Crow Du' Evard (played by Miss)

In the middle of a relatively moderate sized city, the mage guild’s tower stood tall, directly in the center of the city’s limits. Its stone structure brushed against some of the nearby houses, thinning the streets around it. The roof of the stone spire was flattened in a perfectly square shape, and from above, the rune engraved upon it shone in a faint yellow hue.

On this foggy day, the rune sheds its off yellow hue throughout the sky of the city’s limits. The air is thick, and yet moist. Few are traveling the roads today, however, those with the smallest of magical talent have been seen through closed windows, traveling towards the stone spire, having received an official order to be present at the local mage’s guild for an important assignment or face the wrath of the magical court and sued, heavily so.

It is this letter that many have found themselves within the mage guild’s waiting room, furnished with magically enchanted chair cushions that offered vibrations at command, a slip of paper attached to the side of the chair, where the command word was written “Shake”. Upon the room’s left side, the door to the processing room was opened and closed, one magic caster being ushered in, while the other was ushered out, almost every minute. Men and women dressed in alternating, solid colors, sat behind desks, talking to themselves and moving their fingers as if they were typing, words being magically produced upon papers and letters alike, while others bustled between the various other doors within the room, some appearing out of nowhere, along the wall side, and vanishing just as quickly, when one of the mages would enter them.
Pluvio (played by Pantrane)

Moving as quickly as a summer storm, a dark elf, dressed in all black made his way towards the large stone building. He stood outside the door and was let in as a small dwarf was let out. Pluvio gave him a curt nod and stepped aside, letting the smaller one pass.

He went into the waiting room and took in the sights. It was good to not be cooped up in his little shack. Here he was, wondering why he had been summoned. The counter mage was led to one of the special chairs where he sat and gave his information.

Pluvio looked around the room as his paperwork was taken care of and he was registered. There were people of all different races and sizes scurrying about the room. In a weird way, it was also very silent... Very stoic.

The dark elf went from station to station, without saying much at all. His spring green eyes darted back and forth as he looked for some good company. Situations like this were the best time to meet new acquaintances from far and wide.
Fatali Mentalis (played by Kurt)

The water gensai made his way into the large room. His body concealed with thick navy robes, a gold trim at the bottom and and on the ends of the sleeves. Around his waist was a thick chain and bound to it was a massive book with a unique lock that only opened to a certain type of magic. Namely, Fatali's water spells. He extended his arm and lifted traced it under the command word on the chair. A soft "hmm" escaped from the hood as the mysterious mage refused to sit and paced around. He reached down mindlessly tapping upon the book he kept with him. His skin a pale blue tint. He wouldn't speak to any of the other mages, and kept himself a good distence from others as he waited his turn. He knew why he was here, he had already scryed for the reason of the summons, but kept it breif as to not learn to much to soon. Often times a bad idea. He lifted his head looking up to the ceiling, holding his hood in place with his free hand, as the other continued to drum his book.
Allestrina shook out her hair, smiling wide. "Made it!" She hissed happily to herself. "She looked around at the others, took a deep breath, and composed herself.

Finding a nice piece of wall, she slouched into it and observed.
Te'van (played by EonRising)

The naga muttered irritably to himself as he slithered through the town.
"They can't sue me for anything. I have no money... I am not a member of this stupid guild..." he huffed, "At least there's no humans here..." he sighed as he approache the stone tower and made his way in, his massive body undulating behind him in order to move.
Once inside, he just coiled up in a corner and analyzed everyone else while fiddling with his bow.
Pluvio (played by Pantrane)

Done with his check in procedures, Pluvio stood up. A few characters stood out to him right away. First, he noticed a water gensai. Together, they could probably raise one hell of a storm. It looked like he was still checking in, so Pluvio moved on for now.

His eyes turned to the wallflowers. He noticed a female brunette elf, who carried herself with a lot of grace. She would have to be approached at some point. Pluvio had learned never to underestimate a lady..

But the person he chose to approach was a large Naga. Pluvio approached him confidently and respectfully, as he could tell the Naga was not in a good mood.

"That is a nice quality bow", Pluvio said as he glanced towards Te'van. He clenched his teeth and waited for the response.

The gensai finally reached down and opened his hand over the lock. A small trickle of water flowed from his palm and slid into the lock then slowly retracted itself as the click resonated.

Fatali lifted the book and allowed the pages to turn themselves as he peered in. A softed golden glow shining from within the pages as he tilted his shrouded head, "I see..." he spoke softly yet just enough to be heard. He shut the book and the lock magically reatached itself. He now made his way to the check-in process ever so slowly. His very steps more of a fluid like motion than it should be. He turned his attention back to the chair he was standing at before and gracefully flowed his body up to it.

He glanced down at the sign once more and chuckled, "So...interesting." He knelt down and just studied the chair, never making a motion to sit in it.

A few other mages looked up, idly watching those walking around and entering the waiting room with partially upset and anxious glances. The door to the processing room swings open, a mage wearing a thin, latex, and white outfit, complete with large, black round goggles, stands in the middle of the doorway, its hands holding a clipboard in front of itself.

The mage scans the paper with the back of its pointer finger, before looking up, its goggled-gaze drifting between those gathered within the waiting room, before its mouth opens and utters a word, "Next!"

