1. If it's really slow--imagine your characters and what sorts of trouble they'd get into if they were left unsupervised for a day.
2. Find some music you haven't listened to in a while, and click on random song links that pop up. Use common sense on this.
3. Think of which of your characters are completely incompatible and throw them together. What happens next?
4. Start a new project--or pick up a new skill: learn to crochet, knit, or sew. Maybe it's cross-stitching?
5. Go pick out a book at the book store or library.
6. Find a movie you haven't watched in forever. Try to quote as much of it as you can, then go back and watch it to see if you remember any of it.
7. Find a copy of your old favorite story and read it.
8. Brew a cup of hot tea. Experiment with sugar-to-tea ratios, or honey-to-tea ratios. Or if you drink it black, how long you let it brew.
9. Muck around on facebook or twitter or tumblr or whichever.
10. Experiment with cooking. Just make sure to have windows open and an oven mitt at the ready just in case. (And maybe a parent in the other room.)
