Heeey guys, guess who got their haaair colored~.



Guess who also isn't a dragon IRL and derpsmiles for the camera? This gal! Nah but seriously I got my hair colored, cut, highlighted, and straightened. It was super dark mahogany brown-red and I wanted to go lighter this time, so my stylist put lighter highlights in it this time.

Sorry about the webcam quality being kind of crappy (plus the sun is setting), but how's it look?

Thank you! I don't think the highlights are super prominent thanks to bad lighting + washed out a bit since their purpose was just to help lighten the color, but I'm glad you like it!

We're going to do so next time too (in 8 weeks--end of January) to make it even lighter and see how I fancy it, then after that I assume we'll scale back on highlighting it. I was told it's not really all that good for your hair to get it highlighted so much, but we're experimenting since I've gone without for a while now. S'all a learnin' process, which is nice because I know 0 about hair coloring!

I have no idea how to interact with barbers/hair stylists... My hair was long for so long, and my mom was the only one who trimmed it, so when I got it all chopped off I was like "uhh... make it... short?" I've gotten some TERRIBLE TERRIBLE haircuts trying to maintain it, too... and color, man, I have no idea how to deal with that. YOU ARE A BRAVER SOUL THAN I!

MY MAWM MADE ME COLOR IT. It got rid of the 5 grey hairs I had though, so yay!

To be honest 99% of the time I have no idea what I want or how I want it. I just tell Susan to trim up the ends (or in this case cut off a couple of inches) and fix up the layers. My hair NEEDS layers because it is naturally curly, and it frizzes up very badly and looks like I have a wedge-shaped-head. :C

Have you ever tried Googling images for hair styles that might be interesting to try? Hair really is an experiment, and fortunately it tends to grow back!

That's what I've done the past couple times! I've basically settled on the "Dean Winchester from Supernatural." But... one time I asked for that, and got something like this but worse looking... my hair is really dark and it was so thin on the sides you could see my skin tone underneath, basically. It was FUGLY on me. :gross sobbing:

Nope! It was too short to do anything with. But my hair grows wicked fast so in a couple weeks it was fine. And now it's extra scruffy again and needs another cut... but... laziness...

Just kidding, you look GORGEOUS! I can't see any highlights, but that's okay, because Copper Dragons are shiny by default!

@Heim: Aaaaugh I so know what you mean with the lazies. Before I started regularly *every 8 weeks* going, I didn't cut my hair for half a year. It got loong and bushy and horrible. I'll make a note to take another pic to show what it's like natural (w/o blow dry & w/-- I don't do straighteners though. Fear of burning myself.)

But thank you. :B Yeah, I doubt the highlights really show up since we washed 'em out a bit, put in the color, then washed again. Like I said, used just to lighten up the hair overall. We didn't do straight up light-orange-brown or anything because that required a permanent coloring, and Susan knows I am notoriously lazy and don't want to come in every four weeks to get it redone. Plus, no need: I don't have a head full of grey hair. You didn't see that.


... I have probably repeated myself six times now. Mind you, it's 10:53pm here. I'm a lil' out of it by this point in the night!