The gensai would be abruptly forced, through some powerful charm, to turn and face the processing room's door. A soft wind pushes against his back, and the black-goggle wearing mage taps its boot, repeatedly.

Te'van (played by EonRising)

Te'van hadn't bothered checking in. He cared little for institutions of any kind besides schools. Guilds, brotherhoods, governments and everything else irritated him to the core.
He watched the dark elf carefully as he approached.
"Thank you," he pulled the long, yew wood bow from his back and held it out for Pluvio to see, "It was my father's and his father's."
He looked over when the strange looking Mage came out and raised an eyebrow, "What in hell's name is he wearing?"

(If this is supposed to be middle ages, there wouldn't be any latex anything or lab coats ^^")
Pluvio (played by Pantrane)

Pluvio nodded and took up his own spot on the wall. He turned to face the scene in front of him. The hectic pace made him feel uneasy. Crowds were a bother, but it felt like it was something he had to confront.

"That is a very bizarre getup, indeed."

The fact of the matter was that the entire crowd was weird and full of surprises. Whenever mages gathered, one was sure to get a crash course on the bizarre.
Studied the dro elf in curiosity. "Never have I ever..." She whispered to herself. Excitedly, she reached into her satchel, pulling a large, almost antique book and began flipping through, looking for his race. She was so captivated by the elf, that she almost missed Crow. When her eyes caught those of the sensational witch, she blushed crimson, and quickly turned her attention back on the book. However, it was very hard to focus suddenly.
Pluvio (played by Pantrane)

Satisfied with his introduction to the half-snake man, Pluvio decided not to test his luck and instead focused on another elf. He spent much of his time alone and tucked away in a shadowy part of town.

There were many stereotypes about the drow and in this case, they weren't always true. He was just misunderstood.

Pluvio went up to the fair elf with his typical smirk. He approached her confidently as she stood at the wall and bowed curtly. "It is a pleasure to meet you, m'lady." His glove hand reached out to hers.

He watched for her response before asking, "Any idea why we are here?"

It was good to talk to another elf, surrounded by all of the hustle, bustle and diversity..
Fatali Mentalis (played by Kurt)

He stood and blinked as he felt the pushing to his back, "My my, no need for hastiness." he moved gracefully to the door and chuckled drumming his fingers on his book, "I had a feeling my turn was soon." he said in his whisper like voice.

He stepped into the room and then gently pulled down his hood and looked around, his very hair looked like water flowing from his scalp and stopping at his shoulders. Even his very eyes looked to be of water, "Now, I didn't want to be to intrusive, why am I here."
Allestrina appeared startled. She dropped her book and quickly pointed at it. The book emitted a bright, golden-yellow Light and abruptly changed it's course to inside of the satchel. "W-we haven't met yet, sir!" She curtsied and smiled up at him. "I'm Allestrina, Alle for short. And you are?"
Pluvio (played by Pantrane)

The mage nodded slowly. "The name's Pluvio." He felt a sense of pride as he talked about his job. "I'm a storm mage."

He moved to the wall next to her and watched her response.

In a hushed tone he leaned forward and asked, "Any idea why we are here?"
Alle's eyes glinted, "Storm mage, huh? So...you have command over the elements..." she practically leaped with joy as she leaned towards him, "Or do you command the whole skies?!" She ignored his question.
Pluvio (played by Pantrane)

"Nothing so dramatic", he replied. "I just dabble with the weather every now and again." Pluvio still had a lot of work to do before he would be that powerful.

"What is it that you do?" he asked as he slouched against the wall, letting his feet slide forward a little. He thought the yellow light was pretty cool.

It was always interesting to see others' take on the arcane arts..

The strangely dressed mage, with the large, black goggles steps aside, when the whispering man neared it. Turning around, the white and black mage (who is not Crow), takes a few steps into the room’s completely white walls, flooring, and ceiling. The mage’s gloved finger taps the clipboard within its hand, a few words appearing within the blanks upon the paper, “Section sixty-four of the Mage Guild law indicates the necessity of any nearby mages to be tested annually. Those who succeed will be required to assist the Mage Guild in its endeavors, or face the consequences of a broken law.” The strangely dressed mage continues to walk until its back turns about, pressing into one of the white walls of the room, its voice calling out towards the whispering man, “As the Mage Guild creates the laws for those who wish to cast magic legally, I would assume that you wish to obey this calling. When you are ready to begin the test, feel free to say so.”
Fatali Mentalis (played by Kurt)

He chuckled and nodded, "Can't we just skip all this and look at the final results now?" he tapped his book calmly, "I suppose not, that should take away some of my fun," he spoke with the same whisper like voice, before extending his hand, "And do you wish to see all three of my Arts? Perhaps a parlor trick?" He thought for moment then nodded slowly, "Very well, I am ready to begin your little test." he bowed lightly and waited for what they wanted to see.
Alles grinned. "I'm...ready to begin the test!" She squealed excitedly, giving the drow her satchel. "This will be fun!" Her hands glowed with Light as she began warding and shielding herself in a rhythmic dance. Light danced off of her appendages in little licks, almost like lava or flame.
