy then stood up. She could see that this strange area seem to be a town that had been broken to pieces and left for the dust here. She started looking around, trying to find food and hopefully she'll be able to figure out which way to go to get back to her dragon friend.
He man approached her, "why are you here?" He came straight out and asked. He saw she was looking for something, "what are you looking for?" He questioned.
She shrugged. "I don't know, I just woke up here and I am looking for food." She said as she kept searching finding some fruit.
"That's unusual" he said looking around."There isn't much food around here, obviously, seeing as though this place is practically a ghost town, and nobody grows anything.". He noticed the fruit she had found."You might see those every now and then"
"You are just assuming that there is no food here, as far as we could know, this might have been a farming town that use to thrive so there might be hope. I am just trying survive." She said, blowing her bangs out of her eyes.
"I can assure you there wasent many farmers here.." he said."However, I may could help you?" He suggested.
She looked up at him and shrugged. "Be my guest."
"You were wanting food, correct?" He asked.
She nodded. "Yes, so that if it takes long to get out of this town I will have food wherever I go."
He pulled his deck of cards out, and placed one on the ground. If one looked closely it appeared as if the card was slowly burning into the ground. It began to flare. The flame turned thick. After a few seconds, the flame died down. There was a small box with food in it.He picked it up and handed it to Kuro. Then knelt down tracing his finger over the mark that was burned it the ground. The mark returned back to a card with the mark on he picked it up.The cards held an odd power
Kuro stared at what he was doing on the ground and was surprised when it began to set on fire. She had stepped back, trying to keep from burning her. Even though she was surprised, she left her face unreadable and impassive. She took the box he handed her with a nod of gratitude. She watched him closely then asked, "What was that you just did?"
"Something your mind wouldn't be capable of understanding" he stated simply.Nobody could understand. They were better off to not question, and just go with it.
It wasn't that simple with Kuro, she was as stubborn as a brick. "Excuse me? Do I look like some idiotic human?" She said, cocking an eyebrow at him. She had once died. faced many painful things, and was friends with the devil's spawn there wasn't much she didn't understand.
He shook his head head.He starred her in the eyes."Who says only humans didn't understand, I can think of many creatures out there that couldn't quite understand." He held a different card in his fingers. He let the wind blow it away. That one simple card cut through a rock, two trees, grass, a piece of wood, another rock, then returned back to him like a boomerang. The man before her was a demon, but cards weren't his only specialty, he could do much more, but cards were fun.
Kuro still didn't believe she wouldn't understand. "Try me. I have seen some strange and painful things in my life time so I think I could most likely understand." She already knew he was a demon, his scent gave it off. She had a strong sense of smell so she knew the strong and powerful smell of a demon.
He thought a minute."Okay, I'll put it in the less complex version. These cards are cursed. They're called Hell Cards.I may have stole them from Satan, ah but who cares. They're capable of almost anything." He said. The only reason he put it the less complex way is he figures she wouldn't stop asking until she for the answer.
Kuro nodded. She wasn't going to inquire why he stole them, that was none of her business. "Alright, what do you know of this place? Seeing as you seem to know something of it."
"The people left for their own saftey. This place has been abandoned for about a month or two, so the people are long gone" he said
