War. It is often seen fought on the fields of battle, brother against brother, neck at neck with tanks, guns, and air strikes. But there are many wars that go unseen. During the Cold War large powers often fought their wars by making other people fight for them and carry their influences. These were called Proxy wars. In the 80s it was starting to seem like there was no end to this. America and Russia were at each others throats, but going to war directly would cost money, lives, and recourses of their people. Instead their wars were fought by smaller groups of rebels, mercenaries, and terrorist, all funded by a large power, and nudged over to their enemies. And in many cases these wars had another unknown battle, the type that will never show up in history books.

It was around this time that Private Military Companies, or PMC's started to rise. These militaries dedicated themselves to no nation or borders, and could be bought out by the highest bidder. Some PMC's had good morals on their side. Others not so much. One such PMC rose in prominence during this period of uncertainty, Dimond Dogs. A nation of soldiers without any borders. This is were you belong. For years you fought along side these men, taking on battles in Iraq, jungles in the congos, and harsh conditions in Africa. And now you had a new assignment. Brazil.

In Brazil, far from its southern coast, there was an Island that most call Snake Island. The island houses some of the worlds most rare and unique species of snakes, and for years was left remote. That was until Pesquisa Brasileira de Recuperação Ameaçada or just PBRA established a new instillation on the island, Lazarus 4. This instillation was intended to be a safe area of operations to capture, study, and maintain the endangered snake species on the island. It covers a large half of the island within the jungle, and is awfully big for it to just be a research and containment center.

Recently though, some suspicions have started to be aroused. The base has been seen guarded by armed personal, strange noises have been heard at night, and large covered materials are routinely flown in via helicopter. The Americans are starting to suspect that the base is being used to test weapons for the soviet powers as there has been talk about Brazil falling under Communist rule. Brazilian Navy and Government have denied any allegations, but tensions are rising, and NATO wants answers. However if any NATO soldier were to step foot on that island and be found, it could escalate the Cold war and tensions with Brazil.

That is were you come in.

A anonymous bidder has purchased the services of Dimond Dogs to investigate Lazarus 4. There is a need for a nationless army, so that if they are caught, blame cant be put on anyone. However that purchase was under a month ago. A squad of 3 were sent in, and all communications were abruptly lost just a week ago. Now they are sending you in, hand picked by the Boss himself. It is your job to find out what happened to the previous squad, and to find out what exactly is going on inside Lazarus 4. A lot is on your shoulders but now is the time to prove yourself, and possibly even keep the world from destroying itself. If you fail, more Proxy Wars in this sector could spark, and there would be no end to the conflict.

The secrets inside this base are something that could shake the world to its core, and change the landscape of war as we know it. And thats if there is anyone to live after its all done
