Zeke O'Malley was at his desk, sifting through some papers, trying to recall the last time he'd been on a mission, when the phone rang. The red-headed Irishman jumped, the papers falling to the ground as he muttered something under his breath and then reached for the ringing nuisance.

"O'Malley," he said, bending over to scrape up the papers from the floor. He quickly straightened as his superior on the other side quickly filled him in on the details. What had been a strained look of boredom now became an excited grin. "Yes sir, right away. Absolutely sir. Be on my way in less than five minutes." He slammed the phone down, grabbing his wallet to slip into his back pocket, his Glock into the holster at his waist, and then he was up and out the door.

Apparently someone had ordered some contraband, and the feds had caught a whiff of it. Well, that was all Zeke needed to hone in on the area. He was passing through the lobby when Riley, his coworker and a fellow female agent, intercepted him.

"I'm coming with you on this one," she said with a grin. "Malvarez's orders." Zeke shook his head but didn't argue. "Don't worry, I'll let you drive."

In less than five minutes, the two agents were on their way to the guesstimated destination, driving a black, nondescript SUV. It didn't explicitly say: FBI, but it was probably fairly obvious anyway with its darkly tinted windows.

As soon as the SUV roars out the place, the long haired woman steps out of her hideout.

"So, the boss acted again... Mpf..."

The girl flips her hair and looks around, before going back to hide in the shadows.

"This will be amusing..."

Zeke pulled up alongside the curb, parking just off the main street. He turned off the vehicle and then scanned the area.

"There," Riley said, pointing through the window. "I see a truck. Looks like a delivery truck."

"Weird, shouldn't they have left when they dropped off the package?" Zeke asked, slipping off his jacket and turning around to pull out a bullet proof vest from the seat behind him. He handed a second one to Riley, who copied him.

"You would think that, unless the delivery person is in on the deal." Riley shrugged into her vest as Zeke pulled his jacket back on.

"Or..." Zeke began, "we've got a hostage situation."

Riley growled. "Oh God, I hope not. That's the last thing we need."

Zeke nodded, but neither agent made a move to leave the SUV just yet. They were waiting for any signs of suspicious movement first.

Walking down the street to approach them from their back, the girl was being silent like a stray cat, moving slowly.

She noticed their guns, then gives a soft sigh: common weapons couldn't hurt her in any way, but better to keep safe.

"I just hope you two won't cause something, you know... You're under my line"

Finally spoke, slightly sarcastic.

"What are you two doing here? It's a private area."

"Someone approaches, six-o-clock," Riley said after a moment, just as the young woman approached from behind them.

The agents were not expecting to be addressed, so for a moment they were silent as if weighing the possibility that maybe she was the culprit or an innocent bystander, Zeke spoke first.

"We're sorry to trespass," he said, not at all apologetic. "Do you live around here?"

"You didn't answered my question, uhmmm... Agents, if I'm correct. Anyway, let's say I just belong near here."

Replies her, looking at them like they were an easy prey to hunt down.

"Once again, what are you two doing here?"
Zeke O'Malley (played by PenGryphon2007) Topic Starter

Neither Zeke nor Riley attempted to deny the fact they were agents.

"You belong around here?" Zeke echoed, a trifle disbelieving.

Riley cut him off before he could get himself into trouble. "No disrespect, but a young lady such as yourself would be better off in a better part of town, wouldn't you say? As for why we're here..." Riley pointed to the delivery truck perched just barely within view. "You wouldn't happen to know how long that has been here, would you?"

"Pointing out the fact I look younger than how I am, living near here is an hobby."

The girl then looks at the truck and gave a sigh before looking at the ground.

"It's been here since early morning, ten people got their hands dirty with something, oh, and there's no hostage anymore"

Riley snorted. "A hobby?"

Zeke shook his head, both Agents becoming serious when the woman gave them answers to their question.

"What do you mean, there's no hostage any more? What happened?" Only two things could have happened--one the hostage was killed, or let go. In either case, who was responsible and why?

Zeke grimaced. This case was getting grittier by the moment.

