It all started when Yumi was abandon by her parents at age 5. They left because the government was forcing all people to become soldiers for the armed forces. So they can defeat the dark creatures that roamed our earth. Yumi was left with just a little food her dog ("sky") and a bow. She grew up fending for herself in the woods waiting for the return of her parents to come home. She is about 16 now and she found out the government murdered her parents. Now Yumi has one mission to start a rebellion that can overthrow and destroy the government.
"Come on Sky we have to go we cant stay here at home anymore. Im sorry." Yumi leaves the house with nothing except for Sky and her bow.

A small tiger lay napping in the woods, somewhat close. He was obviously pretty deeply asleep as he didn't stir, even as Yumi and her dog approached. Seeing a tiger here was not common at all. Maybe it had escaped from a zoo?
Yumi looks at the tiger with a mystified look in her face. She points to the left telling sky to take attack position. She slowly approaches the creature with a her bow armed.She says to the creature,"Hello? What are you doing in these parts?"
The tiger jumps up at the sound of Yumi's voice, albeit a bit groggily. He glances at her bow and her dog then her alternately. His tail held high, he stares back bravely into Yumi's eyes for a moment then sits down. As he does, the tiger is replaced by a boy about 15 years old. "Just can't take a nap in peace." He grumbles under his breath. He holds his hands up to show her he wasn't going to attack. "I was sleeping. What are you doing in these parts? Not many girls wander around the woods by themselves."
"I live here." the girl said in a snotty tone."I think the real question is why are you here and what are your like a tigerboy or something?"
He stood up, getting a little irritated. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you owned these whole woods." He shot back in the same tone she used. He ignored her question.
Markal was a bit thrown off by her change in attitude and studied her for a moment. He sighed. "I'm Markal." He did feel like a bit of a jerk now. "Sorry, not much of a morning person."
"Its ok, So not to be rude but what are you exactly like half tiger or something."
"Well, kind of. Neither of my parents were tigers, if that's what you're asking. I'm a shape shifter, but I only have the tiger I can change into. And anything in between." Fuzzy orange and black ears popped out of his head to emphasize his point.
He shrugged and let the ears shrink back in his head and the human ones return. "Not really sure yet. I don't have a set destination in mind. What about you? Where are you and your dog headed?"
(Good idea i plan on trying to convince the people that the goverment can be overthrown but every on thinks they are too powerful so ill just start after your question.)
"To the Capitol City, Hey can you keep a secret boy?" The girl said
A mischievous glint entered his eyes. "Of course. It's not the kind of secret that might put me in danger, is it?" Just what kind of secret would she be telling him? Well, whether it was dangerous or not, he really was a good secret keeper.
"Well,Your going to think im crazy but im planning to start a rebellion to overthrow the government."The girl said with a determined look on her face.
Markal looked at her and saw she was serious. "Well, that is a pretty dangerous goal. Nearly impossible for most. Suicidal if you try doing it alone."
"Thats the thing im trying to find people to rally behind me." The girl said with a grin on her face
