She had been at this for so long, it was often hard to remember how she heard of this "Powerful Mage." Talk of magic and the people who used it sort of became scarce, but Elona never really paid much mind to it, rather she was more focused on finding.. Well.. Someone! She didn't know their name, just has a basic description of them. No exact gender either.
The only solid detail she had to go on was facial markings, and that was it.. It wasn't much, but it was enough to send Elona across three kingdoms and through several perils to figure it out.
It was just like her too, leave everything she was doing on a whim to locate a mage who may teach her things.. Before she had been training, perhaps a bit recklessly, but training none the less and was quite content with doing so, but then rumors started coming around and Elona took the bait and left her home away from home.
Currently she was just arriving to the small town of Alonior, though from the looks of things, the name was given more as a joke than anything.. Alonior was huge! At least four times bigger than her own village, which she had not seen in many years, but that was unimportant.. This is where all of the talk lead her, to this "small town", located near a great forest and towering mountains. She stood at the main gate, staring up at the massive walls before her and slowly proceeded through.
She was going to head to the only place that she knew had good rumors.. A Tavern. They usually were good sources for information! A mage matching the description she had, HAD to be there! Or had to have passed by, at least..

Elona was lucky, because there was such a person in the tavern! A woman with glowing white markings on her face. Glowing, because she was making a few jugs of mead float through the air towards the cheering men at her table. They clapped and cheered as the jugs settled before them and all toasted her before they started drinking.
Amarette laughed lightly and clapped as well, giving a slight glance around the room just out of curiosity of what was going on. When she saw Elona, however, her gaze stopped and she locked on. A magic user. She knew right away. Elona just had the magic feel to her. Amarette smiled and stood up, excusing herself from the table and going to the counter to pay for the drinks.

She had not opened the door all the way, instead, stood there with wide, starry eyes. She couldn't believe her luck! Usually it was absolutely terrible, but today! WOW!! "It's you.." She whispered quietly.. The woman probably didn't hear her, not like Elona even knew who she was.
The door was pushed open all the way and it would confirm what Amarette already knew. Elona's staff was attached to her back for all to see.. Pretty much a shining beacon that said, hey world! I'm a mage!
She nearly got too giddy and lost her train of thought. "Uhm.. I've been looking for you!" She spoke up and nodded. Yes.. she had been looking for this woman.. "You are the one from the rumors and stories? The powerful mage?" She questioned, hopeful on the answers being positive!

Amarette listened to her and smiled a bit. "Well, some of the rumors, probably. I have no idea what you've heard so how am I supposed to know, hm?" She turned to lean against the counter. "So, what do you want from me, hm? Need a spell to turn your loverboy back to a human because you accidentally made him into a frog with a lovespell gone wrong?" She chuckled a bit and looked around idly.
Elona's head swam with questions for the woman, but she pushed them aside and furrowed her brow a little. She shook her head as she pulled the hood loose. "N.. No, nothing like that. I.." She took a deep breath and tried to rally her confidence that she had just moments ago. "I want you to train me." She said with all the confidence she could muster, which was quite a bit, as she was a energetic girl, but still she was so unsure..
"I know so much, but I have so much more that I have to learn." She added, sighing a bit. "I have to." It sounded so desperate, but it probably wasn't.

Amarette listened to her and lifted a brow. "You want to be trained?" Well now that was interesting. She considered this carefully, smirking slightly. "Well...I guess I can train you. But it's not going to be easy, and you're going to have to follow my rules. Got it?"
She wouldn't mind some fun happening. It would be interesting to have someone around to teach. "I'll have to find out what you can currently do so what I teach you will be what you need. And any questions I ask, you're going to have to answer. Got it?"

Elona froze for a moment. "R.. Really!?" She looked down and then back up to Amarette. "Oh thank you so much!" She jumped up and down in excitement, removing the old smooth wooden staff from her back. It looked alot like a enlarged walking stick and it may have very well been that. "I know lots of offensive spells. I am still trying to get the hang of some of them." She admitted. "Um... We need to go somewhere!" She didn't get ahead of herself this time! Had it been another time she may have demonstrated inside this building and that would have been terrible.
"Of course! Thank you so much.. I just.. I've traveled for so long to look for you, I was actually really scared that you would turn me down.. It wouldn't have been the first time something like that would have happened." She explained, tapping her staff to the ground a little with a smile. "Really, thanks so much.."

-snip misedit-
Amarette smiled a bit at the girl's excitement and she chuckled lightly. "Yeah, yeah. Let's go." She gestured for the girl to follow her, and she headed out of town and into the woods. "Just a couple spells though. Most of the training will start tomorrow, alright? You've traveled a lot so you need to rest up and be ready. It won't be easy."
She stood back and gestured. "Go ahead."
She stood back and gestured. "Go ahead."
Elona was so happy. She nodded a little. "It wouldn't be any fun if it were easy." She admitted. There was nothing fun about things that were too easy.. She probably would come to eat these words later, but it didn't matter for now.
Once they got out of town and into a clearing, she looked around for a target. There was a large rock not too far off. That would be perfect.
She readied her stance and crouched low. A very soft bluish light gathered around her feet before she was launched into the air, jumping at least three times as high as a normal person would have been able. She hovered in the air for a moment, gathering her hand back before a seemingly liquid ball of fire was thrown down at the large rock, exploding against it. Another would follow, causing the rockface to turn black from the intense heat. The grass around the rock begun to flicker to life with flames.
Elona slowly glided down, but was not done yet. She shifted her staff and would give a large swing, causing a squall of air to push from her body and snuff the flames out before they got too large. Once comfortably on the ground she planned to break the large rock in half with a spell she had been trying to learn.. She hoped she had it down, but could never tell..
She placed her hand to the end of her staff, clapping it against it once. From it electricity crackled as she pulled her hand, and what appeared to be a whip made of electricity from it. With it wrapped around her hand she drew back and attempted to swing it, but she couldn't hold it's form.
The buzzing sound of the electricity got louder and louder, before the form of the whip broke loose, sending small bolts of lightning shooting off around her. A loud clap of thunder was heard. Lightning struck through the whip, hitting several spots along the ground. The staff was practically thrown, as was the girl. Another few claps of thunder were heard as the whip dispersed, leaving several blackened spots along the ground. Truly a very dangerous spell..
She had hit the ground hard and was unmoving after the failure of the spell. Whether it was from the pain from her failure or if she was knocked out, it was really hard to say.

Amarette watched the fireworks display curiously, though she got very interested when the whip decided to do its own thing. After everything had calmed down, she walked over, nudging Elona with her staff. If the girl was unconscious, she knelt down and put a hand over her head, a white light glowing for a moment before she would pull away and Elona would wake.
"You really have no idea what you're dealing with there, do you? I mean, the first few were okay. That last one though, you're going to get yourself killed and you'll have no one to blame but yourself." She walked over to the rock, tapping it lightly. Fire, flight, air, and electricity. Elements. "You control it. It doesn't control you. The moment you let a hint of fear into your heart, you're done for. It won't listen. It thrives on that fear."
