Y/C is a prodigal (monster hunter/witch) who, after thinking of their old master who trained them, realized how dangerous their craft was. They realized that they could die anytime soon, and they had never trained someone that could replace them. They started looking for an apprentice that would fit who they wanted, but could never find anyone. Except for one little girl... Violet.
She was motivated and wanted to be in Y/Cs craft, that wouldn't be a problem, but... she knew nothing about it. She's small, fragile, undereducated, and was a mute. But still, for months, Y/C couldn't find another option for an apprentice, so she had to do. At least she's lovable.
Hello! Violet was originally a side character, but from a rp that I've loved and this rp idea, I've bumped her up to a major character! (Wooo, first girl in my set! Why only her? Um... I don't know

It would be great if you have your own lore set that you have for a world of witchcraft or monsters! (I don't have one for either, my closest one is lore for a Heaven/Hell universe)
I am adjustable on post lengths, so people useing one-liners or para posts are both acceptable, (up to 2-3 para) but please be able to do well with plot if you want it. (Able to spend time focusing on it, go back to it after a time of focusing on slice-of-life parts, and take time solving the conflict)

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Renaissance
Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
Romance is slightly desired, but the overall plot is more important.