Riley leaned closer to the unidentified woman. "Listen, if you know so much about the events that happened here, do you know if anyone else is still around?"

"Do I gain something in collaborating with cops?"

Replies her, still being not as friendly as supposed.

Too many things running through her head, as her experience with people made them.

"And to reply at your question, I think the blood near that entrance could answer it."

Replies, grinning.

Zeke sighed. "Depends on your definition of collaborating and whether or not you're involved with any of this beyond being an innocent bystander." From the tone of his voice, he didn't seem that convinced that she was an innocent bystander.

Riley smacked him in the arm, before the woman mentioned blood at the entrance.

Both doors opened simultaneously, as the Agents piled out of the SUV to take a look in person.

"You may want to stay back," Riley advised the woman as Zeke locked the vehicle's doors. "If there's blood..." she looked at Zeke, "you may want to call this one in. Give HQ a quick update on where we are. Just in case."

Zeke nodded. "Right." And proceeded to do so then and there, as Riley began to advance slowly, cautiously towards the delivery truck. She held her gun pointed at the ground for now.

"I'm sure you will just end at hurting yourself. These aren't common humans. But neither as me."

Said her, grinning.

"However, Eya here. Call me as you prefer. Oh, supposing on your face, you may think I'm just an innocent here, right? You supposed wrong. Or maybe, not wrong at all."

Zeke shook his head. "We deal with a lot of abnormal people, I think we'll manage." Apparently he had misunderstood the "uncommon humans" part meaning more than just a sick person's twisted mind.

Riley was over by the delivery truck by now, sweeping it with her gun--first at the driver's seat, then the passenger seat. Checking for anything suspicious.

Zeke narrowed his eyes at Eya. "Eya, is it? I'm Agent O'Malley, that is Riley. Enough with the word games, are you involved or not?"

"As before, what do I gain in giving you these precious informations?"

Replies with malice, not intending to give info to no one, if not in exchange.

Zeke sighed. "Alright, if you're involved and you choose to help us, then we'll protect you within the full extent of the law. Depending on how involved you are, we might be able to acquit--throw out--any crimes you may have committed. That or we'll try to give you the least worst punishment. If it happens you're not involved but were just a bystander, then you may get a cash reward if this leads to an arrest."

"ok, ok, it's enough. No, unluckily for me I'm not involved, just these people are in my hunting ground, ruining the habit, you know... I guess helping won't be a trouble"

Replies her, trying to not sound over helmed or else.
She wasn't even a victim, just her personal issues with cops weren't the finest.

Hearing that he had her help, Zeke relaxed. "Hunting grounds? We're in the middle of a city..." he started to say and then stopped. He was used to dealing with all types of people, particularly the ones who didn't like cops.

"Alright, how about we start simple. Do you know if anyone is in the house right now?"

"The last scream was about ten minutes ago, more or less, right some time before you came"

She says, giving a shrug, being sure her hidden self was far away to be seen.
The last thing she would have were cops around, even explaining the hunting ground thing was an hazzard.

"Either way, there are more than ten people, for sure, I can feel it."
Zeke O'Malley (played by PenGryphon2007) Topic Starter

Zeke felt goosebumps prickle up his arms. "Ten minutes ago and there are more than ten...what, hostages?" This was going to require backup. Maybe even the entire precinct. Just what had they gotten themselves into?!

He realized he hadn't seen Riley for a few minutes and he turned to scan the immediate vicinity. Just the delivery truck and the house. And a few vacant streets.

"Riley?" he called out, then tapped his radio. "Riley, you hear me? Over."

There was a gut-wrenching pause before the radio crackled. "Yep, I'm in the truck, sorry." Suddenly the delivery truck's passenger door opened and Riley stepped out.

Zeke sighed in relief and motioned her over. "We've got some worrisome news. Ten minutes ago there was a scream, there's blood by the entrance, and there's at least ten people involved."

Riley frowned. "That's not good."
Eya (played by SociopathicFrog)

"Probably there aren't hostages anymore..."

Replies her, slightly shooking her head in disappointment.
